I’m a super fan of Wild Greens, in part due to the convenience of not even having to set foot outside during the colder months of the year, but in larger part due to the quality of ingredients. Yes, it’s more expensive than other options in the immediate area, but if you go in and ogle what they are offering, it’s plain why you are paying a little extra. I love their rotating specialty options(Monday = Burrito Bar, Tuesday = Asian Rice Bowls, Wednesday = Soft Taco Bar, Thursday = Asian Noodle Bowls, Friday = half of you didn’t bother coming into work so we aren’t doing anything special, get a salad bar). For the specialty items, they sauté up all the ingredients for a really yummy, hearty hot lunch. If hot lunch ain’t your thang, they got you. Salad bar, deli sandwiches made-to-order(the toasted caprese and the roast beef florentine are awesome) and pre-made assorted salads and sandwiches can be found in the cooler. They also have Hint Fizz Sparkling Waters, which I can’t find often. I wish they had a larger selection(as I love the watermelon one), but I get a peach fizz water nearly every day and love them for it. It’s now 11:24 a.m. …time to go beat the lunch rush!

I work downtown and had fallen into a lunch time rut of Sebastians, Pret, and Cosi. I found Wild Greens on Unilocal and honestly would never known it existed otherwise since it’s tucked in the lobby of the 100 federal st building. I got a salad from their salad bar and it was outstanding. Tons of fresh veggies to choose from and a pretty good dressing selection. The standout was definitely the ‘protein’ section though. I got the cajun shrimp and it was delicious — definitely made the salad. There was also grilled chicken and a barbeque tofu that looked really good as well. The only other thing I will say is that I have no idea what the other reviewers are talking about when they rave about how BIG the salads are. I feel like this place must have changed its portion sizes recently or something because I’d put this salad at MAYBE2⁄3 the size of Sebastians

That 1 star is for the sandwiches… My order is incredibly simple… turkey on wheat with mayo + a bottle of water. That’s just under $ 10. Ridiculous. Watching the guy make the sandwich is comical. * 90% of the time the bread is stale * He squirts the mayo on to the center of the bread(can’t be bothered to spread it) * He throws a piece of turkey on the center of the bread I return to my office, knife in hand, disassemble the sandwich and give it a little TLC(spread the may and arrange the turkey so that you actually GET some turkey with each bite. Occasionally, I’ll order the tuna and it’s not the nice kind(dark /oily). Why do I keep going back, you wonder? I have absolutely no clue…

Salad was phenomenal. Specialty is the salad bar and its many toppings. Tofu was delicious. Reminds me of Chop’t, a salad chain outside Boston. Fresh food. Didn’t get five stars because there was no seating. Great selection of candies and snacks from outside the US or rare snacks. Well priced and they pack the food in.

I’ll preface my review by stating that I’ve worked in the Bank of America building for years and I frequently bounce between the downstairs cafeteria and Wild Greens. As most people have already stated, the salads are on par with Sebastian’s and definitely better that the ripoff Cosi salads only across the street. Despite the steep price, the ingredients are fresh and the portions are also huge. Don’t fool yourself into eating one of these salads thinking it’s better than housing a few Wendy’s burgers at Downtown Crossing! The BBQ tofu is delicious and the employees toss on plenty — again, much more than the microscopic scoops of toppings at Cosi and some other spots. Wild Greens also has a good coffee selection in the morning for about the same price as Dunks or Starbucks and a decent bagel/pastry/muffin selection. Where Wild Greens falls short is the snacks and soup prices. Sure there’s a good selection, but for the life of me I can’t figure out why they feel the need to have outrageously priced candy bars from some exotic island in the middle of nowhere and candies that make you feel like you’re buying someone a gift rather than satisfying your craving for a snack. What’s wrong with carrying some Snickers bars or some Lay’s chips? I also can buy a Red Bull for much less walking about a half a block. I’ve written the manager and never received a response about how they justify some of their snack prices, especially the Red Bull. My other issue is the price of the soup relative to what it is at the cafeteria only steps away. If I work in the building should I be penalized for wanting one of the soup selections upstairs vs. downstairs and having to pay over a buck more for the same size cup? I just don’t get it. Head here for the salads and coffee… anything else just head to one of the other spots around the corner and save yourself a few bucks. I guess if you work in the building the novelty wears off pretty quickly.

everything here is fresher, bigger, and classier than all the other lunchtime takeout spots in the area. the set up is pretty decent. there are a bunch of options for snacks, including lots of chocolate. colorful salads in december?! hell yes! i know i’m not giving you much to work with, but honestly, just go see for yourself. wild greens is a nice break from j. pace, sebastians, cosi, etc. i was in a lunchtime rut, and wild greens got me out.

I would absolutely choose this place over Sebastian’s any day. The vegetables were so fresh, and you don’t have to scream over a glass plate to order, and the protein options just looked like better quality. The woman making my salad even recommended a dressing for me when she could tell I was having trouble deciding. Her suggesting was taken, and it was great! The soups looked good, and everyone in there was so friendly, and the prices were very reasonable. I’ll be back, this place was a great place for a huge salad!

Their salads are by far superior to sebastians– thats a fact. They have this AMAZING freshly cooked salmon that you can add as a protein to your salad. but, you cant add egg or you have to pay extra since egg is a protein– thats a bummer because I love egg in my salad. but when a salad and a roll are $ 10.04, I cant afford to add egg… its really a bummer. The people there are so sweet and kind, i love going there. Its just the price that’s a killer.

Still the same as before but their salads are about half the size they used to be(still more than ample for lunch). Try their chocolate chip cookie — unusually good.

I cannot help but add to the praise for the salads at this place!(Can’t speak for any of the other food, since I’ve never ventured away from the beautiful vegetable extravaganza.) Because they are pricey, I view it as a treat(I know, who thinks of SALAD as a treat?) but as others have mentioned, I just crave that tofu something awful. Also love the cajun shrimp(I think on Fridays) and all the rotating options in general. I barely even use salad dressing, the salad itself is so flavorful(especially with that tofu) — you don’t need much else. There is a Sebastian’s in my building, but I still make the walk to Wild Greens when I am in need of a massive multi-meal salad, because it is just waaaaaaay better. It’s true that in the winter there is no where to sit, so be prepared to take away. It is worth it!

Would you like 40lbs. of salad? Go to wild greens. Being a recent convert to the«salad is a meal» camp, I’ve been sampling the tossed salad bars near my work. I think Wild Greens is the best, with Sebastian’s coming in a close second. I love that they don’t have the same thing every day. They always have different specialty proteins like buffalo chicken or teriyaki salmon. They have crunchy noodles and sesame seeds(I need a little crunch for texture) and they even have some organic salad dressings. Their soups are killer too. The only thing missing is beets. I love beets.

holy crap — these salads are HUGE! yeah, you pay the price for them. but going to wild greens really brings home that concept every budget conscious young profressional contemplates: «sure, i could buy all the ingredients to make this myself, but after all is said and done, is it really that much cheaper(and worth the hassle) then just getting it here?» i myself have to trek out to federal from the other side of the congress st bridge. but it’s worth it – the classiest ingredient in the salads at the nearby metro café are some soggy artichoke hearts. sometimes a girl just needs some dried cranberries and fancy dressings :)

Veteran Financial District work-bots all eventually get sick of the bizarre Bermuda Triangle of lunchtime angst that is Boloco-Cosi-Sebastians. Wild Greens is a well-kept secret, inside the glassy walls of 100 Federal. It’s much less crowded, with better quality ingredients, larger portions and more interesting offerings than Sebastians(although I agree that the selection is a bit smaller), and features a daily fresh wok station that serves up rice bowls, lo mein and Mexican on alternating days(my workplace lunch buddy and I start gearing up for sesame lo mein day at 10am). Also, the lunch patio outside, while still concrete and cold, is usually less crazy at lunchtime, and has a far superior fake waterfall. That’s right. I said it. I’m the patient veggie type, so while I’d like to see more vegetarian sandwiches and tofu among the options at the grill, the BBQ tofu in the salad bar is good enough to inspire a level of craving in me that’s normally reserved for Cheetos and rocky road ice cream. While it’s not a total solution for the existential angst that lunchtime in the FD tends to inspire — it does help me feel that I am eating actual vegetables and fruits(although the green beans taste a bit like Lysol, skip them). Dare I say — it makes me feel more human.

Pretty great salads– I really enjoy the marinated portobello mushrooms plus cranberries and tofu cubes and other good stuffs. Also, salads are HUGE. Women in my office SHARETHEM. Also, they have cute little salads in plastic cups of tomato and mozzarella. They have outdoor seating, but it’s nice to take it across the street to Post Office Square Park. Expensive, like everywhere else in the Financial District.

This place is barely a venue — More like a 7 – 11 with a mini salad bar. It looks high quality, but there is not much selection. Does not replace Sebastian’s, and I was disappointed after my first visit with Kabir’s review on my mind. Not much variety; not much to talk about.

Phenomenal salads! I used to be a loyal Sebastian’s fan until discovering Wild Greens and their insanely large salads, which handily stole the crown. I give major kudos to anyone that can finish one of these in a single sitting; I paid dearly for all my attempts and on my one successful occasion, I didn’t eat again for 11 hours. Wild Greens is a hidden gem, tucked away in the awkwardly shaped Bank of America building downtown. When you find it, idle up to the salad bar and just start pointing to the ingredients you’d like from their healthy(plentiful and good for you) selection and the chef will go to town. Be prepared to look aghast at the proportions involved here, as you see your server load handfuls of walnuts into your bowl, and 2 – 3 whole hardboiled eggs, if you choose. They’ve also got a fresh fajita bar, a sandwich deli, soups, and an orgy of organic products snacks and sweets for purchase, none of which have swayed me from the salad. Caveat: The price. $ 7 for a salad, $ 9 for one with protein. And worth every penny.
