I’m so sad you folks closed! I don’t think I’ll ever find such incredible vegan(or otherwise!) pizza ever again:(If anyone knows their Mac & Cheese recipe, please share!!!

Yummy! It’s so nice to have an all-vegan pizza place. :-) Nice decore. Very funky-looking. This is SOMUCH better than TJ Scallywags. Yay for capitolism!

I’ve heard of this place many times and since it was within walking distance, the 2 of us went there to try a fake pepperoni pizza and use up a groupon. Bread sticks were ok, pizza was ok. Fake cheese and pepperoni were rather boring and too salty, so I ended up picking off the slices of pepperoni. Average tasting pizza sauce and the crust was slightly burnt, giving it a gritty charred taste. Also, as another reviewer mentioned, the meager amount of cheese and mushrooms on the pizza really was dissapointing. In my opinion, the price is too expensive for the quality of the food. Other pizza joints could make a vegan pizza(pesto for example) far better than this place for a cheaper price. I’m always eager to support vegetarian and vegan businesses, but this place is really about as little overhead as possible. High hopes crushed.

I’m a carnivore through and through. This presents a slight problem when dining out with my vegetarian(almost vegan) roomie. Based on the Unilocal reviews from carnivores such as myself, I was excited to try something different(and admittedly scared since my vegan dining experiences have been far less than stellar)! The two of us shared a slice of the kale pizza and an eggplant calzone and they were surprisingly good! The kale had a very nice crunch to it and the crust was crispy too. We were both really impressed with the eggplant calzone. The crust was soft and chewy on the inside with a slight snap on the outside and sprinkled with seasoning. It was great and we spent a few minutes wondering how they managed to make the dough so fluffy and chewy with vegan ingredients! Surprisingly filling, we had leftovers too. Don’t think you are going to pay less for non-meat options. Lunch ran us $ 20, which actually can be pricier than your regular pizza joint, given it’s self serve as well. 4 stars for vegan food. Peace o’ Pie wouldn’t be at the top of my list of dining options, but I wouldn’t hesitate to go again if I were dining out with non-carnivorous company.

This place is SOGOOD. The pizza does not taste like any sort of imitation of anything. It is delicious! Get the buffalo pizza bites, the fried mushrooms, ANY pizza and the tempeh sandwich. All is great. Go in with requests and they’ll make it happen.

I was so very, very insistent on going back here when I was in town recently. I was looking forward to one of my favorites – the EP calzone – but they changed the menu! So I got the white pizza for a change, and it was amazingly good. The tofu ricotta is definitely less«real» than Daiya(though it’s interspersed with plenty of Daiya mozzarella goodness), but it’s still great texture and flavor. The basil is the perfect addition. The marinara for dipping brings it to the next level, but it’s good without it too. Note: I love calzones because they’re good for eating on the go, like a burrito. However, Peace O Pie is so very generous with their calzone stuffings that you really can’t eat this without being incredibly messy. No complaints, but, also not good for being on the go. New thing! Fried tofu bites. I got the buffalo ones, and they were SOGOOD. Zesty, tender, fried… the dipping sauce on the side(garlic mayo, I believe?) was awesome and cut the heat of the tenders really well, while still letting the flavors shine. I am three thousand miles away and sitting here salivating. Hurrrrrrr. Someone FedEx me this shop please, or convince them to open a franchise in San Francisco…

Very good pizza here. I ordered their calzone of the week and it was really, really good. Could have used some more marinara on the side but I made do. The dough was super good, and the amount of ingredients in the calzone were plentiful. I sampled nearly everything my friends got including a pizza, a bbq sandiwch type thing and some sandwich with pesto on it. Everything was really good. I also got one of their daily doughnuts which looked amazing when I saw it advertised earlier in the day on one of their social media sites. It was a glazed doughnut dipped in chocolate I believe. Suffice to say, it looked a million times better than it tasted. If you’ve ever had the pleasure of eating doughnuts from Vegan Treats in PA, Voodoo Donuts in Portland or Mighty O in Seattle, then you know what a real doughnut tastes like. The one I got at Peace o’ Pie was very disappointing. I applaud them for carrying sweet treats like this though. Hopefully they will get it perfected in the future. The staff was friendly. Nothing to complain about there at all. Somewhat hipster/bike-punkish, but whatever. They were helpful and friendly enough for me and my friends. The décor of the joint is pretty bare bones and the seating area is quite small so don’t roll in here with an army of friends or you’re gonna hate life for a while. The total for my calzone, my doughnut and one bottled soda was $ 20 with tip. A bit pricey, but being in a sizable city and serving food with higher ingredient costs, I wasn’t that shocked by the total. This same vegan meal in the area I am from would have been no more than $ 14 at the very most. Whatever. Keep up the good work Peace O’ Pie folks!

Man this place sucks and yes I’m vegan. What a waste of $ 20. Sad. Very sad. These other reviews must be nuts or this is the only vegan pizza place they have tried. Ordered a medium pizza with mushrooms, onions and basil. There was maybe a total of 1 mushroom on the entire pizza. Sauce eh, crust eh nothing to write about. It was however covered with cheap onions, with a tiny bit of fresh basil. But the big problem was the lack of cheese. I mean they literally put prob ¼ cup of cheese on the entire pizza. There were many bites with no cheese at all. UNACCEPTABLE. This was the worse vegan pizza I’ve ever had hands down. And I’ve had vegan pizza in NYC, ATL, Portland, and Providence to name a few. Shoot, regular non-vegan pizza places do vegan pizza better, example: Mellow Mushroom. Hell drive 45mins to Providence and eat good vegan pizza with plenty of cheese at Nice Slice. 2nd– no fucking bathroom!!! Are you serious? Tell me who wants to use their hands to eat pizza, when you can’t even wash them in a bathroom? Nevermind taking any children here. Again UNACCEPTABLE. Clearly starving, vegan gutterpunks could only enjoy this place.

Delish! I had a slice of the day, which was crispy kale and garlic and some other tastiness. Very good and the crust was perfectly soft and chewy. I also had the daily mini pie, which was fried eggplant and squash. It was good(and good alternative to the usual fake meat combo), but it wasn’t as exciting as the kale pizza. I tried my friend’s broccoli/cheese calzone, which was tasty, but a little bland. Def would’ve benefitted from some more pesto sauce or some spice. We also had the oatmeal/PB cookie, which was soft and chewy… and warm! Nice touch!

LOVEIT. omg from the taste, to the composting, to the vegan this place is dedicated and I LOVEIT. that being said I need to say something that differentiates vegan cheese from real dairy. Real dairy cuts the heat on things like buffalo sauce. Diya(oh how I love it) doesn’t. Their buffalo chicken pizza has a ton of buffalo sauce and no avail. just beware. Loved the white pizza and i had this cookie from them that I will NEVER forget: choc mint shortbread. it was a shortbread cookie as large as my hand(fingers spread) with a layer of bright green minty frosting-esque spread, and finally finished with thick stripes of chocolate on the mint. SOGOOD. they have tons of specials on their website and facebook. SOYUMMY.

Dear NON-VEGANS, et al.: I praise this venue not as a vegan pizza lover, but as one who loves pizza. I am new to town, so I am unaccustomed to slapping down $ 3.50 for what I consider a small slice of pizza. But hey, they’re gourmet specialty pizzas, and besides, when has size ever mattered? My partner is vegan, so there is always a steady supply of Daiya non-dairy cheese in the house. Non-dairy cheese is not on my Top 500 list of YUM. However, prepared well, it can be tasty to the non-vegan tongue. I do eat it occasionally and Peace o’ Pie pizza has the skill to melt away any reservations. I ordered one of the specials of the day: artichokes and olives. Sir… Madam, I tell you there was pure love kneaded in that dough, seasoned in the flavorful fresh artichokes that were delightfully loaded and struggling to hang on like Jack on Rose’s ice floe. Although the dining experience was not a tear-jerker, I shall certainly return to explore the other sure-to-be delicious pizza varieties.

Best vegan pizza I’ve had in Boston. Scratch that. Anywhere. Not that I’ve had a great amount of wannabe cheese, but Peace O’Pie is something I can get behind. Not sure if I’d make the trek without a discounted offer, but I’d think about it, at least. So, um, that’s something.

A picture is worth a thousand noms. LOOKATTHATPIE. Makes me want to slap my grandma. The servers are cliquish and not that friendly and the atmosphere is whatever, but I come for my mouth! 100% vegan. Good location in Allston next to two other rad vegan joints. I like the White Pie with spinach and poperoni. There are a lot of naysayers who can supposedly make pizza like this at their homes. Please, I would like to order some take-out from you.

Are you Vegan? Are you Vegetarian? Are you a Carnivore? Are you an Herbivore? If you’ve answered ‘Yes’ to any of these questions, go take your dinosaur butt to Peace o’ Pie right now. This is some of the best pizza I’ve had, hands down. The crust, the sauce, the mysterious non-dairy cheese is this amazing blend of awesome. If your friends have told you that vegan substitute foods and rubbery and flavorless, slap them. In fact, slap them with this pizza.

Nope, I didn’t stop for the pizza. Yes, I picked up something from their pay by the pound Sunday brunch. At $ 9.25 or so per pound, my 2 pumpkin pancakes, and small scoops of the sweet potato hash, roasted squash of some sort, and the maple grits were $ 5+. Then I added the cinnamon roll at a separate $ 4.50 or so each. Yes, not an inexpensive meal, but I did like the pancakes, hash, and squash. The grits were too peppery, and the scrambled eggish pan didn’t look appetizing, so I passed on that. The cinnamon roll was pretty good even days later after a hibernation in the fridge. Some of the layers were rather thin and not raised by yeast, but the edges coated in the sugary melted butter and cinnamon were chewy sweet.

This place is my utopia! Everything is vegan and delicious!!! Even my carnivorous boyfriend loves the pizza! My favorite is the buffalo chik’n but let me tell you, it is SPICY, not for the faint of heart by any means. Other great go to pies are the peppy and the MD but honestly I haven’t had anything that I wasn’t completely in love with yet. fYi– they have a reverse happy hour special Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights: when you buy any size pizza in the last hour of business, after 10pm, for dine-in or carry-out you get another pizza for free! They have a limited delivery area and a small store front for sit down so I recommend take out but it’s worth the trip! I would also highly recommend the Sunday brunch, YUM!!! A vegan fest from 11am-3pm sold by the lb. They have traditional brunch goodness like french toast, roasted potatoes, scrambled tofu, sausage, cinnamon rolls, and stuff like mac n’ cheese and pizza too! So good it’s hard to believe it’s vegan but no worries your conscious is still clear, it’s all cruelty free!

I ain’t vegan and even Peace o’ Pie’s yummy pies cannot convert me. The biggest pro: The crust. Crunchy and crisp in the middle, a little chewy and thicker on the edges. The biggest con: HOWTHEHECK does anyone think vegan cheese tastes like real cheese!!! Yes, for being vegan, it was close enough, but REALLY, the cheese was just plain strange. First of all, they look like cheese curds. Not evenly melted like normal cheese. Then there was the greasy, buttery taste. It tasted like butter. NOT cheese. Besides that, I was a huge huge fan of the fresh toppings. My small EP was interesting. On the greasy side, but those sun-dried tomatoes came to the rescue! I wouldn’t order it again. The man friends Garden veggie pizza was way more delicious! Full of regular old vegetables like tomatoes and basil, but yet so fresh and flavorful. Save yourself some money and buy a medium. It’s $ 2 more than a small but 2x as big. Also, we didn’t eat in the sauna of a store because it was literally 100 degrees inside. Only 6 – 7 metal tables and chairs. We had to wait about 25 minutes for 2 pies. Man friend and I took our pizza’s to eat a cross the street on the cement park benches. Great for people watching and getting a tan. To reheat pizza, throw in oven at 375 for 15 minutes. As good as when you got it! Would I come back for more? Sure.

In November I left to go visit my sister in Vietnam for 14 days. My boyfriend asked me what I wanted as my last dinner before I left since I’d have to eat Vietnamese food for 2 straight weeks. Ofcourse I said PIZZA! So we went to Peace O’Pie and shared a vegan pizza. We got ½ one kind and ½ another. I kept 2 slices and ate them for lunch on the airplane. Yum Yum, just what I needed! Always good, always fresh, always hits the spot!

My girlfriend and I checked this place out tonight — it was either here or the taqueria across the street, and neither of us wanted to play frogger across Cambridge St for a $ 3 burrito. Turns out, it was a good decision. The place is laid-back and simple, and their menu has enough references to meat(without actually being meat) to make you think that you are in a regular, unsuspecting pizza joint. My girlfriend is a Veggie, and I’m sort of a halfatarian(transitioning back to eating meat), so it really was a great place to try. We started off with some breadsticks and a fancypants ginger ale and root beer(you know you’re adding $$$ to your bill when the bottles read ‘hand-crafted’). My only gripe with this is that sometimes a dude just wants a Diet Coke, and there didn’t appear to be any normal beverages for sale. We started with a regular order of breadsticks, which ended up being very far from regular — let’s go with super tasty! Very fresh, and the marinara dipping sauce was about the best I’ve ever had. The pizza, which was vegan pepperoni, mushroom, and onion, was OK. Getting used to vegan equivalents can be challenging, and the vegan cheese is definitely an acquired taste — stay open-minded and think of it as more of a spread(something mayonnaisey, rather than cheesy), and you’ll definitely enjoy it. Other than that, the pizza was delish! One final note — the service was great! The person behind the counter was extremely attentive and friendly, and answered a bunch of our specific veggie-related questions. This definitely added to our overall experience. Overall, I think this place is definitely worth a visit — we’re coming back soon to try the buffalo chick*n pizza, which almost won out over the pepperoni tonight!
