I have tried Paul in other two cities, and I have to say this is by far the worst experience I’ve ever had. I waited for my tomato mozzarella sandwich for more than thirty minutes, so I asked the server to check it for me. After that, he said for some reasons the order didn’t come out to the kitchen. (At the same time, there were other customers complained they have been waiting too long) My friend ordered a Cappuccino and it tasted like a plain, ordinary ice coffee. The server told us that there’s only one staff in the kitchen, they didn’t hire another person because usually 3pm is not busy.(I guess that person must be angry because he needs to take care of all orders.) Paul should HIREMORE people in the kitchen!

I was walking on washington st. looking for a café that had a full menu. Then I saw Paul! The last time I was at a Paul’s was in Paris. It is a european chain after all. So I was excited to see one in Downtown Boston! Unlike other café’s on Washington St, Paul has the range of coffee’s, salads, quiche’s and pastries. It always reminds me of the pastry shop in Paris. Now not all pastry’s shops in paris have the same décor but the pastries and food are similar. I like that menu names are in French, very appropriate. This Paul is tucked away in a building so a bit hard to notice. But it’s a great place for lunch /brunch. It does have a regular area for reserved seating but even a nook with a couple of tables if you need some solitude for studying or preparing a presentation. I think it’s the best café on Washington st because of the variety of foods. My favorite dish is the Alpine Salade, Strawberries, blueberries, goat cheese and my favorite touch, avacado’s.
