Greasy ol’ American Chinese food at it’s best. i love this place, under 10.00 it’s cash only and the guy behind the counter has no problem telling you. the man cooking is very polite and nice.

Lousy. SLow service, chicken that tasted like rubber. You’re better off going to the gast station across the street and eating a car tire.

If you are drunk and looking for cheap Chinese food, go here, otherwise, the grease will destroy you, and the quality of food is questionable. This place is awesomely cheap, and its above average for cheap chinese in southie. I got Lo Mein the other day and it was all noodles, no veggies, hardly any meat. I was pretty confused. However, they do have awesome duck sauce!

Was craving Chinese, went on to Unilocal, and decided to try some place new. Maybe my problem was that I was neither drunk nor hungover, but I was in the mood for some great, greasy Chinese takeout. Was quite disappointed in the General Tso’s Chicken and one of the appetizer platters. I even threw away the leftovers. Will not be ordering from here again.

Among the greasy, cheap, but satisfying Chinese food outlets in Southie — Golden House hits these 3 targets the best. There are greasier(eeesh) More expensive(how is that helpful in a market saturated by less-expensive options?). Or less tasty(we’ve tried them all). Ordered the crab rangoons: crispy, creamy, not overly garlicky or overly sweet. Acceptable. Singapore Chow Mai Fun: Really well executed. Fabulous curry flavor, nice big shrimp, pieces of scrambled eggs, veggies. One of the best in Boston. Shrimp Fried Rice: big shrimp, nice flavored rice — but no other veggies or egg.(?) Shrimp in Lobster Sauce: huge shrimp, nicely executed brown sauce, questionable ground beef pieces. The least successful of the items we ordered. Delivery service — fast, pleasant. They take credit cards(remember to show the driver the card you used to order). Order more than $ 10 — ask for your free soda(12oz) Order more than $ 15 — ask for your free small pork fried rice or 1 egg roll Order more than $ 30 — ask for your free large pork fried rice OR Lobster Sauce OR Crab Rangoon OR Kung Po Chicken Order more than $ 40 — ask for your free General Tso’s Chicken Officially our go-to Chinese Delivery place.

I like Golden House, I haven’t found better Chinese take-out in the Everett Malden area. I really like the sesame chicken and it’s a really good value. If you have their menu you can see coupons for spend $ 20 or $ 30 and you get certain sides for free. And they’re nice. But if you use a card for delivery you have to bring it with you to the door, something I always forget.

Perfect drunk or hangover food. Typical chinese food. Low prices, pretty good quality. Favorites include fried wontons, scallion pancakes, and chicken rice soup. No real seating inside which is good since there are no hooligans hanging out in there, but no real atmosphere either.
