Their food made me sick. Went there tonight with my girlfriend and 2 hours later I am with a bad case of food poisoning. Never going back.

Yummy sushi, decent priced and excellent service. We were seated right away. I had the Mexican sushi roll. It was large and filling but it did not have too much filler(tempura crunch that they sometimes stuff rolls full of). They came by to top our sake about every 10 minutes. Never an empty cup!!! Great experience, I’d go back!

The lunch boxes here, like salmon lunch box, are neat and tasty. Sushi are just at average standard. The service is also so so. Servers are not passionate or are without amiable attitudes.

Parking can be difficult but be patient their beef teriyaki bento is the bomb! I don’t know what cut they use but the ratio of meat and fat/cardolidge is perfect nice and chewy but not too chewy. I’ve tried everywhere and doesn’t even come close to Fin’s. All their bento boxes are the best in Boston, I like that it comes with fruits as well. Their sushi are pretty good too but after the bento box(a must for me) there’s not much room for other things. I can eat Fin’s every dam day but it’s really out of the way I live in Quincy now so 45 minutes drive… Wish they open one in the South Shore I’ll be there everyday!

Fin’s is a solid sushi option if you’re in the Kenmore area. It’s fairly Americanized, so if you’re looking for high quality Japanese sushi, you’re better off going elsewhere. Service can be a bit slow sometimes, but you get decent quality sushi at fair prices.

This sushi place was pretty good. I’m a salmon lover and they were able to accommodate my salmon needs! Pretty good sushi. The husband had spicy beef noodles and the dish was huge and he didn’t end up eating it all but he loved it! We also got a side of gyoza(fried) which we never do so it was okay.

Salmon grill bento box for lunch is perfect! I’ve been here for bunch of times and bring different friends for lunch here. They all like bento box a lot! Bento box has a lot vegetables, fruits, appetizers, and soup. All of these only cost like 11. That’s amazing.

Gone here a few times now — pretty consistently disappointed. I’ve gotten the spicy tuna roll each time and once it was delicious and the other 6 – 7 times it was pretty bad. Fish didn’t taste fresh at all. Eel and avocado roll is very good so I’d recommend that.

I don’t really wanna come back again cuz that tuna sashimi was almost turns to black. I asked for change to another plate but our waitress said that is normal color for the fresh tuna. Wtttthhh

To satiate your Americanized-sushi fix, this is your place. If looking for classical authentic sashimi adjust your expectations. Because I came here expecting the former, I was pleased. I AM a sushi snob, but I can also hang, and Fin’s is a great quick fix. Get the maine lobster roll. Loved this– lots of lobster and very fillling, but skip if you dislike mayo. Look at the Unilocal photos if you need convincing. Ocean Maki– light refreshing, less rice so not as carby. The honey wasabi was a touch too sweet for my liking, but overall, really enjoyed the freshness of the fish and that it was pared down a little bit compared to the obviously over-the top maine lobster roll. Both go great together. Would recommend this place as long as you know you’re getting Americanized sushi but the quality is good and the fish fresh. Definitely hits the spot for me, and prices are very affordable.

Lots of Americanized rolls to choose from. My go to chirashi bowl was ok, too many tuna slices and not enough salmon which is my favorite. But all the different fish tastes fine and fresh enough. Miso soup is sub par. Nothing spectacular but decent quality sushi at fair prices. It’s a quick walk from home so this may be my go to well priced sushi restaurant, because to be honest, Boston isn’t that great in the sushi department…

I don’t know if it’s my Jersey taste buds or not but another restaurant that just did not hit the spot for me. I came in with a group of six people including myself and I’m pretty sure we all left unsatisfied with our meal. We ordered 3 spicy tuna rolls, teriyaki chicken breast, teriyaki salmon fillet, chicken fried rice, crispy duck breast and seafood fried rice(I can’t remember what it was exactly called)… none of which really left much of a lasting impression on us. I would have to say that the best part of the meal was the miso soup but what sushi restaurant can really mess that up? Unfortunately, my experience wasn’t as great as the other Unilocalers.

Went here with a friend to grab a bite to eat for dinner on a weeknight. It was not too crowded so we were seated right away. We were pretty hungry so we ordered a couple appetizers and some sushi rolls as well. Pork spring roll(2 stars): These were probably my least favorite dish of the night. I don’t know what the filling consisted of, but it wasn’t very appetizing. Veggie Gyoza(4 stars): These were actually very good. I have never had a green dough before, but it was quite tasty. Spicy tuna roll(3 stars): These were pretty good – just about what you would expect for your average tuna roll. Philadelphia roll(3 stars): I might be a little biased against these since I am not a huge fan of smoked fish, but I thought that there was a bit too much cream cheese as well. Spicy tuna tempura roll(5 stars): This roll was one of my favorites of the night as the tempura provided a nice bite and the combination of flavors really worked well. Snow crab roll(5 stars): The sweetness of the snow crab really made this roll quite delicious as it was another one of my favorite rolls of the night. Mochi ice cream(5 stars): The perfect ending of the meal was splitting 4 different mochi ice cream flavors(strawberry, mango, vanilla, red bean). Strawberry and vanilla were my favorites, but all the flavors were very good. Overall, this restaurant serves up some decent sushi and has very friendly and quick service. Not a bad spot to grab a bite in the Kenmore Square area.

There’s not a ton to say — the sushi is pretty good, seems to be fresh, and is reasonably priced. If you want booze with your meal, it’s as cheap as it comes at a sushi place. Don’t expect to linger over your meal here though — they turn tables over quickly.

This review is for the Beacon Hill location. There are few sushi places on the east coast that impress me and this definitely wasn’t one of them. Mediocracy at best… I’m particularly saddened by any sushi establishment that puts cream cheese in their rolls. Also, I don’t mind a little bit of tempura but I felt ill after I had the spicy tuna tempura. It has too much tempura, not enough tuna and no rice. Didn’t see that one coming… We also had the ramen soup. It was a huge serving and was only OK so after a few bites I was done. The waitress was great but unfortunately I don’t think I’ll be back.

It was overall pretty good. We got the fried chicken Gyoza, vegetable spring roll, and pizza roll. The pizza roll and Gyoza were to die for. The vegetable roll was good, but I wish they had more vegetables in them. For the rolls we got about 5 plates of sushi. I love fried rolls and so got a few of those. The spicy tuna tempura roll had too much tuna for my liking. The Maine lobster roll was amazing! Lobster tasted fresh and cooked to perfection. The spider maki tasted a bit too fishy to me(like the fish was old or frozen). The salmon maki was good too. The place was clean and our waitress was very nice :)

In one line: quality, reasonably priced sushi! Favorites: Idaho Maki(less than $ 5!!), Cucumber/avocado Maki, California Maki. Rock in Roll Maki was okay, but I don’t love the spicy mayo. Their chicken fried rice is oily, but delicious if you want to indulge. Friends really like the Crazy Maki. Have typically always had stellar service in restaurant and with delivery, although last week a friend ordered the Spicy Scallop Maki and when it arrived it looked like it had been hastily thrown in the container or tossed around quite a bit during delivery.

I probably have to be on Fin’s most valuable customers list at this point. I order delivery from them at least once a week. They are a great value and the sushi is always well made and fresh. Their miso soup is my favorite in the city. I never get bored since their menu has so many different options, I can always find a good variety. They have always been prompt and if anything has ever been messed up(very rare) they are very accommodating and helpful.
