When I walked into the Prudential shopping area, I saw Charles David and beelined it to the store. SOEXCITED that I was going to blow my spending cash in this store. Ooh, maybe they can ship all my shoes home so I don’t have to check my baggage? Ummm, no. The selection was minimal at best. The store could easily fit into one of those middle of the mall kiosks. The music was so loud, I had to say twice, «What? Huh?» to the staff who was trying to greet me. At least they tried. Where, or where is the Charles David store I had in my head? One I had imagined would answer all of my shoe desires and needs? Not here.

After stumbling upon Charles David brand in Nordstrom’s, I purchased a couple pairs of heels for work. I love them! While on vacation, I spotted one of his brand stores in the Prudential building and had to check out his collection. Glad I did! Store was having an additional 40% off already on sale shoes! The employees were gathered around the cash wrap at first, but hurriedly found my requested sizes once I asked. The store is really hot due to the amount of lightbulbs burning brightly overhead. My mom actually left because she got so hot. If my determination to restock my shoe supply wasn’t so high, I would have joined her. It’s in a great location, great shoes, and great new additions to my wardrobe!

I can’t believe they’re still in business. I’m doing a little advance shopping for fall(yeah, it’s July), hoping for a deal on last season’s boots, and noticed that Charles David had a huge Sale sign in their storefront and a few pairs of boots around the store. I walked in and a woman was at the register with her head down, reading. She didn’t even bother to look up and greet me. As I walked around the store and neared the register, she asked if there was anything in particular I was looking for. I mentioned that I was looking at the boots, and wanted to know what the sale price was(you see boots in a store in the summer and you assume they’re on sale). Anyhow, she said that actually NONE of the boots were on sale. Umm… ok. Well, are they new for fall? No. Oh, so they’re last year’s and still full price? Yes. You should have seen the look on her face, like I had asked a totally ridiculous question.
