Boston Back Bay is my home, love it or hate it and I do both. I love the location. It’s close to… Everything: shopping, dining, theatre, music, sports, bars! I hate the crowds, on Newbury street, full of trust fund baby, foreigners, and students, Blocking the sidewalk, and smoking cigarettes, Right over Café tables of people trying to eat. I love living near beautiful parks like Copley Square, the Public Garden and Boston Common! I hate residents who act like they own the place, particularly suburbian bridezillas who bark at anyone who walks by, on public paths, as they take pictures. the deal: Love it or hate it, real estate is all about location location location. Back Bay is one of the top neighborhoods in Boston.

(score 1 – 100) — 90. This is a section of Boston, that I call home. It is the most sought after and most expensive part of the city but for good reason. Beautiful brownstones and tree lined streets. You can also live in a beautiful new condo development or and old school Brownstone. The very best restaurants and shopping are in the Back Bay. It is a little snotty because of the blue bloods but their is a definite change over in the neighborhood as foreign money is slowly changing over the culture. It is really the only part of Boston proper that has the feel of a neighborhood but without losing the luxury of being in a city. Plus the neighborhood association hasn’t complained yet about the Bat Signal… what can’t you buy at a comicon?!

Check out the sights, check out the stores, and then when you are done, check the bottom of your shoes… Beautiful brownstones, individual teeny manicured fenced in «yards» line the streets of this neighborhood. You can get a very good sense of how old the buildings are in Boston by walking around here. It’s a good place to take pictures. There are little shops and coffee shops, and bars within walking distance. Any way you choose to walk, you can get fairly easily to public transportation, and enough food and shopping options to make you dizzy. The best time of year to walk through here, might just be winter. The one thing that takes away from the picturesque streets, is the overwhelming smell of dog pee. Also, you have to watch where you walk VERY carefully — there are piles of dog poo all over the streets, large and small.
