Omg best, I’ve been eating their hot dogs for years and never thought about writing a review! The hot dogs are the best always fresh and hot, they toast the buns on a actual grill(be careful food is always hot). I was never in to Italian sausages until they came around, why? No seeds in the sausage most be people like the seeds I hate them, so I was very happy to have a seedless sausage I will always have lunch with them, and the owner told me they are upgrading to a food truck! Sweet!

Good hot dogs!!! They’re served on a lightly toasted bun. My only complaint was that they only offered diet drinks and I was so craving a Coke. But we can’t have everything, right?!

Shout out to Doug Sr, creator of the Big Daddy reppin’ hahd(hard, for you tourists) in Copley Square for 8 years running. How Big Daddy’s Hot Dog Stand came about is a pretty funny story, but I’ll leave that for you to ask yourself. He’ll be happy to spill the beans. Though the main draw is the Big Daddy($ 5), I chose to go for the 2 small dogs and drink combo for $ 6(come on, it’s a recession bitches). All dogs are prepped the same — first steamed then off to the grill for some texture. Don’t sweat the technique! Any time you’re in Boston and around Copley Square, be sure to give Doug a visit and you’re guaranteed to leave with a new friend. Who wouldn’t want to say they have a buddy from The Bean? So good! Hotdogs, sausage, cold drinks for a good price on the go. The«Big Daddy»($ 5): All beef hot dog, super meaty and hot. You can dress it yourself with sweet relish, yellow mustard, spicy brown mustard, white chopped onions, and/or ketchup. Awesome! The Italian Sausage($ 6): Flavorful and juicy. You have the option of ordering it spicy, where he butterflies it and injects it with hot sauce. I got mine with peppers and onions. It was kind of sweet and really good. Friendly service too. Located on Copley Square.

There are few places in Boston that give me a sense of home. This little hot stand though, brought the taste of good’ ol Chicago to the east coast. The stand is right on the corner of Boylston and Dartmouth, across the street from the library, right off the Copley green T stop. If you enjoy havin a dawg, at the ball game, on your way through downtown crossing, or where ever your spot is, give this stand a try. Great dawg’s, best I have found in the Boston/Cambridge area, have been looking far and wide, but this is the only place that can come close to substituting for a Chicago Dawg. It’s a family owned business, great people.
