Five Guys Burgers and Fries

We ran in here for lunch because every place else we wanted to go to nearby was closed. It turned out to be a great decision.
One of my dining companions is apparently a «regular» and they call him by his first name (is this an accolade to be congratulated of? I don’t know…), so he was stoked that he got to pop my Five Guys cherry and be there for me to experience the glory that is their comestibles.
I got the cheeseburger, the small fries (okay, there are so many fries — probably enough fries to give two small children their weekly intake of sodium — but still, I appreciate the «more is more» mindset), and the vanilla milkshake.
In retrospect, this turned out to be more food than I could handle. But with my friend who is a «regular» and another friend who completed her meal ages before I did, I manned up and went on an ingestion journey. Because I couldn’t bring myself to let a stray fry go to waste. It was meant to be consumed, dammit! Everything was very tasty. Especially the vanilla milkshake (do not DO NOT look up how many calories is in any of these items. Just let your gustatory palette go on a little vacation).

My favorite and go-​to spot for a burger. The burger is always amazing each time I come. It’s always juicy and moist that I end up getting the juices all over my fingers but I don’t even care because that’s when you know it is good. Love how you can get as many toppings as you want. The fries are delicious but a little bit too oily for my liking so I usually only get the burger. Double patty is bomb but too big for me so I usually just get a single patty. Five guys never disappoints. Loveeeeeeeeeeee it.

I know Five Guys is a regional chain, but that shouldn’t take away from the fact that they deliver a reliable, high-​quality product at good value with great employees. Even compared to several pricier (full-​service restaurant) options, I think Five Guys would still be declared victorious.
The location on Huntington Avenue was very clean, and my order for a cheeseburger with all the toppings was done perfectly, I had my order in hand within 10 minutes. As with other locations, they provide peanuts to snack on while you wait, and really top off the fries before handing you the takeout bag.
Five Guys does fries than Tasty Burger or Shake Shack, which I think would be their closest competitors. I believe they’re made in store at each location. People seem to have this cult following of In-​n-​Out and Shake Shack, but I’ll take Five Guys over those chains any day. It’s the fries that truly separate them from the others!

I’d give it 3.5 stars. Reliable burgers, awesome fries.

What happened??? I used to love five guys. But no longer. And it almost pains me to say that.
I will try to quickly run through all the problems over my *last two* visits to this location: no cheese on one burger, no pickles on another; charged for two fries instead of one, then made to wait for the entire long line to clear to get a refund; told we’d get the extra fries for free anyway, and then weren’t given them; completely forgot to make our milk shakes… more waiting; oh, and then a hair in my burger.
Need I say more?

Huge and very flavorful burgers, but greasy and fatty as hell. Always a good option after a night out drinking!

I am a big fan of Five Guys. Juicy and flavourful burger with Reasonable price!
I always go with everything, especially asking for more mushroom. And the free peanuts which is the best friend with baseball game were also good! The staff were very friendly and quick to take the order. If you are in a hurry, this is definitely a good place to grab sth to eat.

These burgers and fries taste so good !!!
They make everything fresh and they even have a great app for ordering food so it’s ready when you arrive.

Five guys always hits the spot, great burgers and Cajun fries, most of the time I go there it’s quick and easy. You really can’t complain about that. Price is the only down side.

They let us in 4 mins before close and showed no resentment!!!

wanted to grab a quick snack before the show. the staff were really friendly and quick to take the other — a large fries. Darn it! should have gotten a medium. Couldn’t finish it because it was too much — more than what i thought it would be but than again, it was $ 5!!! Plenty of seating, love the bat style chairs rather than just the tables. peanuts were good too!

Five Guys is delicious and the burger is well worth the price if you get lots of toppings. For the people comparing this to In and Out burger, don’t bother. In and out burger is amazing, but you can’t get in on the east coast, so stop reminiscing.
Don’t get the fries. They are never that good for some reason.
Tip: you can get extra of any of the included toppings at no extra charge (each topiing can be light, regular, to extra).

Been here once, and the burger and fries were great. They had my toppings correct (Can’t say the same for one of their other restaurants). Love that 5 guys have double patties. Food was good, price reasonable, and fast service. I’ve tried burgers at Shake Shack and In-​N-​Out, and I must say 5 guys win hands down.

The thing about 5 Guys is that it’s always decent. Even though I’m from California, I like 5 Guys better than In-​n-​Out, and this is no exception. They make the food quickly, are friendly, and the burger tastes good. It’s cheap too. I’m not a fan of fast food, but if I need a burger, this 5 Guys definitely does the trick.

We eat here once in awhile. Everything is made fresh to order. The grilled cheese is a hit or miss depending on the chef. And burgers are alright — I wish they would melt the cheese. The Cajun fries are good and I like how they always pour a little extra into your bag. Good and friendly service.

I’m from Southern California and the 5 Guys there is disappointing and not at all worth the price. But here on the East Coast the burgers here are so delicious and the servings humungous. I paid just 10 dollars for a burger and regular fries that left me satisfied for the rest of my day. The patties were juicy, the vegetables were all very fresh, and the fries were so plentiful that they filled my entire bag.
I’ve found that the burgers served at West Coast 5 Guys are always too soggy and «slippery (?)», but the burger I got here was perfect with every bite.
Totally worth it.

These guys are great. I come here for lunch about once a week, don’t judge, and they always remember me! My food is almost always amazing, and those cajun fries! Only negative, sometimes the grill guy will just kill the burgers. Flipping it a hundred times won’t help it cook any faster. Also, squeezing all the juice out of it just makes it dry, and also does not make it cook any faster! Like I said, the squeezy burger guy is not there all the time, but man you can tell the difference when the manager is on the line. WAY better! Anyway, the people are always super friendly and my order is always spot on. Doesn’t get much better.

We ran in here to grab food before the Celtics game on friday and was totally suprised to find that our server, Ben, understood and made every effort to make sure we had plenty of time to get there. Thank you Ben!
I ordered the Bacon Cheddar Burger and it was amazing! The only thing is just ask what «medium» is because mine was a little on the bloody side of «medium». The fries were amazing and they were very accomidating to my brother’s particular tastes. The burgers are huge so save room for sure and they are not a small order of fries, just a heads up! I couldn’t be happier with our experience here. Good Food, Good Service and Great Times! Can’t wait to be back.

Woo! Great burger that didn’t seem greasy but filled with all that lovin’. For $ 5.23 that little bacon burger with grilled onions, grilled mushrooms, ketchup, lettuce, tomato, and more onions, was the perfect sized burger for me. But I think Uburger has a great burger like this called the yuppie burger but bigger. The only thing that gives five guys a leg up is the awesome fries and if you’re into it, the free peanuts.

It finally arrived to Boston! I tried it today and liked it a lot. Super awesome and friendly stuff and I hope they won’t change over time. I really like when I choose to pick my own things for the burger. Since its a new location everything is very clean and they are busy serving tons of Northeastern students. Its a very convenient location and I will come over more often.
All the ingredients are fresh and tasty but I don’t like the fries with skin, but it might be only me. love the unlimited amount of peanuts you can have!
