This is based on the staff. The employees are always super unfriendly and rude. I’ve been there twice now and each time they make it seem like it is an absolute hassle to answer the phone or take an order. I called once and said I would come pick up the order to ensure it would be here on time and when I arrived the woman behind the counter screamed at me that I was too early. I wasn’t expecting it to be done and did not indicate I was. There aren’t many quick pizza delivery options in Financial District, but I know I will never go there again.

CHEAP pizza and lots of it. Order a slice and you get a full third of a pizza for under $ 3 if I remember correctly. It’s not the most orgasmic pizza you’ll ever have, but it’s good and the price makes it even better! There’s not much atmosphere and the seating upstairs gets a little stuffy sometimes. If it’s nice out, take your pizza down the street and around the corner to the plaza at 100 Summer and enjoy!

The only positive of this place is the amount of food you can get for your money, but the quality is often lacking. The bread is often stale and the subs ingredients could be better. With a ton of other sandwich shops in the area, I no longer go to Al’s and if I am in the area will go to the Quizno’s next door. If you are looking for a footlong + sub of so so quality for about 7 bucks then Al Capones is your place.

Five stars for LOTS of food! Their«small» subs are about 10″, and their large subs is exactly 20″.(Quality is not bad at all, and they don’t cost more than usual.)

Been eating their pizza and subs since I was a wee one. They used to have multiple locations, but now there is only one. I love their«the bomb» pizza which has pretty much all the meats and veggies you can imagine. The subs are good too and since they are so huge you can get many meals out of them. I usually go with the chicken parm or the Italian. Their sauce does have a different taste, but that’s what keeps me coming back. Give them a shot and if you drop your business card in the bowl they send you email coupons and enter you in the monthly drawing for a $ 50 gift certificate. I wonder how many inches of sub I could buy with that!!!

The pizza is middlin’, but the subs are out of this world. The«small» is the length of your forearm, the large is a full-sized baguette! My tip: go here for lunch if you know you’re working late — you’ll get dinner from the same order. Or take a «large» and go have a picnic with three of your best friends :)

We always went to Al Capones for their subs not Pizza. As I remember their sauce was kind of funky and didn’t taste fresh. Kind of soupy pie. Go for their subs. Haymarket has better pizza. 2 stars for their subs.
