Midtown Grill

Too bad they closed down. I thought the food and service was good. Like watching sporting events there too. Good place.

I am sad that midtown closed. Went to go get my favorite sandwich and there was a note on the door saying thanks for the support.

Friends gave us a gift certificate for house warming so we tried the Midtown Grill on a busy pre-​holiday night (¹²⁄₂₃ — shopping was crazy all over Bonney Lake). Porterhouse chop for her; chicken Parmesan for me. Food was good. I asked for pasta and the marinara sauce was excellent. Chicken was good and the cheese and sauce again were excellent. We also had mozzarella sticks for hors d’oeuvres. Again good, prepared hot with good sauces. (ranch and marinara). Side salads were Caesar — huge, cold with tasty dressing.
Restaurant was not busy. Service was excellent. Fast and accurate. Hors d’oeuvres then salad served quickly and in time as well as the main course.
We saw references to movie night and were curious about the mini theater and separate rooms for private parties and asked and were given a guided tour. They have some very good deals on parties and meeting spaces and they use the theater for Seahawks (and other) football games. All you have to do to use the facilities is buy food and drinks. Spaces are very well equipped with screens and digital projectors, etc. Theater looks very functional. Discussion of the facilities may be a little off topic, but they have a nice set of facilities for meetings which we have not seen too much of locally and since we sometimes host meetings the Midtown may work well for this purpose.
We were impressed with the service (overall excellent) and the food was good to excellent. Given the service and food we will try the more casual part of the menu (burgers and sandwiches) on another trip. Recommended.

Nice spot for meal, drinking or to watch a game.

I couldn’t tell you how it is because everytime I go they are closed, today we came in at 12:30 they are suppose to close at 2 but closed early.
We won’t be coming back. Very unreliable

Crappy service!!! Tried this place three times. Each time We had to walk up to the bar… Wait for all THREE OR FOUR of the servers/​bartenders to finish their personal conversation and then get served. Pathetic and sad. It’s called the service industry for a reason. Still tried it three times in hopes that it was a bad day for someone. It wasn’t! They just have horrible service… Customer does NOT come first, coworkers personal issues do apparently! And there was no acknowledgment of the fact that I stood for a few minutes and listened to their conversation. Just BAD!
The band on Thursdays is awesome and lots of fun!
So if u just want to listen to music and not drink or eat, this is a good place. Lol

I was looking forward to a tasty meal with my family at a new restaurant tonight. After reading reviews on Unilocal and an article in the News Tribune, I was sure this was the right place! Especially since it was kid-​friendly! Sadly, the night did not turn out the way I had hoped. Our orders were taken promptly enough, but kids coloring page menus with no crayons quickly became a sore subject. Especially after being told she might find them. After a long wait for our dinners, (got there at approximately 6:45pm and served approximately 7:35pm) the waitress brought our requested steak sauce and left.
One positive review I had read mentioned the Caesar salad, so I got that with a loaded baked potato. To my disappointment the salad was bland and the potato was old. My youngest children each had the kids steak with baked potato. Their steaks were just fine (nice portions) but again, old yellowish brown potatoes. My eldest had steak salad and her steak was undercooked. She did her best, but couldn’t finish it. My husband ordered the Philly sandwich and did enjoy it, but was still hungry as the size of the sandwich wasn’t quite enough.
The waitress did not check in with us after delivering our meals so I could not discuss the dissatisfaction, and when she finally did come by it was not a stop, just an“everything still ok?” as she briskly passed our table, leaving little opportunity to respond. She was a pleasant enough server, but possibly not putting her best foot forward or not enough staff to cover the evening???
With the check came my opportunity to share with her my experience. I asked her to please share with the management and cooks so this would be something they could prevent from happening in the future. I also asked that she remove the baked potato from my bill and take into consideration the undercooked steak as well. She handled herself gracefully, apologized, and discounted our ticket. I was surprised that a manager hadn’t stopped by but nonetheless, was ready for the night to be over.
I’m willing to try again because everyone deserves a second chance, but next time my kids will be bringing their own crayons!

If you like small portions and tiny booths, come on in! I’m a pretty short and even I had a hard time sitting in those booths. Obviously intended for only one despite what it may seem. Also booth back to table was pretty tight, if I were a circumferencly challenged individual there is no way. The Cuban sandwich I had… lets just say if I were the waiter and I put that down in front of a customer I would be embarrassed. 14 dollars for two tiny three bite halves and a little bowl of onion soup… at least it tasted OK otherwise I would have knocked a star off. Another person with us had the pork chop… uninspired lump of meat on the plate. If you go to a restaurant and pay those prices you expect more than you can do walking over to the store across the way and throwing some meat on the stove at home. The other two of us thought the food was alright, and that will save the rating a bit here, the chicken alfredo looked good and was OK.

I cant even give a fair review of their food because their service was just so horrible. My boyfriend picked this place so we would branch outside our normal date night places. We walked in and were sat near the back, the place was not that busy. We waited and waited for someone just to acknowledge our presence, which after three servers passing by you’d think would happen– but it did not. We gave them a benefit of the doubt and picked out drinks and entrees and continued to wait for a server. After ten minutes we got up and left! I never had an experience like it! Doubt we will ever go back. Go to Sumalees thai across the parking lot. They always deliver and are the best thai food (and service) in the area!

Literally the worst service I’ve ever had and I didn’t think our recent trip to BJ’s could be topped. What’s with waitresses’ disappearing and never checking back? Especially a 12 guest table. After our waitress took our appetizer order and food order we didn’t see her for 30 minutes, we had to ask where our appetizer was, she told us one was late because we ordered them at different times which wasn’t true. Then later she told us the chef burnt one of them, still no apology, and it came out after we got our meal. We had to ask for our drinks to be filled by another waitress because ours was MIA. We had to ask for our plates to be cleared, appetizer and main meal when our dessert was finally served which we had to ask another waitress why it was taking so long. Especially since desserts are pre-​prepared let’s not kid ourselves here, I will never go back. The food is mediocre at best, I hear their steaks are good but I wouldn’t spend money on a steak with the service I’ve had and the mediocre food I’ve already had. I don’t want to throw my money away. We literally had someone get up and find someone to help us. You’re restaurant needs to train better or fire employees. We were there for 1hr and 40 min… Maybe the other guests were there longer but we couldn’t wait anymore.

Just had my co-​ed baby shower here!!! SOOOOOO much fun. They gave us a large room which was light and clean. We didn’t fill the room with the amount of people we had but the service made it fun and we felt taken care of the entire time. Our guests devoured the food so the quality was there.
I will definitely hold more events here!

My husband and I have been here quite a few time. Although the food is okay the service was terrible. A waitress that wasn’t in our section finally came over to help us after we waited for 10 mins to get notice. The place is nice and used to be way better but seems to be going down hill. We won’t be returning.

Enjoy MidTown every time we go in. I’ve become a salmon skewer fan and last night discovered the pear and celery salad. Great pairing. And healthy serving. So I got to have it two nights in a row. Staff always friendly. Last night our server went out of his way to make my friends birthday just a little more special.

Love the Midtown. Always a mandatory stop after completing the errands. Best service in town! Andrew and Nick are awesome.

Fabulous dinner on a Friday night — no wait, service was prompt and pleasant. Had rib eye steak which was delicious and husband had the fresh market of the day fish — a halibut steak — that was prepared fabulously! Everything was perfect! Started out with prawn appetizers — they did half coconut and half bacon wrapped for us — both were amazing! Will come back soon!

My husband and I went there for the first time last week. We really enjoyed it. I loved the bread they brought out. It was Seahawks themed!!! It was perfect. The dinner was good. The cheesy bread was delicious. My husband and I split a chicken wrap and burger. One of us always gets a burger and fries when we go to a new place, because if you can’t make that well then we will not go back. Both were very very good. The burgers are char broiled, which I love I especially want to try their movie dinner. We will be back again. :)

I used to go here quite often but had several bad experiences in a row and pass now. The service has never been the fastest and the last time I had to stop the waitress to get her attention.
The Spinach Artichoke Dip is great. The steaks and burgers have been hit and miss. On our last visit our meals came out slowly and were cold. The plates were sloppily put together. Not what you would expect for the price.
If offered potato chip nachos — RUN FAR and FAST. Dessert choices have been good but prices were a bit high for the portion and options.
I am holding out hope they will get things back on track. I will give them a try after the first of the year as they do offer a nice place to meet with friends.

I hadn’t been to Midtown in a while but decided to have my birthday get together there… I didn’t call ahead for our group of 14 but just figured I would get there early. Problem was 2 other large groups were smart enough to call ahead. That being said our awesome waitress got with her manager and within 20 mins we had a reserved section for the whole group.
The service was fast & friendly… food was great!

Great place but they need to season their steaks.

My husband and went there for the first time last night and were pleasantly surprised! It looks like a little ‘ol sports bar from the outside but the atmosphere is actually quite nice inside. I expected a typical bar menu with deep fried everything (which I would have been fine with) but the menu is quite extensive and has a variety of yummy goodness. The food is prepared nicely, not «short order cook» style. My hubs got the chicken wrap and I got the honey teriyaki chicken. Both were sooo good. I got the Passion Pound drink – it was very good and very sweet (I like super sweet anything), and my husband got his favorite beer, Irish Death. We sat at the bar and the bartender was great and attentive. The whole team was great. You can tell they work well together and help each other out.
I definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for great food, great drinks, great service and a great atmosphere.
