Breakfast hot and delicious. Just enough for my hubby and I who do not eat much.

I don’t know what’s with all the bad reviews. A friend and I went there, on a Friday, January 1st, 2016 around 2pm. The place was packed, so we knew it was the local place to be! I ordered The Southern Biscuits with gravy, and my friend ordered one of their burgers which came with fries. Our food was great, you most definitely got your money’s worth… Now I know why they call it Hungry Dawgs… You better go hungry, because it’s a lot of food! We thought the food was delicious. Sure, the food could have come out a bit quicker, however, I know that the quality would suffer, and I’m telling you, the food was great. Our waitress was awesome, very funny, quick, and witty, she sure made us feel at home! The place was super easy to find, and it’s kind of in the style of that old 50’s ice cream shop diner type look, which we loved! I will definitely be back to have many more meals here, plus it’s nice to have found my local diner!

First time here… we are breakfast snobs so took a lot to get us to try something new. My husband had the Chicken Fried Steak and I ordered Eggs Benedict and upgraded to the 8 oz ham steak(which ended up being way too much!). It was hot, fresh and flavorful! Service was over the top friendly. This just may be our new favorite place to eat!

Absolutely the worst eggs Benedict I have ever eaten. The hollandaise sauce had no flavor at all.

I have eaten here a few times before but have not done a review. This time I had the scramble with sausage, bacon and ham. The eggs were a little tough, as though they had either been microwaved or baked in the little boat that they were in. The fillings were great. The hash browns were wonderful: crispy on the outside and moist and fluffy on the inside. My waitress was Audrey. She was pretty much all business and handled everything very well. It helps that she is gorgeous I. think the bussers name was Jared and he was great. He took empty plates away immediately and offered refills often. I’ll be back again.

Apparently this place used to be Mad Dog’s Café, but has been renamed Hungry Dog Café after some dispute over trade names, but no matter. We have been going there for a couple of months now, mostly for breakfast but the past two times I Had their Jet City Philly Cheese Steak Au jus with fries(you have the option of tots and a couple of other things). Anyway, the service has always been very fast and friendly and the food has been outstanding. They grill their hash browns so they are crisp on the outside and hot and moist on the inside. Partner usually has eggs Benedict, and loves it. Today she had scrambled eggs with delicious bacon and hot cakes, all of which were excellent. They have always gotten the order exactly correct. If you are looking for a great place for American Diner fare on the way up 410 to the pass or where ever, this is worth a stop. Located in the strip mall next to Safeway. Strongly recommend, and actually surprised that it wasn’t listed in Unilocal yet.

My son and daughter took me to Hungry Dawgs for a delightful breakfast. The atmosphere was friendly and the service was great! My breakfast was unbelievable. Two huge best I have ever eaten pancakes and a large slice of country ham. Even though my choice was not listed on the menu the sweet waitress made it work. I highly recommend you stop in for a hot and large breakfast. Go really hungry because the servings are huge!!!

This is one of our favorite breakfast places in Bonney Lake. Someone commented that the portions aren’t big, well let me tell you I hardly can eat all the food that they bring. The staff is busy but attentive as this is a popular place to eat. The prices match the portions, and we are happy to pay a little more to leave stuffed. For people that want less you can ask for a half size. It’s not hard to ask. The golden two two is a favorite of mine, as well as the southern breakfast. The pancakes are to die for as well. If you’re looking to have breakfast and leave with one button undone on your pants this is the place to go!

Came here with my gramma while she was visiting. She loves diners and we are starving so we popped in. I got just a simple breakfast of waffle, sausage, English muffin, and 2 fried eggs. The waffle, was delicious, my eggs were cooked perfect but it tasted like they were cooked with coconut oil. I appreciate all the benefits coconut oil has but for some reason I can’t stand my eggs cooked in it, so I was disappointed I couldn’t finish my eggs. My gramma has the steak and egg breakfast and was very happy.

The food was mediocre, service was short/brief– nothing special about this experience but we didn’t have any issues. Other reviews are right, there are lots of «extras» that they could charge you for. The coffee says 1 refill but they kept refilling ours. At 2.25 $ ish a cup, I would expect a decent amount of normal brewed coffee/and they are smallish mugs. Table could use some attention, creamer display had a variety of flavors but I had to ask for plain milk to be brought over. Price is okay, not great. I don’t think we’ll be back but it was a decent breakfast, just a tad spendy. Portions are not huge, they are normal sized.

Food is ok but our service was not good. They acted put out that they had customers to serve. I understand being busy is stressful. There’s an opportunity to recognize those paying customers keep your business open. Not a good look.

The diner was great but could have been better only do my server. The food, drinks, and others were perfect. My service needs was unrecognized I was never offered a refill whereas the family behind me got the full treatment. Server was stuck up and got the vibe that my fiancée and I should not be here. Will continue to eat there just needs better customer service

Cute dog décor, locally owned. Always fast service, friendly staff that takes a moment to talk. Food is served hot, decent sized plates, not too much & good taste!

Not impressed by the food for the price tag and they don’t take Amex and let’s not get into the percentages are business takes it and sees no profit loss per month Amex supports small businesses. $ 13 omelette I’m not impressed

I’ve been wanting to try this diner for months! It’s clean, cute and has an extensive menu. I ordered the«Traveler» and only had the eggs scrambled with ham, bacon, cheese and mushrooms. It’s served on top of home style potatoes in a boat. They charged 12.99 for this and 2.39 for coffee. Our waitress was great! In my opinion the scramble was $ 4.00 over priced and $ 2.39 for a cup of regular coffee($ 1.00 overpriced). The food was average and overpriced. Will I go back? Probably not. Susan A.

Have been eating there for years. This place is my guilty pleasure when it comes to breakfast. They remember your name, face and what you normally order. That is what I call customer service! It is not on the menu, but you must try the Reuben omelet. Omg.

We enjoy stopping in at this little, local diner. The staff is always friendly and the food is simple and tasty. Lots of things to choose from. The grilled cheese with three kinds of cheese on thick egg bread is yummy. Also, tater tots as a side always make me happy. The omelettes are huge and served all day. Nothing fancy. It’s a diner. :)

This place is a cute little diner, but there was just something that didn’t fit with our family vibe the day we went. They were busy while we were there, but we were having to flag for stuff and our orders came out a little differently than how we expected them. My husband ordered a sausage omelet of some sort and the sausage was lumped into one 2-bite-worth spot of the omelet. My order was supposed to come with scrambled eggs per the menu but instead had sunny side up eggs delivered. My son’s order was okay, but not anything notable. I am willing to give them another try, but it will be a little bit. If I could give a 2.5 I would. The one note I have is just because the check is on the table, that doesn’t mean I don’t want or need anything else. Please come check on me until I leave as not everyone at my table finishes their meal at the same time.

I had the New York Steak and egg with an English muffin and a good ol cup of joe. The steak was a bit dry for my Med well I ordered but it was quite tasty. The over medium eggs were absolutely delicious with a buttery taste to it. Hashbrowns were very good. Nice homestyle taste. The English muffin was plump and the way it should taste. Coffee was amazing. Nicely brewed. I give the food a 9. Now, i gave this place a 3 because of tbe service. We were seated and treated as whatever customers while other regulars came in and were instantly given much better customer service. Being that it was our first time there you would want to treat new ones amazingly so they go back and tell others to go. Not the case for me. Great food just would have loved to be treated as if I was really appreciated. There was one time a gentleman which could have been the owner was very nice and attentive. If he would have been the server my experience would have been stupendous.
