This locating feels a lot smaller then the Redmond location and I still find myself frustrated since they do not offer the same sales and coupons as their competitors. But in the long run they do have a few things that the other stores don’t carry and I love finding a new craft to indulge in!

I have been here several times and always question myself on why I stopped here. They do have a great variety of things. Although they are over priced for many things. Also I always feel like I’m a bother to the associates when I ask a question. On January 25th I stopped in to get ideas for my Mother in Law and Sister in Laws birthday gifts. I saw some ideas on Pinterest that I wanted to ask about what materials I would need. I walked around then went to the bead area which is what my project was going to consist of. There were two lady’s unloading box’s and talking about stuff so I asked for help. I got no response from them. So I walked around again then went to the table that they were at and I asked if I could get some help. Both ignored me as if I wasn’t there. I am not a soft spoken person so after I walked around the bead area for 45min and ignored twice I left. I gave them the amount of stars for there product variety definitely not for the customer service. If I ever go back I have a feeling that it will still be the same out come.

I really enjoy this store and will bypass my local Joann’s(Southcenter) to go to Bonney Lake instead for craft supplies. If you’ve succumbed to the coloring craze(I have) then this is a FABULOUS place to go — they are clearly going«all in» themselves and are expanding their supplies for coloring fans. They JUST added open stock for ALL colors of Faber-Castell Polychromos pencils which I can’t even get at the Dick Blick store(online yes, store, no). I like being able to look at the colors and growing my collection. They also have open stock for Prismacolors and some pens. Plus… a really good selection of coloring books(some that I haven’t seen elsewhere in person). I’ve never personally had any serious problems with customer service, although on my last trip, one of the buyers seemed a little bent out of shape when I was explaining something to another customer(a man trying to buy a gift for his fiancé who likes to color). Most of the staff has been very helpful and there is nothing to keep me from coming back. I *am* aware of prices while shopping at Ben Franklin — unfortunately there are some things where Ben Franklin is just unable to compete with Amazon on pricing(and when the difference is a 30, 40, 50% or more difference, I really can’t rationalize spending that much more to support a local business). I’ve always enjoyed the seasonal decorating items in this store but the selection seems to be a bit less than several years ago. However, they have some nice displays and great ideas to spruce up seasonal decorating at home. I personally enjoy making a bit of a trip South to visit this craft store over others. I can make a day trip out of moseying through Sumner’s historic downtown with a trip up the hill to Bonney Lake and Ben Franklin and a great coffee next door at Ben’s Espress and/or lunch(or a late breakfast) at Hungry Dawg’s diner in the same shopping center.

The fabric selection and service here is un-matched. They were out of one item I needed but that’s okay. Very heppy with all of my purchases and our service here.

Quite possibly one of the rudest bunch of retail sales staff I ever encountered in my life. I don’t know if it’s because they hate their jobs and would rather be elsewhere, or if they give preferential treatment to people who ‘look crafty’, because I saw the girl at the front counter actually be nice and helpful to the customer she was ringing out. I just had a basic question about where to find something, and was shoved off to go talk to someone in beads, who was a little bit helpful, but also a little bit on the rude side. The next time I have the need to go to a craft store, I’ll bite the bullet and drive to Puyallup to the Joann Fabrics and Crafts. This is like the second time now that I’ve gone in there looking for something specific, was looked at funny, and was treated poorly.

Ehhh I like the selection and the crafty displays. Customer service stinks and i always feel like my questions are interrupting their real job of organizing or chatting with other employees. I’ll go back because it’s the only one in Bonney lake, but I won’t make a habit of it. Too bad too, they had the potential to be indispensable to Bonney lake.

Love this store! I’ve been driving past here for years and never been inside. I was dropping stuff off at the goodwill store and came upon here and decided to check it out. I enjoy calligraphy and found that they have a great collection of calligraphy supplies. I’ll definitely be coming back.

Thank you, Adrian T. for your reply. The website now states the policy more clearly. I’m grateful for your responsiveness and professionalism and am adding a couple more stars in this update.

Yeah– it’s a neat store– they have a lot of selection the big box stores don’t have. I used to love to go there and walk around and get inspiration. But after having too many negative experiences with the jewelry department. I was looking for something specific for a fellow jewelry designer friend, thought I’d give their store a shot since it was local. I made the mistake of asking the lady in the department she knew if they had it… she just went off on me with a tangent about how if I found a tutorial on Pinterest– I needed to buy the supplies from whoever sold the tutorial, blah blah blah. I was gobsmacked and speechless. It wasn’t even an odd item. I just thought since she probably stocked the department, she would be able to tell me yes or no… or possibly– in this area… etc. I was very turned off by this experience and have rarely gone back. Plus everyone reeks of cigarette smoke. I always feel like I’m bothering the people in the jewelry department if I have a question or actually decide to take them up on their offer«to help find something». Their customer service experience is very passive aggressive. I found that Artco in Tacoma pretty much has the same stuff and they aren’t a bunch of snooty overworked hags. I try to choose the local stores over the big box craft stores, especially since BF is local to me. It’s been almost a year since I’ve gone with any regularity. They are overpriced, it’s one thing, but their employees don’t make me want to pay the premium price for the experience to shop there.

WORSTSTOREINBONNEYLAKE. We left our car in there lot for 9 hrs to travel together in one car andd they towed it. Called and spoke with owner and he said they tow any cars left in front of there store longer then 8 hours. We had just spent $ 300 in his store on frames and he told us he did not care and that if we did not like the rules do not shop at his store. SOWEWILLNOLONGERSHOPATBENFRANKLINS. SHOPPERSBEWARE.

I feel like I have pretty much grown up with this place. I see the same familiar faces when I go in now as an adult! I LOVE that they offer Scrapbooking Nights. 6 hours to set up and get uninterrupted time to scrapbook, with unlimited resources at your finger tips! Plus you get a discount that night! I love all the cool craft samples they have on each aisle, giving you an idea on projects you can do. I’ve gotten plenty of great gift ideas simply walking in and wandering around!

Now I’m a paper crafter, so let’s keep that in mind… but out of the other locations in Monroe and Redmond, Bonney Lake’s gonna have to rank third on my list. They had lots to choose from… just not as top quality as the other two locations. But their frames selection was huge, and the jewelry department seemed to have a larger selection than the other stores. I personally just wouldn’t make the drive out here again.

I LOVE this store, and the staff is so outgoing, helpful, and friendly. It’s like going to Nordstrom’s without the high price tags and the commissioned sales people. lol Seriously, they have in-store deals and they also have a mailing list where you can get special money-off coupons. While their fabric selection isn’t huge, they offer help for $ 12 where you can come in and they will help you with any sewing project. You won’t find that in too many places these days. The staff takes pride in making sure that you have the help you need. In fact, for their Black Friday sale, I was able to score four yards of quilt batting for 40% off. That was worth the trip in itself. They have something for everybody. I think it would be a challenge to enter that store and not leave with at least two items. In fact, I might go as far as to say that they rival Hobby Lobby… just smaller in size.

Nice little craft store. Items range either a good deal or on the higher end than a chain craft store. I like supporting a local business though.

This place does 6pm to midnight scraps every month. You get the whole store to yourself with x number of other scrappers and generally an entire table to yourself to spread your stuff out and get some serious scrap booking done! BONUS: you get a percentage(i think 10%) off all scrapbook stuff you buy while there. The scrapbook section is a corncopia of papers, brads, patches, lables, tags and other great things complete with diecutter and large selectionof dies. The store itself? its pretty good, your usual big box craft store… so a lot of stupid stuff among the awesome finds. If you don’t mind searching for a while to find what your looking for this is a good place… Like I said 6 hours of pure scrapbooking at a reasonable price with no kids, phone calls, or work to bug you? Cool!
