I’ve been going to Dr. Drake for the last two years since moving back to Kansas City and feel he does a great job. I grind my teeth at night and so he fitted me with a night guard. Also had problems with permanent upper retainer from my orthodontist in Nashville that Dr. Drake was able to fix immediately for me. He’s gentle and respectful at filling time; making sure that there isn’t any pain associated with the process.

I had been going to Dr. Drake for years. Recently something happened with the office staff, and they were all replaced. New ppl were rude to my wife. Staff had problems with my stepdaughter’s insurance. They would not call her dad or insurance company to get everything taken care of. My wife had to take care of everything. «NOT MY WIFE’S JOB!» Dr. Drake had her fitted for a jaw expander. Never got any calls that they had them in. My son was scheduled for a cleaning, so my wife took him to his appointment. While she was there she asked about it and they said the kaw expander had been there for a while and they tried contacting both of us… false! They said while she’s here we will put it in. So, they tryed but it didn’t fit because it sat in there closet for a couple of months. My stepdaughter was in a tremendous amount of mouth pain for the next 2 days! My wife took her back in and they took them out because her teeth had shifted since the initial fitting. The spacers should have never been put in her mouth. A week later I had a dental emergency. My front tooth had fell out AGAIN! Dr. Drake had fixed this twice before. I call him on his after hours line. His wife answers the phone. I tell her my story and she said its impossible for him to come to the phone because he is cutting the grass, and he wouldn’t drive 27 miles back to his office to fix my tooth. I say, have him call me. So he calls me back 30 minutes later and says «go to a drug store and get fixadent. This was a friday at 2:30pm memorial day weekend. He says call the office tuesday morning. Why would he have a after hours emergency number??? This place has went down hill! I wouldn’t recommend to anyone!

I had been to a couple other dentist who wanted to crown several of my teeth due to older fillings. Dr. Drake explained to me that I did have some small cracks in but really all I needed were a couple new fillings. He was so fast and no pain at all, I was amazed and VERY happy with my first experience with him and his office.

I have been going to Dr. Drake for the past year. Our previous dentist closed his office and I had looked for a while to find someone new. My son had a dental problem and really liked Dr. Drake. I am a total wimp about feeling anything — pain — and he makes sure that never happens. Appt. times are kept and everything runs very smoothly in the office.
