Truly wonderful B&B! The house is amazing, rooms and common are so we’ll appointed and Judy is a lovely hostess. Breakfast room features 10 ft high Windows’s to enjoy the sun and view. Really recommend a stay here if you’re visiting this area!

I second Richard’s comment below. My fiancée and I stayed here for 2 nights, when all of Lawrence’s hotels were booked for graduation weekend. We were so impressed! It is only our second bed and breakfast experience, and I think we have been spoiled! Judy, as stated previously is the model of a good host. Discrete and conscientious, every detail is attended to; coming down to breakfast in the morning, coffee was brewed and waiting, with music lightly playing, creating a lovely ambiance while our breakfast was being cooked in the kitchen. The room was lovely… and she even upgraded us for FREE! We got to sleep in the big room, with the most comfortable bed. The home and grounds are lovely. There is a gorgeous wrap-around porch where my fiancée and I spend several hours sitting and chatting. The landscaping and flowers are picturesque, and a pond with chairs is a 30-second walk from the front steps. Additionally, Judy was full of suggestions for things to see in Kansas City, as it was our first time venturing that way. Come visit if you get the opportunity!

Back In Thyme is simply amazing. My wife and I have stayed in many bed and breakfasts and we both would rate this at the very top of our list. As they say on their web site, it is a «new» old Victorian. Every little corner is so perfectly appointed; there is something beautiful to see where ever you look, both inside the house and outside too. The rooms are inviting, the common areas are welcoming — just all of it was top notch. And it is so well located to Kansas City, Lawrence and the Legends. I thought the rates were extremely reasonable. Especially since we were served hors d’oeuvres and wine on Friday night. And, since it was rainy, it was so nice to be able to stay in and mingle with other guests or adjourn to another room. That’s one thing I liked, we could be with others, or alone and were perfectly comfortable. The hostess Judy is so accommodating. She is the epitome of a good hostess. She is there when you need her with a bright smile, a good suggestion, a funny story, directions, a little something to taste. But never intrusive. And breakfast — don’t get me started. It was delicious. Seriously, you will love this place. I would not even consider staying anywhere else. We plan on going back when the weather is better and walking around the beautiful grounds.
