I love to get the steak burritos from here! I think they are much better than from El Burrito Loco. The steak is never chewy. My fiancé also loves their pastor. Their prices are very reasonable! The place is not super big, but there is plenty of room to sit down and eat if you want. Edit: I’m lowering my rating to 4 stars because this business always closes early randomly. It sucks when you want a burrito at 8 pm and have to go somewhere else.

Not sure if it’s under new management but this place just went downhill. Went in for breakfast today and as soon as we walked in everything looked dirty… We decided to stay because we couldn’t find anywhere else to eat chilaquiles. Our burnt tortilla chips were the second red flag, however, we decided to stay and try our food. Our plates came out and we noticed the tortillas in our chilaquiles were just as bad as the chips. We literally took 2 bites and decided we’d rather let $ 20 go to waste than to keep eating the food. The guy at the front noticed and did offer a replacement for the food instead of a refund but seeing as to how bad one meal was I was hesitant to try something else there. As a restaurant manager myself I could tell that the problem was the oil they were using to fry tortilla chips was probably old, hopefully they fix their restaurant soon. It’d be such a shame to see what was once a decent place to eat completely fail.

First off, it’s a whole in the wall. So I knew the food is going to be awesome. I ordered the skirt steak taco and my boyfriend ordered a steak burrito. Prices were so reasonable. Everything was delicious, their salsa is spicy and so good. You can tell it was homemade. Staff was very friendly. I would definitely be back. It’s not easy finding good and authentic Mexican food.

No longer called Panaderia Coral. Because they no longer sell pan de dulce. They are now called Taqueria Coral. Head on over to Gigante Bakery in Bolingbrook for you pan de dulce fix.

Wondering if I hit an of day… Went based on Unilocalers. 3 ppl seated with food. 2:00 afternoon on a Friday. Typical bakery. But good if you are used to not so sweet goodies. I love them. There is nothing to control food dates on bakery. So. Go for it. As far as the foods. Hmm well. The horchetta is full flavored. Not watered down and rich flavor with a lot of cinnamon. The quesadilla. Eww. None of the cheese was melted. I paid $ 2.99 for one tortilla folded with unmelted cheese. Who’s not thrilled? This Girl! I will however give a second try & update the review. Seems clean & nice ppl. $ is acceptable.

Behind a boring façade and signs all en Espanol, is a true hidden gem and tasty panaderia(that’s Spanish for«bakery,» you honky). Empanadas the size of an infant’s head. A large infant’s head. Cookies the size of your face and what I’d call«a small C cup» on the muffins. Don’t forget the slices of cake that are more like slabs. There weren’t any bags in sight, so I asked the lady behind the counter. Don’t be fooled by the older Mexican lady appearance, she spoke sparkling English. She handed me a tray and tongs so I could choose my pastries. The signs weren’t in English, but I knew what an «empanada» was well enough to purchase 3(one was filled with what I think was orange marmalade). I also picked out a muffin-y looking dessert. The sign read«blueberry,» but I think it was in the wrong spot. I devoured this one before I got home: it was shaped like a muffin, with a cheesecake layer on top and what tasted like a corn bread on the bottom layer. I could’ve split this muffin with someone, but I didn’t want to! If you aren’t familiar with Mexican pastries, they are not super sweet and sugary. The empanada I tried had a very mellow orange flavor and the dough had a coffee-cake like texture. Most pastries are on the dry side and again, not super sweet. For 4 pastries(3 empanadas and a cheesecake corn muffin thing), I paid $ 3.81. This place is the real deal. I definitely didn’t expect to find something like this in the suburbs. I thought I’d have to drive out to Humboldt Park for a flipping churro. They also serve Mexican food here; there were 2 – 3 couples in here. I got a side-glance from one guy that clearly said, «is this white girl lost?» Panaderia Coral is on the north side of Boughton Road at the intersection of Schmidt. There isn’t much else in the shopping center; there’s a Middle Eastern grocery store and not much else.

Bakery/taqueria in a stripmall across the street from a Family Video and next to a funeral home. Counter in back with large menu above and pastries on the left in openable glass doors for self service. Was more here for the cooked food than anything else. $ 20 got me a chicken torta, steak burrito, 2 al pastor tacos, and flan to go. Chicken torta was outstanding! Sandwich had avocado, lettuce, tomato, and refried beans. Never encountered big chunks of grilled chicken in a torta before. Steak burrito had a seasoned-sour cream goodness to it. Tacos were ok, were packed with a lot of big pieces of meat and onions, but the al pastor didn’t have much flavor. Same with the flan, aside from the honey on the bottom, as there was no flavor at all. Burritos and tortas are a must try! The flan, not so much.

Our family stopped in for a quick snack here on Mother’s Day. Menu is in Spanish with English translations. Order at the counter and the cook brings you the food. I wish I had seen the quesadillas before I ordered. Next time I’m going back to try the squash blossom quesadillas — not something you typically see at any average taqueria. The steak torta was big and yummy, chorizo tacos and al pastor tacos both excellent. The guacamole was fresh and delish. Free chips and salsa and the cook brought us an extra yummy green salsa with chunks of avocado. The baked goods also looked yummy. We brought home some flan(since were were already full!) and it was super excellent. I highly recommend for an authentic, but not fancy, Mexican food experience. We muddled through with our limited Spanish skills just fine, though we’re going to study up on the pastry names before we go next time!

This little gem is straight out of Nogales or Sonoita or some such border town, as evidenced by the stacks and stacks of day old pastries, the retro looking menu board, the blaring Telemundo, and the obvious language barrier. What am I talking about? Chicago has a huge population of persons of Mexican heritage. So maybe it’s straight out of Chicago. Welcome to Bolingbrook! Anyway, I’m just now recovering from the rapture that the pastor tacos induced. Perfectly seasoned pork, fresher than fresh onions and cilantro, and fantastic hot sauce. I could have eaten maybe… 10 of them. Sloth is OK, but I will not be ascribed gluttony, so I quit at 2. I will be back many, many times.

This review is hard. If your just looking for baked goods, I would rate this place 4 stars. They have a ton of cookies, breads, and cakes that look great. If your rating it on food alone, this place just does not stack up. With so many Hispanic restaurants all over the place, this restaurant does not offer quality food that is fresh, tasty, and enjoyable. I got the feeling immediately, that food is secondary and baking is the primary operation. The 2 times that I have ordered food from this place(I gave them 2 chances) the food was tasteless, the tortillas were not cooked fully, and the cilantro and onions were stale. Besides that one time when I ate their, they had a huge community bowl of salsa that looked like it has been sitting their for hours. Overall, I think they added a food menu to supplement income and they were not qualified to do so. Put it this way, if cars were like Hispanic food, this place is a Pontiac to several Cadillacs in the area.

The prices might be great, but the food is not. I wasn’t impressed with the tacos or pastries. The tacos lacked real flavor and the pastries weren’t very sweet. My brownie barely tasted like cocoa at all. Not a fan.

One of the best kept secrets in Bolingbrook… If you are looking for good authentic Mexican food this is the place… It’s also one of the cleanest and best panaderias I have been too… The owner is such a great guy and his cooks and employees are very nice… * you do not have to be Hispanic or know spanish to buy from here* — don’t be alarmed when you see Telemundo on and you can’t understand a word! This bakery is amazing and their pastries are to die for! Last time I was there I bought flan, 3 muffins, 2 pastries, and bread… I spent $ 6 !!! how can you beat that, and it’s fresh! :)

I found my own personal heaven this weekend. It’s called Panaderia Coral. I got 6HUGE ass pastries for $ 3.27. Seriously, I just about pooped in my pants when she told me the price… or maybe because I ate way too much spicy sauce. Dessert just got even sweeter. In addition to my pastry splurge I got 2 avocado tacos and and a veggie burrito. Both were D-lish but the tacos rocked my world. My BF got an egg taco and some other meat junk and the egg taco looked like the perfect cure to a hangover. A meal for 2 with left-overs was $ 11 and it was all dayum good. I’m sooo going back everyday. The only thing I was a little iffy on was that there’s not an English translation for everything so I really only knew what 8 things on the menu were but maybe this will be my motivation to learn more Spanish food words… even though just knowing Jamon and Salchicha has gotten me pretty far up to this point.

The girls at work stumbled upon this place. Seeing the name you think it is a bakery but nope the also serve food. Very simple, nothing exciting here. 1 gal taking orders and serving and 1 cook. You can eat in or take out. Once you walk in you are greeted by the fresh smells of all the bakeries. Fresh breads, cookies, cakes yummy indeed. If you want any of these items you just grab a metal tray and some tongs and pick out what you want. The make special cakes also. As for the food. The girls said the steak tacos are the best. I went for a steak taco and steak torta. Yes they were correct. Steak is very good. the tacos are small, so for those with big appetites you will need a few. The torta was huge, kind of like a sub sandwich. ! other had a burrito and no complaints. Prices and service are not bad. This is a nice find.
