The food was very decent but the service was way below par plus all of their high chairs were broken.

This is one of the better Chinese restaurants, the food is always fresh and the service is good, ive tried many thing here, i like the Shrimp in Garlic sauce, or the Kung Pao Chicken, all the egg foo youngs are very good, they have many appetizers, I like the Shrimp Cantonese, and the steamed pot stickers with the ginger plum sauce, the egg rolls are a good size and have lots of flavor, eating in is nice, the place is clean and the atmosphere is relaxing, orders to go are usually ready in 15 to 20 minutes, i would say give them a try.

Can’t comment on quality of food. Ordered take out and they told me 30 mins. Got there about 5 mins early and paid. I waiting another 40 minutes. Another couple had same issue but was already more than 1 hour waiting and it appeared they had no clue where their order was they got a refund and left w/o their order. After it appeared they had no clue where my order was either I got a refund also and just left. The lost about $ 80 in business between our orders. This was my first try at this place and needless to say will be my last.

Called in a order at 4:45pm. Guy on phone said«15 – 20 minutes.» We got there at 5:10pm. Went to counter paid for our order, guy says«just a few more minutes» …waited, waited many people have come and gone. Another 45 minutes had passed. Walked back up to the counter. No one knew anything about my order or where it was. I asked for a refund. She says«give me 10 minutes». I said«no». There was another gentleman there in the same situation as us. My order was about $ 40.00, I’m sure his was close. So, they lost about $ 80.00 in business, I guess they don’t care about customer service?!? Needless to say I won’t be back here again!!! Went to Portillo’s, order was ready in 10 minutes! Spent about the same amount. And tasted great!!!

This place is delicious. The staff was polite and I was impressed by the cleanliness of the restaurant. I ordered egg rolls and rice and they both were delicious. When I return in the near future I would definitely like to try the beef and broccoli

I’ve been coming to Golden Chopsticks for MANY years now, even when they were at their old location. I went last night to pick up my order to realize they have raised the price of my favorite item, the Mongolian Beef. It was $ 2 increase, and when I asked I was told because the cost of beef went up and they rather increase the price instead of giving a lesser serving. Well when I got home I was extremely disappointed to see a much smaller serving that I had now paid $ 12 for. It was even less than the average lunch special serving. Also over the past year they have become very inconsistent with the quality of the Mongolian beef. Sometimes it tastes like old expired meat, sometimes it isnt spicy, sometimes the meat is very mushy, it seems to be going downhill lately and I may have to look for another restaurant to frequent.

Only sit-down Chinese place that I know of in this area. Traditional décor, fairly quiet. Good service. Has not disappointed yet. Food not outstanding but was good and hot and fairly quick, with a fair price. Would recommend if looking for a place to have Chinese in a nice sit down place.

Ordered the Mongolian beef lunch special which included a cup of egg drop soup, fried rice and an egg roll I’m glad I did not say be sure it’s spicy because this item had the spicy pepper symbol next to it. Many Chinese restaurants don’t have really spicy meals despite saying it is spicy but this is spicy enough with good«heat.» For $ 7.75 plus tax it was more than most lunch specials at a Chinese restaurant but it is worth it. I will return and try more items.

We’ve ordered twice from here now and it’s becoming our go to Chinese place. First time we ordered some standards(sweet and sour, fried rice, egg rolls, chicken soup and lo mein) and it was all good. Last night we ordered for some company we had over. Fish fillet and eggplant was the biggest hit– even the toddler ate it. War mein noodles with chicken was excellent– very mild for someone with some tummy troubles. Pot stickers were sticky and tasty. Chicken and pea pods were on par. Ordered some chicken soup to take for lunch today. We will be ordering again soon– only suggestion is that more rice is needed for the«small» orders when ordering out.

I’ve lived in Bolingbrook for 3 years now. We always got delivery from here. So far, I’ve been called my spouses exs name, by the wait staff. I find it very rude, especially when I’ve corrected and introduced my correct name to this establishment. I don’t care how good the food is, I won’t be spending my money in this restaurant. Very very rude.

Woohoo! As good as it gets! Yes, I would certainly agree! This business has got to be doing something right to be in business for over 30 years. In my opinion, the food is always excellent time and time again. In case you are wondering, some of my favorites are The Mongolian Beef, Beef Fried Rice, Salt & Pepper Fish, Crab Rangoon, Beef Egg Foo Young, Beef & Broccoli, and of course their Mai Tais are great too.

Found this place close to our hotel. Nice décor and music. Server was super friendly and attentive. Had a good Mai Tai but I understand that the Zombie is their specialty but I wasn’t brave enough. Had some nice Crab Rangoons, I had shrimp w/lobster sauce, hubby had the house special lo mein. Super generous portions and the food was well prepared. We basically waddled out of there with leftovers in tow. We would return if we are back in town.

I just finished eating my dinner I had to heat up in the microwave because it arrived cold 2 hours and 10 minutes after I placed the order. It wasn’t even the right food. The delivery guy said he was sent out with 7 orders at once. I was told it would be here in an hour. The receipt shows it wasn’t even entered into the computer until 30 mins after I called it in. I called to check on it after 90 minutes and was told it would be right here. I live 3 minutes from the restaurant I could have walked there and picked it up had I known they were this badly mismanaged. I tipped the driver because honestly it wasn’t his fault that he works for these people. Trying to talk to him was a dead end anyway. Upon unpacking the food I noticed it was the wrong order. The sweet and sour chicken was right, but they gave me beef and broccoli instead of beef with cashew. Not a huge issue but it adds up. I’ll blame that one on the language barrier. Then they forgot the drinks. I tried calling back and the lady didn’t care one bit. I asked to speak to a manager she said she was the manager. She eventually offered to drive the drink over herself. I asked how long and she replied right then. That was 20 minutes ago. Well she showed up as I was writing this and in the bag were my drinks. I applaud them somewhat for trying to make things better so I’d say giving them 1 star evens things out as you can’t give zero. Just take into account this is a family owned and poorly operated business and you should be fine. Keep expectations low and be glad there are other Chinese food places in Bolingbrook.

Omg. I hadn’t been to golden chopsticks in years. Since like this place was way down the street closer to Boughton Rd. Out and about doing some shopping the boy and I decided to stop in and have lunch. I’m glad I did! The new location looks cool inside. I really liked it. I’m not eating the décor so imma leave that it at that. The menu seemed bigger than last time I remember, but it could just be that it’s been so long I forgot. Anyway I went for Orange beef. Orange chicken is served mostly at all Chinese restaurants. I don’t particularly care for Orange chicken because that’s for basic b*tches. Not very many of them serve Orange beef. It is very good. The beef just tastes better in my opinion. I usually tend to not like a super sweet orange sauce, but with a nice level of heat in it. I usually order things from authentic chinese menu’s vs. the Americanized food, but once I awhile choose to go the domestic route. My Orange beef was awesome. I saw so many other things on the menu I wanted to try, but I will leave that for next time. Golden chopsticks is just as good as I remember. I will have to definitely spend more time here because the Chinese good near where I live Sucks! The egg rolls I didn’t really care for, but nothing against Golden Chopsticks. I don’t particularly care for most egg rolls I come across unless they come from Chi-Tung in Evergreen Park. Golden chopsticks even gave me a wall calendar that I wouldn’t dream of hanging on my wall, but it was an awesome gesture. I gave it to someone who would hang it. I just don’t like putting holes in my walls for stuff like calendars. Besides in 2015 if you don’t have a digital calendar you’re like way behind. What do you have a flip phone?! #AsIf #Clueless #GetWithIt Anyway– catch yall later!

Golden Chopsticks is a great little restaurant in Bolingbrook. Service is fast, the restaurant is clean, and the atmosphere is calming. I didn’t enjoy my meal very much, but that’s only because I’m not very knowledgeable when it comes to Chinese cuisine. I do recommend the egg drop soup! However, you can’t, if you’re like me anyway, understand or communicate with the servers very well.

A nice little restaurant with a relaxing atmosphere and great service. I would love to explore the menus further, but I promise the Kung Pao Shrimp is fantastic!
