To say this is a store full of overpriced junk would be an exaggeration, but not all that big of a stretch. They do have quite a few decent-quality items here, but the prices are higher than I would expect.

I was in the area and super excited to see a Big Lots. A few days ago I saw a piece I wanted to hang on my bathroom wall, but that was in Naperville. Anyway, I walked in, grabbed a cart and headed to the home décor. Unfortunately, that piece wasn’t there. And the selection was noticeably smaller. This was very disappointing. I browsed the toy department — Barbies for $ 10?! I’m definitely coming back here to pick up birthday gifts for kids parties in the future. I’m not a fan of spending a bundle on a toy a kid may or may not like, but that’s probably because I don’t have kids yet so I don’t understand the allure of an action figure that does nothing. Although I left emptyhanded, I left with a reminder of where I can get some decent birthday gifts for kids.

If you know anything about me, you know I love Big Lots. Lots and lots. It’s messy fun filled with a combination of name brand items with some serious weirdness. For instance, Palmolive brand bar soap and/or the T-Pain microphone. I’ll never buy either, but what a shopping experience! In general, this is a great Big Lots location. Not only is the store’s selection up to par, it the savings aren’t enough for you, it’s also near a Goodwill. Treat yo self!

This store had a serta queen matress with a sign that said sale $ 299. It rang up at $ 369 and they refused to honor the price on the sign. The stockman ran back and took down the sign so the manager would not budge.

I never cared for Big Lots until I went to the Bolingbrook store and now I’m a huge fan of it! The Bolingbrook store is extremely clean and well organized and is a pleasure to shop in. I live in Naperville, almost equal distance from the Naperbille, Aurora and Bolingbrook Big Lots stores and it’s no contest– Bolingbrook is by far the best in the area! I’ve gotten food & drinks, furniture, bedding, electronics and home goods there. Theyre home improvement and automotive section is my favorite– lots of great deals! If your a Big Lots doubter, check this store out and it will definitely change your mind! I go there about once or twice a week now!

I love to shop at Big Lots, and I try to stop in at least every other week. The fun thing for me is that you never know what you will find there. Some of the merchandise carries international brands, or brands you never heard of, but there is plenty of brand named merchandise. I refuse to pay big bucks for sun tan lotion, at Big Lots all the brand names were $ 4 each. I got a whole season on DVD of my favorite tv show for $ 7…that was my big find of the week! Cleaning supplies, food(with good expiration dates), kitchenware, seasonal items… and so much more. Of course like any discount store it is a hit or miss. On rare occasionals I walk out without anything, but I have far more hits than misses! Check it out !

I love this store! I’ve never been to a Big Lots but this is quickly becoming my favorite store! You can save a fortune here and it very well organized. This store is like Target but much, much cheaper prices! I buy all my energy drinks here, for .50 cents each! At Jewel they are $ 2.00! They also have numerous grocery items for a fraction of the cost. I buy all my doggy toys and treats here. A bag of dog treats here $ 1.00 when at Petsmart they are $ 4-$ 5 each! They have decorative art, carpets, towels, outdoors stuff, furniture. Not sure on the furniture but I’m sure for the price you can just replace it! Very cool store for all your necessity shopping. You can apply for their card and get discounts and such, like Jewel? Come check this out, you’d get addicted!
