Absolutely every time I order from this place I am greeted by rude employees. I’m at the point now where I will go somewhere not so convenient for me to get a summer treat. The only reason this place gets 2 stars is because the ice cream is always good. Who can go wrong with ice cream?

Swung in during«Happy Hour» on the 4th of July for some half price beverages. Understand please that I have a 10+ year background in the service industry– fast food, retail and call center. When I speak, I am concise and clear– and this includes when using a speaker. I also understand that training new people can’t always be done when business is slow. With this in mind– I’m not sure if the young woman attempting to take my order was new, or just not very skilled. My order was simple, one«Route 44» diet cherry limeade, and one«Route 44» cherry chocolate coke. I got silence… a few beats, then«would you please repeat that?» so I did. When the order was read back, she said«cherry coke» and I corrected, no– that was a cherry chocolate coke. The next read back is was three drinks. the limeade, the cherry coke and the cherry chocolate coke. I remained polite, no I’m sorry. only two drinks. the limeade and the cherry chocolate coke. That’s when someone else took over the speaker and finished taking my order. Usually if there is a problem when I’m placing an order, folks are easygoing and we wind up laughing about it. In this case however I would up feeling like I was a burden– which is not the way ANY customer should feel.

I used to love sonic but they keep changing their menu so much they don’t keep anything I like. Also they are adding all these healthier drinks and since then my normal strawberry cherry limeade tastes wrong. Tastes like seltzer water with one or two strawberries. Today was the 3rd time this has happened so I think I will be taking a break from sonic until they can figure out what they are serving.
