Rockie’s is the quintessential American diner experience. Great burgers, shakes and sundaes. Excellent atmosphere. Service is always perfect!

This may not be the experience of a lifetime but it’s still a really great place to go when you want some very affordable grub that is about standard for American food. They have a large menu, even some veggie options, and a relaxed vibe. The last time I was there the music was a little loud but they didn’t have their standard Vietnam vet DJ(who is awesome and keeps the sound at a good volume). We always have friendly service, the only complaint my boyfriend has is that they really skimp on the tater tots when you pay to upgrade.

This placed was fun about 10 – 12 years ago. It looks like they haven’t dusted, mopped, or cleaned anything since then. The place is filthy, and the food is horrible. I’m surprised the health inspector hasn’t shut them down. I would give them zero stars if possible. Eat here at your own risk!

The waitresses uniforms remind me of hooters. These cute little girls skate around in extra small outfits which is just like hooters. The breakfast was okay except the waffle we ordered was horrible we asked for a topping of strawberries expecting some fresh fruit but instead they gave us a waffle with strawberry pastry sauce ghetto were also cold. The girls were going so fast I thought they would crash into people several times. Would not come back.

I will say during a given time this restaurant could/would be very good and a fun atmosphere. The food was very average in my opinion and nothing at all was exceptional. If you are able to go when there is a live DJ it would be more fun then just an older looking diner with average food.

Nice, sweet roller girls. ALL of them! Normal«diner» food … «quick and dirty»(not literally dirty), and sometimes bland, but it IS a diner. The darling girls are probably the reason we go there so often. They care about all their customers, and very kind, thoughtful and helpful, consistency. They make our meal a happy time and we always feel like we matter, which, this day and age doesn’t always occur. Rockie must be a good boss to hire such nice girls and have them stay year after year.

Stopped in tonight for a quick bite. Terrible food! I used to come here some years ago, I’m not sure what happened. My wife and I both got burgers, and they were both those cheap frozen premade patties. Yuck. The waitress was helpful, but the other two guys who were working just kept walking around the resaurant looking at everyone. This place has really gone down hill. We won’t be back.

It’s been a long time since my last visit. Matter of fact, the last time was with my parents who relocated here about 8 years ago. I had a breakfast burrito that was simply larger than life and overall this funky little place was pretty good. I wish that was the case today but sadly it was not. My companions and myself must have traveled to an alternate universe where the food quality and presentation are not very important. The nine dollar salad with its few selections and myriad of chopped iceberg lettuce was way overpriced and tasteless. My other companion had the aloha burger. Clearly the burgers are not made in house and Sherlock Holmes would have quickly deduced that the meat was not fresh as it was drowning in teriyaki and soy sauce to hide its age. The cheese fries can only be classified as a poor excuse of using a microwave. Fries with shredded cheese food microwaved. I have had better cheese fries at my son’s little league game made by volunteer parents. The only positive of our visit was the hand dipped zucchini. It was good but it was not enough to save our experience. The most puzzling aspect of our visit is trying to understand what happened here. I know that times change and personnel come and go but this is simply a downward spiral to the depths of being a Restaurant Impossible candidate. I hope the managers and the owners take a moment to look at their recent reviews and feedback and make a game plan going forward because it appears that the caring and the passion is no longer in the restaurant.

If u want a steak with the consistency of cat food and cold eggs, this is ur place. Service A++ if u want to dine at a Mexican prison. All in all… undecided.

What happened Rockies? We lived next to this place a decade ago, and were regulars. My son wanted to go for his birthday, 6 of us went. The food was so bad no one finished their food. One person sent theirs back but the next plate was so bad we all decided to cut our loses and leave. Really bummed this use to be one of the better places for dinner food. My guess is if they don’t focus on turning around the food quality soon, it will close their doors.

We love this place! We moved out of state for a few years and would always dream of their breakfast and going back. Now that we are back we’ve been a few times. Portions are huge and they’re the best breakfast in town. Plus I love keeping it local and not giving business to a nation food chain!!!

I have been in here several times over the past year. It just keeps getting worse and worse. I was in here this evening and because of that I will probably never eat deep-fried food again. I ordered a burger served on sourdough bread with tater tots. The tots were soaked in grease; I can still taste it, two hours later. The bread was supposed to be toasted. It was not. It was grilled, adding yet another quart of grease to the meal and I am sure my gallbladder is still working overtime. The presentation sucked. It was all just plopped on the plate with the tots rolling-around like marbles on a gymnasium floor … no garnish of any kind … even a piece of iceberg lettuce and a slice-o-tomato would have livened-up the plate. No class. The burger was prefabricated … that is to say … clearly not made on the premises, thin as can be and nearly tasteless. Yes, there are cute waitresses … clearly hired for their gams … rolling around on roller skates. Who cares? I’d rather have a good meal served by a woman in a burka than a bad meal served by a babe on roller skates. However, if you want a little cheesecake with your cheeseburger, this is the place for you. I have given this place many a try. I am done … never to return … there is something tawdry about the whole«scene» in there. It certainly is not ABOUT good food.

Visited this place twice. Both times the food was good and staff was awesome. Nothing jumped out at me to rate it 5 stars

Classic example of a job well done. Fun atmosphere, staff was super helpful but not overbearing, and great simple diner food. While we were eating, a man(I think he may be the busser) was doing his thing and as a older gentleman got up to leave he called him by name and then walked him across the street to the bus stop. Something you don’t see everyday and thought it was really awesome. All staff was AWESOME and knew their stuff. I am not sure about the other reviews. If you are looking for a big menu and extravagant food, don’t go to a diner to eat. Definitely will be back again. Oh yeah and the music is on point.

The kids like this place because the waitresses wear roller skates and the décor includes Harley’s hanging from the ceiling. The food is less than mediocre but the servers are friendly. One thing I won’t abide is non-dairy creamer and other chemical food substitutes served to customers to make a few extra dimes. This place is full of that sort of thing. This was probably my last visit to Rockies.

I love this diner. If you are looking for simple quick diner food(cheeseburger, hot dog, fries, or breakfast) this is a great place to go. Service has always been super quick, food is good, and affordable. The staff is very pleasant and seem happy to work there. The décor takes you back with vintage red and white diner tables, waitresses on rollerskates, and Elvis on a motorcycle. There really is an actual motorcycle in the middle of the diner. The negative reviewers must not have gone in with realistic expectations. As the name, the menu, and the décor so obviously points out this is a diner and a darn good one!

So, I took my dad there a week ago. We like to try new restaurants. This one had great reviews from people who clearly smoked too much and had no taste buds left in their head. The food was awful. The service was mediocre, at best. The servers just reached the«friendly» threshold. My dad had their famous open-faced chili cheeseburger. He said that chili tasted like tomato sauce. It looked like it was straight out of a can. We won’t be going back.

I doubt if Adam Richman from Man vs. Food is returning here anytime soon. This used to be a decent place but no more. At least not last night. The chicken and vegetable soup contained enough salt to form a salt lick if the liquid had been removed. The waitress took it back and basically watered it down to make it semi-eatable. The dinner salads were about as insipid as possible. Iceberg lettuce and a few other things thrown onto a dessert plate. I’ve never heard of finger steaks served with barbecue sauce, but that’s how they were doing it at Rockie’s. No cocktail sauce in sight. The finger steaks were tough and overcooked and had little flavor. The onion rings were likewise dry and overcooked. One of the servers did apologize for not having a shaker of salt on the table — that would have at least given the finger steaks and onion rings some flavor. The waitress did subtract a dollar from the bill for the lousy experience. Out of 101 Unilocal reviews, this is only the second time I’ve rated a restaurant with just a single star. It was that bad at a place, again, that used to be pretty good.
