Delicious. Fun, hip pizza joint. Different types of pizza everyday. If you’re looking for a thin, crispy, cheap slice(or two) of pizza, this is your place. It takes a lot for us to give 5 stars. And this place most definitely deserves it. Hidden Gem.

IDK… this place can be rated in so many ways! lol I love it, cause it’s open until 3 am. umm…bad part… bathrooms are dirty… and pizza isn’t that great. umm.good part… pizza is amazing when drunk. and or stoned(I’m not claiming anything), or just want some fast cheap pizza from a dude who could kill you in the ally :) OKay not really, but you know. ;) Love this place, but not the best… if that makes sense. Go try it at least once… at 3 am… alone…drunk. it’ll change your life.

Hot wire my teenage heart. I just discovered a secret«den» in the back of Pie Hole that is covered in graffiti and stickers, low lit, and has a table tucked far away in the back. I can totally work from here late at night while sucking in the Beastie Boy /TMNT vibes. A girl in tight jeans just stood on a chair and wrote something on the ceiling. My table is a hunk of crap and it’s wobbly. My chair looks like it was stolen from a bingo hall. Love. So much LOVE.

Three of us stopped in for a slice of pizza after being told this was the best pizza in Boise. We were visiting on business from Portland. The vibe was similar to something we would see in Portland, to which my friend remarked. The guy behind the counter gave us a sour look and said don’t say that. That’s not good. Well, ok that’s kind of rude but whatever. They don’t have any beer on tap and the beer menu was hard to read. Went over to their fridge to check out the beer selection. I was promptly yelled at «stay away from those potatoes! Those are potatoes!!!» Well ok. I can see that but the potatoes were on the counter close to the fridge and I wasn’t touching them nor very close to them. A nice polite hey be careful would have been more suitable. The angry lady took her grumpy stare back to her pizza making. I went back to the front counter where one friend was already chomping on a slice. My other coworker said well these people aren’t very friendly. Yeah, no thanks. Lost my appetite. Staff is apathetic and rude. Pizza was meh. He gave my buddy the older greasy slice. Thanks but no thanks.

Went here for a quick bite before a band show and loved it. The pesto pizza didn’t have much flavor and too much cheese for my liking but I’m one if those who likes less cheese anyway. The real star was the Thai chicken and potato bacon pizza. The venue itself is pretty cool with a comic style mural on one wall of a bunch of people with pizza making utensils attacking a dragon to save the world. What more could you want!

Great thin pizza with light sauce. Absolutely delish! I finally found my NY style pizza joint in Boise! Will defiantly be back!

I love what Pie Hole is doing: pizza with unorthodox toppings served up for cheap in a rebel-youth décor setting. Unfortunately, on this particular visit, none of the pizzas really caught my fancy. I tried a slice of the Thai chicken pizza and a slice of the potato, mushroom and garlic Alfredo. That peanut sauce on the Thai pizza really brought a different angle to the pizza game, sweet and savory like a BBQ sauce pizza, but not overstated. Unfortunately, the chicken was dry and I’m not big on cilantro. The other slice had good flavors, but they were all mild all the pizza just ended up being a bit bland. Big plus points for having so many hot sauce options. There are a few pizzas that I would really like to try, like the Mac and cheese and the pulled pork, and I’m hoping I can come back and leave a better review.

Pretty good cheap pizza by the slice. Lots of variety. Light on the cheese and crispy crust which I love. Was nice and cool and cozy in a hot day. I’m sure it’s a great dive bar to hit up at night.

Pie hole is okay if you are starving but otherwise I don’t see alot of reason to come here. Just walk down the street to guidos and grab a slice that is significantly better. Staff are however nice and friendly. It’s probably not their fault that the dough and toppings are such bad quality.

Extremely dissappointed… came here. moderately early on a Saturday night and things couldn’t have gone more wrong. Screwed up my order, pizza was cold, and they wouldn’t even give me a water cup(despite offering to pay for it). Pizza at the salt lake location is already so-so but avoid this place like the plague(go to goldies instead).

When I rate places I try to take into all considerations. Price, atmosphere, quality and overall experience. if you want a good slice of pizza this place is what I would say about average. But if you want a late night slice downtown while sitting outside and people watching this place is the best. And that’s why I go here for for a good light night slice and to people watch. do it you will not be disappointed

This is my favorite place in town. The prices, food, staff and atmosphere are fantastic. It’s seems small, but with the seating in the very back and out front it makes for a great place for a beer and a bite. To the stuff: Keep up the great work. It’s people like you that make Boise awesome. Thank you.

Had one slice of tortellini and one slice of cheese between us before a show downtown. It was okay, nothing spectacular — tasted like leftover pizza warmed in the oven. :/Cool little outdoor space is great for people watching. Probably wouldn’t go back, though.

I love the potato-bacon pie, and their slices of the day are delicious. Some of my favorites include the mac-n-cheese and the corn dog. Very tasty New York style pizza by the slice!

Great local place. We asked a good place to eat and this place does not disappoint. The Potato pizza was really really good.

*one star or less café/feed pen* School lunch pizza. Flavorless. Even toppings have no flavor. The smoking on the patio is almost unbearable next to the drunk homeless guy hacking and spitting that frequents their patio wasn’t even told to leave even after his antics of picking fights with people who he accused of some delusion or another! The crew inside is your typical don’t-give-a-flyin-rat’s-@$$, college drop out, still living with parents at age 30+ type of hipster. I wasn’t disappointed, because my expectations never exceeded that precedent. Basically, you get what you pay for. You pay next to nothing to taste next to nothing.

Pie Hole is located in a great location in the pedestrian walking area of 8th Street. I don’t visit often as it seems to be an after drinking hot spot, but today I decided to try it during the mid afternoon. The atmosphere, employees, and general feel of pie hole is very unique. It’s definitely a culture location akin to Voodoo donuts. The pizzas though definitely don’t hold up to the reputation. Most slices will be large and very floppy. I generally recommend bringing extra napkins to pat off the grease. The food tastes decent, but not to the raving reviews and recommendations I’ve been told. I think that pie hole is a culture experience that is a local fun place to go. If you’re visiting Boise I think Pie hole will give you some fun memories and stories, but I wouldn’t Recommend it for a casual lunch or dinner. Pros: Pizza by the slice means you can order several different pizzas and have variety. Unique and different experience. Fairly reasonably priced. Cons: some staff are a bit brass Pizza can be very greasy. Basically reheated pizza

The pizza is okay. I think if I partied all night and was very hungry this would be the place to go. If you want a quick pizza that is not very tasty and want it in a hurry. This place is for you. Mediocre pizza, staff and décor.

YUCK! This pizza tasted like wet cardboard smells! It was so greasy it gave me a stomach ache! And to add insult to injury the staff made the characters from the film Clerks look like saints! A server actually told me it was the restaurants«prerogative» to serve water! Ummm!!! No! It’s kind of the law you arrogant ignorant greasy haired dick! If a costumer asked for a cup for water you give it to the costumer! You can charge for the cup but you don’t flat out refuse! I’d give a negative star if it offered it. YUCK!!! Icky and go to Pita Pit instead!

I’m originally from NYS and as someone from NY… I’d like to think I know a good piece of pie when I taste it. This pie? Not that great. It looked like it had been sitting out for about 6 hrs & even after they heated it up, it was still cold. It has POTENTIAL haha! to be good pie, but overall? Eh! I wouldn’t recommend it. The place is cool though… like a small pizza parlor in NY… I liked that. Maybe I got there at a time that the staff wasn’t really feeling the whole thought of working anymore for the night… even though they had several hours left lol. I’m new to Boise & am still scouting out new pizza joints. I’ve been here & to Prontos… neither were very good. Any suggestions from Boise peeps, lemme know :) Thx!
