I read the reviews after I sat down and I felt like I should have just got up and left… But It was hard to stay. When I parked my truck on the side on the building I noticed a very strong smell coming out of the kitchen by way of fan. Smelled like a dirty kitchen, but when I walked in the only thing I smelled was a old wood smell. Waiter seemed very busy or just trying to hurry to get off work. He wasn’t very attentive which was confusing because there was only one table besides ours. He took our order and brought out old dry bread… I took one bite, it must be HEB bakery bread from across the street. He brought out olive oil and parsley too but it didn’t go with the bread. The bread wasn’t your soft moist kind it was dry and airy. The music playing was great and the atmosphere was nice though. I ordered spaghetti meatballs. Different… That’s all I can say. The marinara was watery and had no flavor, the meatballs where good. My son ate a burger and he said it was good. I asked for pepper flake to add flavor to my spaghetti and he said they didn’t have any… lol had to throw that in. Will I return… Really not interested but maybe. First I’ll try the new Italian place down the street.

My wife and I decided to stop here for dinner on a Thursday. We both ordered the Chicken Alfredo, big mistake. When mine arrived the sauce was very soupy and the chicken didn’t taste fresh at all. The bread wasn’t very warm when they brought it out; I guess the lack of cars outside the building should have been a warning to us. I would not recommend this place to any of my friends or family.

We attended the wedding of a close friend at this venue. Since we traveled across the country to attend, the evening of the wedding we booked a «cabin.» I would rather have stayed at a Motel 6. The bathroom was filthy! There was a comet-desperate ring around the bath tub and dead bugs in there too! The shower curtain liner was so old! It was stained. The towels looked like shop rags, with strings hanging from them. There was water damage in the ceiling in the bathroom and a musty odor in the room. The«rustic» appeal they reference on their website is a nice way of saying«old.». The wedding venue was nice but I would never put my friends and family in this place. It was truly the«Aunt Edna» suite!

The owner is a great guy that is always giving back to the community of Boerne. What he does for his community is enough reason to eat here. Food is good and service is average for Boerne. Only complaint is the dumpster that you have to walk by when entering and exiting the restaurant. It is runis your appetite on the way in and puts a bad memory in your head on the way out. Park to where you do not have to walk by it.

I have been wanting spaghetti for like a week now… I know I could have just made it myself or just gone to Main Street Pizza in SA but it just hasn’t happened… Tonight we decided to give this place a try… Glad I did. I ordered the spaghetti(duh) and my wife got the lasagna… Her’s was better but what ever, it was all good. The only two complains were that the dipping oil for the bread wasn’t so good and the food wasn’t very hot when it was brought out… Still, overall I was pleased with my food and the restaurant. Give it a try.
