Rios Golden Cut Salons – S. Main

I took my kids to get their haircuts last Friday. While the girl was blow drying my 7-​year old daughter’s hair, another employee came over and started gossiping about someone and domestic violence. I interrupted and reminded them that my daughter is little, and the other employee rudely said she couldn’t hear over the dryer. I asked for a manager, and she (Jolynn) said she was the manager and the conversation was over and walked away. VERY RUDE and not family-​friendly. I called immediately to talk to corporate, and they said someone would call me back and nobody did. Don’t take your kids there. This «family» salon is clearly run by people who don’t understand family. Really bad experience. The management there is awful.

I went to Rios 1−17−15 to get a hair cut. 4 people were waiting. all stylist were busy. I knew I had to wait a while. it didn’t bother me. I signed in. after 30 minutes the 4 people ahead of me were taken care of. a lady that came in after I did was taken in after a few minutes waiting. then another man that came in after I did was taken back a few minutes after he arrived… then after I had been waiting 45 minutes, another man came in and the stylist hurriedly came to him chattering and told him to sign in and come and sit in her chair. All these people that came in after I did was greeted warmly by a stylist (that was obviously their friend or relative) and I was ignored. when I finally questioned this I was told «Oh they called in and had appointments.» So If they had previous appointments why did they sign in after I did? So I guess you have to be a friend or relative of the stylist to get fast and friendly service??? I finally walked out. I will not go there again and i will defiantly tell my friends and family about my experience.

They close at 7pm on Sat, we got there at 6:30. There were three people there, one cutting and the other two apparently just taking up oxygen. They asked the guy cutting if he was taking any more people and he said no. There was just one other person waiting. I made it clear we were there just for my son and they still said no. Needless to say I won’t ever be going back.
