Good food, great service, great people! We swung by a few minutes after their closing time, but the owner accommodated our party of four anyway. The polish dog and fries were average/above average. The service is outstanding! We would definitely come back the next time we are in Bodega Bay.

Food: $ 42 — Small over-cooked hamburger. Also, we were not asked how we wanted our meat cooked, I guess they cook them all one way? Limpy french fries, a couple of giant hot dogs on what looked to me like old bread and some chili on one of them that I was seriously questioning. Appearance: The condiments were all on a counter, in a corner, between the front door and a large open garbage can, which was pretty nasty and should really have a lid on it. The lighthouse knick knacks everywhere seemed out of place to me since it was a hot dog/dog themed restaurant but otherwise, that bathrooms were clean and cute. Staff: The employees were nice but must be smokers because their cigarette packs were sitting out on the counter in plain sight, were the food is prepared. There was a man behind the counter eating(again where the food is prepared) complaining about how«Lucas Wharf and The Birds are busy, SHIT!!» We won’t go here again when we are in town but did like the idea of it being a dog/hot dog themed restaurant.

We stopped by for a hamburger last night to go. We placed the order and received it within a few minutes. Not thinking about anything we left. After 2 bites my niece said it «tasted weird» but she took a couple more bites. She felt ill immediately and was getting sick within 5 minutes. When I looked at the hamburger I realized it wasn’t cooked through. Thinking back, when we placed the order the gal didn’t ask how we wanted to burger cooked and we didn’t know it was close to closing time… though we notice the hours when we left. A big mistake was made. The gal should have asked how we wanted the burger cooked, especially since not all people eat rare meat. We should have noticed the hours of operation before going in since we couldn’t take the hamburger back. Unfortunate.

Outstanding spot for a casual but fresh stop on your drive along Highway 1 or for your weekend in Bodega Bay. My husband and I stopped off for a late lunch and found everyone gathered here – boy scouts, old couples, teens, young couples. Everything we had was made fresh including a special ‘off-the-menu’ sandwich she made upon request. I had the best fried chicken tender sandwich ever with fresh-made honey mustard. They have a fixin’ bar full of crisp lettuce, ripe tomatoes, pickles, you name it as well as lots of condiments to choose from. My husband had the bratwurst and enjoyed it. Two thumbs up for house made and fresh cut french fries. And I am still enjoying the thickest and most delicious chocolate shake I’ve ever had. Seriously. My husband opted for ice cream from next door(a tiny spot but dishing out good looking sundaes and waffle cones) but I got a shake from here and it tasted the way shakes tasted 30 years ago – tons of ice cream and very thick. We will most certainly be back as there were at least 4 other things on the menu that we wanted to try. Oh, yeah. And the price tag for all the food we got(onion rings too) was a bit over $ 20. Amazing deal. Amazing food. Amazing customer service.

The owner is super nice and laid back. We are from out of town and he was very inviting. The restaurant setting is quaint and welcoming. The food prices are very fair for how fresh and delicious the food is. It’s a build your own, which is great so you can do whatever you want with your burger or dog. If I ever come through here again, I’m stopping here! :D

Being so close to the ocean has really made these people salty. Dirty counter tops and tables. It was as if I was bothering them to place my order. Asked for a side of cheese to go with my fries and was handed a 12 oz coffee cup with cold shredded cheese. $ 22.50 for two hot dogs, fries and a Coke? Could of had crab dinner for that much. Won’t be going back.

My husband and I stopped in after hiking around Bodega Bay. All we wanted was a burger. What we got looked like a burger, but tasted like sawdust. I ordered the garden burger, which was very painful to eat. If I wasn’t a vegan, I would’ve thrown it away and gotten ice cream next door. My husband got the turkey burger, he was just as unsatisfied and even more willing to throw it in the trash. There was a bit of family drama going on with the staff which was pretty uncomfortable. On top of all of this, we forked out nearly $ 20. We don’t consider ourselves a «classy» couple [sad but true], and we usually enjoy divey places but this was a whole new level.

PERFECT!!! I asked the girls to cook my half pound burger/Swiss as rare as legally possible. It was PHENOMENAL!!! They give you your burger on a huge soft roll with the meat/cheese. You then dress it yourself. If I could give this place 10 stars I would. They we’re extremely busy, yet the girls were friendly and on top of it. PLEASEREMEMBERTOTIPTHEM!!! They busted ass. Two burgers, endless fries, 2 sodas $ 32.00. SOOOOOWORTHIT!!!

Decent hot dog, well half hot dog anyway. They do that thing where they cut it down the middle to sear the inside, butterfly style. But then they only give you one of the pieces, so it was a quarter dog by the time I shared it with my wife. Seems a bit stingy for $ 7 but they do give you«all you can eat fries.» I ate 3 fries and ditched the rest because they are like a fatter version of In-N-Out style. Also, get ready to wait if you are going to get condiments because it is congested where they are: all tucked away in a corner. People are trying to fish out their chopped onions and relish from deep narrow bins with a long spoon and it takes a while.

I’ve been twice, first time got the old fashioned dog and it was really tasty. They use Vienna beef hot dogs. This second time I’ve been I got the giant Vienna. They have everything you need to make a «Chicago» dog. That’s what I made today, and how can you go wrong with a «Chicago» dog? Little bit of sweet, spicy, salty, sour, and pungent. The fries are all you can eat, but I’m not a huge fry eater. Small place, has a few indoor seating, and some outside tables that over look Bodega Bay. If you’re down at the coast, and craving hot dogs, this is the place to go. Service is friendly, and fast. I gave only 4 stars, because I haven’t tried anything else on the menu. They do have more then just hot dogs.

Not impressed. For $ 30 we got two cheeseburgers with fries and two iced teas. We waited over 30 minutes before we received even the tea. The stars are for the friendly staff and the fries which were really good. The burgers were over cooked. We won’t be back.

Went to bodega bay earlier today with my now fiancé and my brother after a couple hours of fishing on Wright beach and ended up here as we were trying to head back home. I ordered a chili cheese dog which came with fries(the fries are unlimited refills), my brother had the same, my fiancé got chicken tenders and also a cup of the cheeseburger chowder(sounds weird but something worth trying and we liked it). Food does come out fairly quick so the wait isn’t too long and staff are really nice. Condiments are located near the door and there are tons of stuff to choose from ranging from sauces to spices. I chowed down on pretty much everything since I was really hungry and ended up getting one order of extra fries because, personally, I’d want to get another order of fries since they are free refills. My personal favorite item of the whole meal was the cheeseburger chowder. It was pretty good, in my opinion. We got to try a sample while trying to order and I decided we just had to get a cup. Basically it’s like liquified cheeseburger. Okay maybe that might sound gross or interesting to some, but if you get chance try a sample, you might like it too. Seriously, give it a try. Definitely something different than your normal chowder or if you’re looking for something non seafood. Another reason we came here was because we had our dog with us so we had to find somewhere that allowed dogs out onto the outdoor seating area. Not only do they have dog biscuits, there’s also a bucket of water right outside the door labeled«dog water». Outdoor seating is also shared with people getting ice cream from the small shop right next door as well. Some seating has shade while others don’t, but on a nice day seating doesn’t really matter as long as I don’t get sunburn. Overall a good experience and I may possibly come by again if I’m ever heading back to bodega bay and I’m around the area.

The service here is exceptional, as is the food. As a frequent visitor of the area, I have eaten at just about every food establishment on the coast. This place is good for a quick bite. They offer corn dogs, homemade French fries(totally not greasy like the other reviews said. they’re bottomless too), gardenburgers, chicken breast sandwiches, hot dogs and burgers. There is a small area in the corner by the entrance with different seasoning salts, veggies and condiments. The place is owned and ran by 3 hard-working sisters. Their service is fast, and friendly. They share the building and restroom with Captain Davey’s Ice Cream & Espresso.(See my review for him too).
