Restaurant sans prétention dans lequel nous avons déjeuné une salade caesar au saumon fumé maison. Un peu chérot tout de même au vue dès portions et rien de transcendant niveau saveurs…

We came with two children who had been cooped up in the car and subsequently played like crazy at the beach. We were hoping they would fill up on bread before the good food came; in this we were sorely disappointed. That was the only disappointment of the night: the lobster ravioli was glorious, the fish and chips and scallops were also great. The clam chowder wasn’t my favorite but it could be personal preference. Expect to wait a while on weekend evenings, and you might not get as much bread that you want while you wait, but the food is definitely delicious.

I have been out to this place many years ago and I remember the service being way better. We were seated outside and my dad loved the view. I asked for water with light ice and when Matty the server dropped it off he said«light ice». It had the same amount my dad’s had in it and it wasn’t light. The food was just okay. I expected much better for how expensive everything was. It is definitely over priced. They serve potato chips with the sandwiches and charge 14.95. Crazy to me. I was offered a bowl of chowder, which never came. It was fine because I was already full. Service was very slow and we were only checked on once when we were almost done with our food. I work in the restaurant industry and I understand people have off days and sometimes servers get busy. I’m pretty sure Matty was also tending bar which makes it difficult to be attentive to your tables. The service wasn’t terrible, just bare minimum. Nothing special. And for as expensive as that restaurant is… the service should be outstanding. I will probably find somewhere else to dine next time I go to Bodega.

My husband and I come here every time we’re in Bodega Bay, it’s just so good! Last night we went and we ordered the fried calamari for an appetizer and were surprised at how big of a bowl they gave us. For the entrée my husband ordered the Lobster Ravioli and I chose the Fisherman Stew. They were so delicious! It’s a little pricey here but it is definitely worth it.

My friend Lisa and I spent a wonderful day on the beach Tuesday the 162016. To end a wonderful day we stopped for dinner and had the Hunters stew. Oh my goodness we were in heaven. Thank you for great food and friendly service. That is #1 in our book. Will see you again. Gina Rea of Napa

I’ve been coming to Bodega for 30 plus years. For the past 15, I’ve gone to the same place for lunch and dinner, unwilling to waiver. Today, we were able to get seated on the dog friendly patio at Lucas Wharf and didn’t have to order off a Valentine’s Day specific menu. The staff were so friendly even with such huge crowds… The Fishermans stew was beyond amazing. I found my new happy place in Bodega. Great views, great staff and food that far surpassed our expectations. Well Done!

I have been coming here for years and it’s consistent. Pricey but consistent. Today I had the salmon fish and chips special and WOW! DELICIOUS!!! And now that I think about it, it wasn’t THAT pricey, $ 16.95 for the special. The best part, besides their delicious and fresh food is their view! Gorg! I enjoy sitting on their outside deck on a nice day and taking my time to dine. I remember eating oysters on the half shell when I was young and wanting to live here. Lol. So beautiful! And seating by giant windows right on the bay. The service was friendly, but my water was not filled when I put my glass at the side of the table for refills, I’m big on hydration and there wee eonly 4 tables occupied. It was however filled when I was completed with lunch and about to leave. I downed it. ;) I would be giving 5 stars if there was more attention to my table, including my water refilled. But I may come back and change it to 5 after another experience, yum… this place is the cats pajamas and some of the employees really make this place one of the best on the bodega coastline… good people and family owned! Shop local! Highly recommended!

This place makes me say«meh.» It’s good but not great. The best thing is the calamari steak — very good and tender. And their fish tacos(a special) were yummy. But the rest of the entrees were just okay. This included a pasta dish and fish stew. The view is amazing though.

Ordered 2 Bloody Mary’s and 2 Bloody Maria’s at the bar and watched the bartender attend to everything but our order. We sat there for at least 15 minutes and he never even started our drinks! There were only two other people at the bar. Service sucked so we abandoned the idea of having lunch. This used to be such a great place to go but I can no longer recommend it.

Good for appetizers and a cocktail. Atmosphere is nice, views are great, menu has changed and rather pricey with limited choices

I saw that Stephanie A. on here from 2014 has the same rating scale as I do lol. We ate here & just«liked» it, so normally this place would be a 3 star for me, but I threw in a 4th because our server, Francisco, was really that fantastic & our view was beautiful. We had fried calamari for appetizers & I had the pomegranate lemon drop. The lemon drop was just ok, nothing to rave about. I’m wierd about calamari, but their calamari was good, I liked how it was battered, it tasted fresh & we loved the alternative vinegrete style sauce that came w/it in addition to the cocktail sauce. It was fantastic. Then we had the clams & clam linguine for our main course. They were both good. But what made it was Francisco. He was extremely attentive, let us know they were out of mussels before we ordered and had a great personality. Definitely will be back if we can get the same view & same server

We stopped in here for drinks last night and I ended up ordering fresh oysters(which were fast and delicious-the citrusy sauce served with them was so tasty) at a good price. Service was great– the bartender was excellent. Everything coming out of the kitchen looked and smelt amazing. I’m excited to come back for the full dinner experience.

Been here a few times and it is our go to place in Bodega. We live fairly close and when we are feeling like seafood this is where we go. Caution not to fill up on bread because they give you about half a loaf when you sit. My husband always makes the mistake of getting a bowl of clam chowder and fills up on that and bread right away never being able to eat his entrée. The service here is never really that great and the place has an overall crowded feel with the tables being so close together. The calamari is always delicious and their fish and chips are great. A friend had gotten the calamari steak once and said it was ok. It looked like the most ridiculous brick of squid one could find. I was once feeling adventurous and decided to get the mixed plate of fried seafood. There wasn’t that much«mixed» just like three different kinds and as a new englander searching for some fried clams I thought a pacific fried oyster would compare. Man was I wrong. Just a nasty piece of breaded mush. My husband tells me it was good and I do enjoy a good oyster once and a while but this was surely not it. I usually go for the fish and chips and always enjoy it. I may be hard to please in the seafood department growing up in the Boston area… But when I am in Bodega Bay this is my go to place.

Other than the BBQ’d oysters, this place is way too pricey for the amount of food and or quality you receive. I ordered clam linguini. It appears with 2VERYTINY clams in it and the rest was linguini and some minute amount of chopped tomatoes and or other veggies in it. Disappointing. I tried a home-brew beer and it was not good. Service was slow and our server really seemed put out by our asking questions about the menu. Quite unfortunate, as the locale was awesome and sitting on the pier watching the seals swim around was super cool.

Nice atmosphere, especially if you get a table near the water. We wanted to eat outside but there was not enough umbrellas for shade and it was pretty hot by 11:00AM(yesterday). There were 4 of us and we all enjoyed our meals, however, my white fish sandwich had way too much mayo sauce on it. I wish the server would have mentioned that there was cole slaw inside the sandwich because I ordered coleslaw instead of potato chips or fries. My bf had the fish & chips. He said they were good. I didn’t have the clam chowder but the others did & said it was really good. Our friend had the brick chicken and when his plate arrived it looked amazing! And he had a roasted pasilla pepper stuffed with cheese. It also came with mashed potatoes. He ate every morsel! They had a nice looking bar but no Tres Equis beer and they don’t take American Express. Parking is plentiful and we would definitely come back.

Had the mango ceviche, clam chowder, and a Bloody Mary out on the patio with Grandma Shirley and Fifi today. A beautiful day to be out on the water! The ceviche was delicious, and I was sorry I had already eaten bread before it arrived. I would have liked to dip a whole loaf into the ceviche juice. The clam chowder was yummy, like all clam chowders on the coast: creamy, nice chunks of potato and celery, chewy hunks of clam. The Bloody Mary was the runaway winner of the dining experience — it was perfectly spiced and came with a healthy-sized house made dill pickle spear. I could have sat on that patio sipping Bloody Marys all weekend long. The wait staff were attentive and kind. The service was efficient and quick. The water came with a slice of lemon and our glasses were never empty. We might not have stopped here but for the giant dog friendly sign out front. So glad we did!

I was pleasantly surprised at how good the seafood stew was at Lucas Wharf. It had a generous amount of fish and shrimp, plus a couple of clams and mussels. Slightly spicy. Way too much celery, I ended up eating around most of it. The garlic bread was good but I preferred the plain sourdough they brought out for the table. Really nice soft sourdough with a crispy crust. One in our party ordered the ceviche but was disappointed that it came with potato chips rather than plantain chips as the menu stated, and our server didn’t warn her. Others at the table ordered the shrimp salad and the seafood sauté and enjoyed them, although to me the stew definitely looked like the best thing at the table. The restaurant has a good view of the water from almost any table. Recommended for the stew.

I’ve been coming here since 1986, and it’s doubtful I’ll be back. In the past it was a nice cozy place where you could grab a sandwich, bowl of chowder, or a well-prepared piece of seasonal catch. Nothing fancy, just good food at reasonable prices and the staff more than made up for their lack of polish with a pleasant and affable demeanor. Unfortunately, all of that has change… for the worse. The portions are small, the flavors bland, and the prices are way out of line. The clam chowder(normally a hit) was thin, devoid of clams, and tasted like it came out of a can. Probably did. My favorites(open-faced shrimp sandwich and blackened fish) are gone and nothing has replaced them. Even the previously awesome sourdough bread tasted like a styrofoam replica. Unless you happen to be out at the coast, are really really hungry(and everything else is closed) I’d take a pass on this over-priced tourist trap. One star because you can’t give zero and one star for my memories of a once great little spot.
