Love this chain! Great NYC style food. Decent prices. Great for delivery, pick-up or eat-in. This location has a lot of seating. Good location in Boca/Delray border… Service quality and speed could definitely improve. About average… Still love Toojay’s!

The waitress we had was phenomenal, very attentive. My Reuben was hot, bread mushy in the right places with crispy ends. Just the right amount of sauerkraut and dressing. Very generous portion of corn beef on the sand which. The broccoli cheddar soup was delicious and creamy too. The best was the Irish cheesecake. It was the perfect amount of sweetness, cold, creamy and the perfect way to end my meal. I will definitely come back again. The presentation of all the food was very nice too.

Too Jays of Woodfield Plaza is the best restaurant in the usa. My father passed away last week and our family wanted to make a lunch reservation for approximately 30 people. My friends and family said there is no bagel place nor restaurant that would take that kind of reservation at lunch hour even offering a deposit. My family scrambled making phone calls in a panic because we felt to pay respect to our deceased father we wanted a lunch that he enjoyed all these years of living in delray/boca raton. We were turned down with every phone call and after the owner of Poppies rudely said they don’t do such a thing and hung up on my sister we were devasted. The manager of the funeral parlor heard this conversation and was shocked that we were treated with such disrepect. Too Jays to the resuce… one call, no deposit, welcoming manager, great wait staff and the FOOD was hot and delicious. They even served us all at the same time. Professional and compassionate. I live closer to Poppies but after the disrespectful and rude manner they have I will pass poppies to now go to a much better place… TOOJAYS. They made a very sad event for 30 people into a remarkable experience and I will be beholden to them for life. Thank you Too Jays… you make your customers welcome and treat them like family… and by the way… your stuffed cabbage is awesome!

The place was empty when I was there, I was told to seat at any table. The service was friendly and fast. The Ruben sandwich was served dry, not a right amount of Russian dressing was put on it. The French Onion Soup was hot and bubble, delicious. I will give it another try. Overall it was ok.

When will we learn not to go to this TooJays location? Called in order for pick up. Get placed on hold several times while attempting to order from a person whose dialect is so pronounced they are difficult to understand. Two seperate people call me back to correct and verify my order yet they still get it wrong. Wait staff and hostess standing around totally ignoring customers at front for 5 to 7 minutes. My husband enjoyed his rib eye, citrus chicken wad tasty. I had chopped salad and woke up at 2am and gave it back to the toilet…:(. Quite unpleasent. We never have any of these issues at Woodfield or Boynton TooJays. We coststantly have service issue here.

I can only sound off on the weekday breakfast experience as I’ve been there several time with my coworkers. Service has always been prompt and attentive and food has always been plentiful(good size portions) and delicious. I often get the Egg, Avocado, Spinach and Swiss breakfast sandwich and it’s absolutely delicious. The homefries are just right and if you opt for the fruit, it’s nice and fresh. We’ve had no issues(thus far) with a long wait as it’s been rather slow in the weekday mornings(of course the last time I went it was busier and I’m sure it’ll get busier during these upcoming months). All-in-all, I have enjoyed my experiences here. Based on the other reviews, it looks as though it may not be the place to go during busier times but I’m happy with my own experiences thus far.

If you are under 50 and want to feel young again, come to this Toojays, where the septuagenarians sup on soups and chow on corned beef. Particularly in season, this is snowbird central. The waits, walker or no, can be long, surprisingly with no bench to sit on given the average age of the crowd, and frankly, the time spent isn’t worth it. They’ve changed the menu, and not for the better. It looks less like a deli with every pass and the«Chicken and Waffles» with their salad chicken tenders are just embarrassing. Kugel maker, stick to thy noodles… The food is good, not great. It’s bit overpriced for a chain of delis, and made with all of the love and care of an upscale McDonalds. Delis should have a personal feel, some style. Sometimes you can clone that. Sometimes you can’t. I’ve been to several Toojays and this one just lacks pop. The one over by the Town Center Mall is better with the same menu, and there are delis(see my other reviews) in the area that have pop and personality.

This is based on multiple experience here. We have done take out too many times to count, gone with work, and with my parents. Lunch is hopping during«snowbird season!» But I never waited more than 10 minutes. Yes there are a ton of older people so if you’re bringing a three year be prepared to have them say he’s cute and you could eat him up. Our food was always ready when they said it would be. The Rye Bread! If you question getting a loaf, just DOIT! Ps we are in our 30s most people who come are 60/70s we’ve seen.

VERY plain dishes and food. I only went more than once because it was so convenient to my hotel and so inexpensive. Staff is generally friendly, the customers not so much. I actively do not frequent any other locations as I come across them, knowing the general point of the place. I would likely go back, but only because I’m too exhausted after work to figure out where I really want to go for fast, cheap food.

TooJays is my mine and my boyfriends favorite place to eat! We go at least once a week and look forward to seeing Alex who works behind the counter. He is so nice and always hooks us up with exactly what we need. We love the buffalo chicken fingers and chicken Caesar salad. Definitely worth going!

Not a big fan. I had a pastrami sandwich and it does give the appearance of being piled high but it is just an illusion since they use small slices of rye bread. Also, the pastrami was very fatty. I know it is a fatty meat but this one was more than I was used to. The rye bread happens to be very good. The potato knish was also a big disappointment. It was very doughy and not particularly«potatoey». Need less dough and more potato. After all, it’s a potato knish, not a dough knish. I did like our server. He was very helpful and very pleasant.

First deli and restaurant I came to when I arrived in south Florida 18 years ago. Rye bread corn beef pastrami smear chop liver Russian dressing matzah ball soup chili are some of our favs here. Since then lake worth has a location and Coral Springs and many other florida locations. Two thumbs up. Though not fine dining come for deli and allow more time they seem to train staff regularly food yummy …

Prepare to camp out while you wait for food even if the restaurant is empty. 30 – 45 minutes after ordering you may see your food Food is ok but you have to make up your mind if it’s worth the frustration.

Some family members recommended TooJays so we stopped in for lunch today. The place was about half full at noon and the clientele seemed to be mostly 65 and over. The dining room was very spacious and comfortable but the décor looked a bit sad, like a generic Florida diner from 1990. As for our orders, I got a Nova and egg plate and the other diners got a Philly cheese steak and a Reuben, both served with fries. I really hate to be a negative Nelly but I thoroughly despised my dish. The eggs were eggs but the Nova was more nondescript orange goop than tasty salty fish. I got the feeling it was not fresh and that it was sitting in a fridge for a long long time. Oh yeah, I ordered Rye toast and got white. I had about ¼ of my meal before tapping out, though the kids ate it right up for what it’s worth. The reports on the 2 sandwiches were not so great. When asked about how the Philly was the response was«ehh». As for the Reuben the meat was said to be gummy and the taste was called flat and disappointing. Both diners didnt care for the fact that the fries were served with no salt or seasoning whatsoever, and the pickles seemed to be the cheapo kind you get from the supermarket, not traditional deli pickles. I’d also like to also point out it took 20 minutes to get our food with a half full room. A bit slow in my opinion, though I think it was just the kitchen running behind and not the server, who was very sweet and attentive. TooJays definitely not the worst place in the world but it is far below average in my opinion. A few things could certainly stand to be improved, particularly the food quality. One star.

My brother and I had lunch here today and while mediocre food was expected — service this poor was not. According to the receipt, our server was named«Liz». Liz is the worst waitress I have seen in a long long time. She never cracked a smile from the time we sat down to the time she brought us our check. Our food took forever as well. We ordered a burger and chicken fingers. It took over 40 minutes during the lunch rush. She came over one time during our meal to say«do you need anything?» And when she brought over our check… It was crumbled!!! Crumbled!!! I have never seen a crumbled check handed to a customer before. She was really horrible. She should probably find a job that does not require her to deal with customers.

I wanted to grab a quick salad and ended up getting a chicken Caesar with shrimp. It was good, the shrimp were small. The bakery items looked really great and the atmosphere was welcoming! The menu posted and the actual menu look different so make sure you ask to see a full menu.

I heart TooJay’s. We typically order in and pick it up. They have daily soups so you might want to call to inquire on these. IF not just go Mazto Ball and thank me later, it’s damn good. Their half sour pickles are a must. Reuben sandwiches are great for a hangover. Diet Dr. Brown’s Cream Soda *another must for me*. They have amazing tuna fish salad which you can get on a salad or in a sandwich. Their chicken salad sampler is another one of my favorites. Everyone is real friendly and service is fast. Parking is a B, I wish they had a 10 min parking spot out front just for pickup. The clientele is definitely older than most TooJay’s but we are also in Boca Raton… aka God’s waiting room.

Yesterday, I stopped by here for lunch. The place was busy, but the wait was only a few minutes. The waiter invited me to choose a seat, and he would be right with me. Since I’ve only eaten at TooJays for breakfast, I was curious to see what they had for lunch. I already knew their menu is vegetarian-friendly, which was the reason I decided to dine here. I ended up ordering a potato knish and a citrus salad. Both were very tasty. The potato knish was cooked perfectly and was a nice appetizer of choice. The citrus salad was loaded with strawberries, grapes and other fruits. It was also topped with bleu cheese and raspberry vinaigrette. Overall, I was in and out of this place in about 30 minutes. The waiter was an older man who was on top of my order. The food was good. I was a happy, full lady.
