The food tastes great, but the service is awful. The woman at the register was incredibly rude and had no care in the world for making the customer feel welcome. If I’m handing over $ 10 for a bagel sandwich, I’m expecting at least a shred of kindness from the people behind the counter. First and last time there.

This is the worst bagel shop. The tuna salad is gross just wet and fishy. It’s basically Chunk light tuna and generic mayo just eerwww. The deli is dried out and gross. The bagels are small dry and no taste. Coffee is horribly metallic and bitter. The bakery items are just not appetizing at all. The cashiers are rude the people behind the counter are rude and sloppy. This store isn’t expensive just very crappy. They sell many different items but none are good. Save yourself the time go elsewhere.

This place thinks the customer should service them. I came in and ordered a bagel an egg sandwich. While waiting for my eggs my friend went to fix her coff5. I went to pay and the cashier said I need to see all your food. I said my friend went to fix her coffee. I also told her that she will not get a chance to talk to me again because I will never be back. The nasty little owner comes out and confronts me about my tone of voice and I tell her the same. This food is no better than any other deli in Delray. Their attitude sucks and don’t deserve any business. Their prices are through the roof. Do yourself a favor and go to a place where they appreciate a customer!

Mindy, My family and I would like to thank you for making such a lovely spread for my mom’s memorial last Sunday. Everything was delicious, from the lox and white fish, to the yummy cookies. It was beautifully displayed and it wowed everyone. I appreciate that you followed up with me by calling before the event and everything was ready precisely on time. Thank you so much for helping to make my mom’s memorial, very special. Debra

Had lunch here today while visiting Boca. Very good selection of sandwiches, salads, and pasta dishes. The queue for ordering was a bit confusing for bee customers but was offset by the quality of service. My wife and I ordered two sandwiches which were top notch. I so got their chocolate chip cookies which I found to be average. The interior seating area see m s like an after thought, seating outside also was inadequate foe the amount of people being served. If you come at lunch plan on raking it away.

Only got bagels but they were perfect. Crisp on the outside then delightfully chewy. Loved the rest of the prepared foods in the deli cases. Cashier was super friendly and we joked about some of the other patrons. Overall best bagel I’ve had in south fla. price is on par for the area.

This is my favorite bagel place. Every time I come to Boca this is the first and last place I visit. My personal favorite is the spinach bagel with the vegetable cream cheese. My only warning is be ready to spend some time in line if going during peak hours. It will be worth it!

Under it’s new ownership, Way Beyond has diversified its offerings a bit more, catering to the tastes of the über wealthy that live in nearby, but it is ridiculously overpriced(Nova lox is $ 42 a pound!) which is why they price by the ¼ pound. It’s more of a Maserati than Mazda crowd, a factoid that is particularly useful if you want to bump into your doctor or lawyer before they hit the office. Just check with your investment banker before entering, AND if you have a car greater than four years old and under 50k you might have the PD wondering what you’re doing here. The service is «have it our way:» No substitutions, no exceptions. They do this in part because they service some of the most demanding and intolerant customers on the planet earth. But still, it is offputting to those who are just looking to get something a bit healthier or a bit better for their diet. So you can’t order what you want. When it’s packed they do lovely things like refuse to cut bagels. Their are bagels are the shining star of this place. The rest of their deli is very good, about a B+ in New York deli terms, but at A+ plus prices. Grill orders for bagel sandwiches get screwed up with such regularity that I don’t even bother ordering from there anymore if I go. Occasionally though, you want to good bagel, and you’re willing to put up with the high prices and the crowds and the service, it will suffice.

AWFULCUSTOMERSERVICE. I called for a very large order and wanted to see if I could pick it up early the next day and was transferred to a woman who was rude and said«well we open at 7 and no slicing!» No thanks Way beyond bagels, i’ll take my business elsewhere.

Love this place for flagels(think bagels with less dough in inside and flatter). Love love the fat free egg white salad. During high season, the crazy lines are not worth the wait.

Way Beyond Bagels is so much more than bagels! I was pleasantly surprised when I walked in, to see they have not only a nice selection of bagels, bialys and flaygels, but a large amount of prepared salads(chicken, tuna, egg), soups and other meal items(like meatloaf). Its a little chaotic trying to find the line but no more difficult than most bagel shops. I ordered the egg onion bagel which was medium sized, and nice and fresh tasting. The doughiness was super yummy and I enjoyed it with the house made low fat veggie cream cheese. My husband ordered a bagel with nova lox, and the lox was super fresh and tasty, not too salty. The Hawaiian Coconut Ice Coffee was a great flavor, and came for only $ 1 with the purchase of the Nova lox bagel sandwich. Way Beyond Bagels is so much better than those chains and grocery store bagels!

Great food! A lot of selection. Oh and it was my first job in high school :) I still love going back. It was family owned and operated for years, and a lot of pride is put into cleanliness

Do yourself a favor and go to Bagels with Deli down the street!!! Way Beyond is horrible! The only thing they have beyond bagels for breakfast is a wrap! So I resorted to a bacon egg and cheese on a bagel… bagel was stale and you can find a larger sandwich at McDonalds for 99 cents! Not to mention the service was rude and the ice coffee I got was so bitter I could not drink it! Also will have to awkwardly wait around the cash out line for your food even if you are dining in because there are no food runners or order numbers to go by(which also caused other guests to be confused and frustrated)!!! Also take the coffee condiment bar off wheels so it doesn’t roll around everywhere while you are trying to grab a straw!!!

DELICIOUS bagels, but so overwhelming. Unless you are a regular, be prepared to be confused. I wasn’t a fan of them not really having a menu, you kind of just have to know what to order/where to get it. Food was great though!

THEPLACE They are very militant about how the ordering works here. So be sure you follow their rules or get scolded. First, be sure you walk in and order under the sign that says«Order Here». Don’t think about walking back to where the bagels are. That is a no no. Once you figure out their method, you will be OK. But as a first timer, it is a little much. In fact, I had several friends say they left because of the way that you needed to order and felt that it was confusing and they were not treated nicely. The short story is that you stand under the sign and someone waits on you, they will follow you around as you place your order, then delivery it to the cashier(who I think is owner), to get your coffee and cash you out. The place is spotless and they have a great selection of items. THEFOOD The bagels are very good. Probably the best around as far as taste, consistency and freshness. That said, you pay for it. They are also the most expensive around from what I can tell. There is a nice assortment of muffins, coffee cakes and other bakery items. Again, these are very good, but are also quite costly. The muffins and coffee cakes are about $ 3.50 each. THESTAFF Once you are in the know about how to order, the staff takes good care of you. I do find it odd, that if you order eggs on your bagel, they disappear into the back kitchen for a long time before emerging with your bagel. Seems like they should have some expediters for that part of the ordering. If you order a bunch of bagels, be prepared to wait. They cut each bagel with a knife, so it takes a while. I am surprised that don’t have a bagel guillotine, since a lot of their job is cutting bagels. All in all, the best bagels around. But you pay for it.

Didnt like the bagel. Everything bagel was too sweet. It tastes like honey in the dough. I like the set up and how cute everything looks. But I came here for a good bagel. Didnt happen. Wont be back.

I have been coming here for about a decade(since the store opened), and I think this place is fantastic. The best bagel in the greater Palm Beach area(IMHO). In summary: their bagels are delicious, the service has personality(ok fine… maybe they could be a little nicer), and the selection can’t be beat. At the end of the day, it’s still the highest quality stuff around, so it’s a little pricey(think ~$ 12 for a bagel with lox, tomato, and onion), but you get what you pay for. The portions are HUGE — they don’t skimp, and it’s all extremely filling. Fresh squeezed OJ and the macadamia nut coffee are also not to be missed. They also cater all of my family’s brunch-related events, and we’ve been consistently pleased with the quality

Best bagel in south florida so far. It’s been so hard finding a good bagel spot since moving from Brooklyn but this place has it all! My girl took me here today for a taste of home and it was amazing. Not just bagels either, they had a HUGE selection of gourmet deli food and everything looked super fresh and well prepared. I ordered a toasted spinach everything bagel w/scallion cream cheese & a slice of tomato. Also ordered a tall tiramisu flavored iced coffee to wash it all down– simply divine! I live in dania beach and would gladly drive back up just for this place!!! If you’re vegetarian or vegan you have a lot of options here so I love that too :)

«Way Beyond Bagels» is the PERFECT name for this place as it’s really more of a gourmet deli than it is a bagel bakery. The line will probably be long when you venture in, but have no fear. It moves quickly and there are so many yummy items in the deli case for you to water your mouth over. The assortment of gourmet and unusual salads is endless. My ONLY complaint is the high cost — generally it’s $ 2.50 — $ 2.75 for a ¼ pound of most of the items in the deli. Yeah, maybe I’m cheap, but I don’t even spend that much for deli items at Whole Foods or Fresh Market. BUT, I’ll never find the unique deli offerings at the box stores! While I really loved my bagel breakfast sandwich, I can’t justify paying more than I would at Brooklyn Water Bagel Co, but Way Beyond Bagels is a solid option in west Delray if you’re looking for something different, or just the same, or simply yummy, but at a higher cost.

Boca raton probably has more bagel joints per capita than any other south fl city. To me it’s all really the same. Until I’ve tried bagels here. I had an everything bagel toasted with scallion cream cheese and Nova with a pumpkin iced coffee. It was pricy but awesome. The best bagel ive ever had it had the perfect crunch-soft ratio. The coffee is infused in house. They had a ton of premade salads and stuff but everything is really priced in the stratosphere IMO.
