The Master Escape Room

Awesome escape room! It was such a blast!
I’ve been to a couple escape room places and the room we tried here was so much fun, the riddles were really well thought out. The entire premise of the escape really flowed well from one clue to another and the entire group had a blast.
The rules were explained clearly by the staff (3 mins deducted for a hint or 5 minutes deducted for a clue), the premise of the rooms told by a cool, animated video in the room.
The place is a bit hard to find and the signage isn’t that great, but to help other Unilocalers, the suite is located at the far right end of the plaza, right next to Dixie Highway.
A+++++, would definitely recommend this place

We have done dozens of escape rooms and this has been our favorite! Everything is very professionally done and extremely engaging. The props, riddles, story line, rooms… AMAZING! We currently have the record escape time, but I won’t disclose what that was!

A bit of anxiety, a lot of lock combinations, and a good amount of Unilocaler brainpower… add them all together, and you have a really fun, entertaining evening!
First, getting here: do not listen to Google Maps on your phone! Thankfully I was really early, so I had plenty of time for my navigation to mess with me and send me into a student housing complex behind the actual building. The Master Escape Room is located south of NE 20^th Street on the east side of Dixie, in the Mizner City Centre (an ivory-​colored building with a terracotta tile roof). Go toward the south side of the building, and look for the room’s sign in the window.
Once inside, we were able to put our belongings (including cell phones) into a locker. We were brought into a tiny room, where we watched a short introduction video before we got to work solving the first of MANY puzzles. I won’t spoil it, but it was a blast! I’d recommend having a lot of people so you can all search for different clues at the same time. There are three rooms you end up exploring (plus a hallway). If you get stuck at any time, you can use the little walkie-​talkie they give you to get a hint (a nudge in the right direction, which subtracts 3 minutes from your time) or a clue (a much more straightforward answer to help you figure out a puzzle, which subtracts 5 minutes).
We ended up only using a clue once toward the end, but even with those 5 minutes deducted, we finished with 9 minutes to spare! The lady at the front desk had told us in the beginning that not many people end up finishing, so we were quite happy to have made it out to celebrate! Overall this was a challenging adventure, but we all walked out raving about the experience. I’m already itching to do another! There’s no point in doing this one again (since I already know how to escape), but in a few weeks they’ll be opening a «bank vault» room where you get to be the bad guys, and we’ve all decided we have to come back!
If you’re thinking about doing the Master Escape Room, go for it! It’s such a unique way to spend an evening! And right now, they even have a Groupon deal. Enjoy!

Family Night at the Master Escape Room!!! Highly recommend this — we had a great time working together to solve the clues and puzzles to find the answers! We needed everyone’s special talents to to come together for the solutions! Definitely fun!

This was really fun! 6 family members solved the clues and escaped! It was very hard, or was a blast!

I had a great time here yesterday! I love escape rooms so much I brought two other couples with us including my sister and her boyfriend. This room books up to eight people so there was another couple in our group. They turned out to be nice and like myself and my husband have done other rooms.
This room was very challenging. There was a lot of stuff going on. We had a great time solving the ‘Crime a Scene.‘
If you have never done one of these rooms they are great for anyone who likes solving clues and puzzles. Without giving too much away I will say that you can expect searching for keys and figuring out lock combinations. They are a lot of fun and this room was enjoyable.

Awesome experience!!! Definitely recommend to go with friends or groups of 3 or more. It gets more interesting as you go. Many puzzles to work on! 8 people can be working on a different puzzle at one time! Really challenging, but not hard. Highly recommended!

Came here yesterday with my family. We had so much fun! It was challenging but as another reviewer said, they do give you hints that don’t give the clue away but are really helpful. I’ve been to other escape rooms before and in my opinion this one is of the best ones I’ve been too so far. I definitely recommend it! And the staff is very friendly too!

I really enjoyed it. The puzzles were a lot more challenging than I expected, but it’s is great! Definitely recommend this place ! Plus if you get stuck you get hints that don’t give away the answer, but really help you out a lot.

Went with a group of friends. The place is clean and the staff very friendly. I found the escape to be a little harder than expected, but our group had fun!

Way harder than I thought it was going to be! So much fun. The woman at the front was so friendly! Wish I got her name. She was very helpful and excited for us to be there! Awesome night.

Great experience and would recommend to group or company. This is a very good team building activity and a great way to have fun with friends. This was my first time but I can’t wait to try another room with my friends.
