Mootz’s Homemade Italian Ice

Excellent Italian Ices with perfect flavor and texture
Just like the way you remember them as a kid in NYC (at least that is what I heard from the other customers).

Found out about Mootz’s via Groupon and since I was having date night in Boca, figured I would give them a visit this past weekend.
They close at 11, and I got there about 10:40, so everything was putaway, floor was wet, etc. Not the greatest first impression, but it was understandable. They also didn’t have all the flavors, which also sucked because the 2 I wanted were missing. Once again, I can understand being so late and the inventory being low.
Other than that, this place is real nice. They let you try any flavor you have interest in, they serve ice cream, italian ices (sugar free options available). .. and on a hot summer night in South Florida, it sure was great to find a place like this. I gotta say, that strawberry cheesecake ice cream is real good. .. recommended by the employee. .. great recommendation.
I still have 10 bucks left on my giftcard here so I will be going back and updating this review, hopefully during the day, and give people a better idea of the place. .. but its an ice cream shop, next to a BoneFish Grill and the area/​plaza is real nice. I’m pretty sure they get great business all day in this heat.

Mmmm– just the fact that I can eat Italian Ice in December down here makes me happy!
Mootz’s is the perfect dessert while spending time (or I guess living) in South Florida. They have every flavor imaginable in water ice, cream ice, and sugar free! I’ve had the mango water ice (which actually has real pieces of mango in it) and splurged for the reeses cream ice (which sounds fattening, but isn’t bad at all).
Mootz’s is the place to go for those with a sweet tooth (me!), but are on a diet (me too!). They have a list of all the different italian ices with the nutritional ingredients to help their customers make healthy decisions.
We could use a Mootz’s in Chicago during the summertime!
