Floors To Go of Boca Raton

Tim is so beyond a warped reality. I love his last statement ‘look up Keith’s critical reviews of my NC vacation’. Tim… I’m honest. I will share good and bad. I post a ton of reviews, hence Unilocal ‘Elite’. You sir, happen to be really bad, which you don’t like of course and will twist truths to avoid it. I went back and forth with the builder and ‘I’ didn’t have them come b/​c we both agreed they were within tolerances. But nice try on that one! Summary: Floors to go should have not installed in first place and Floors to go offered NO warranty support (I paid for it all). New box of laminate you provided? That’s because your guy broke every piece in my new box I paid for back then so you had to. Nice try again Tim! Wrapping up, anyone who cares to know the truth on this site or the BBB site I will provide YOUR emails. We are done, but I will do what I can to ensure others avoid this store at all costs. Sales & Installation is one thing, but no support? Go elsewhere even if it costs you a bit more. And I’m not the only one on Unilocal with ‘Tim’ stories.

What can I say about Tim Jones of Floors to Go Boca Raton? He’s a nice guy, very warm and inviting when you are shopping for flooring. But, that’s where his concern stops.
Too not bore you with details, here is a summary of our experience (by the way, we are in the process of filing a law suit against Floors to Go Boca Raton — so you know how this ends).
* We paid for flooring, which we found out later we were grossly overcharged for.
* Tim sent an inexperienced installer to perform the work.
* The installer charged us extra to level the uneven sub-​floor (which is standard process).
* The installer left major gaps and uneven areas throughout the floor.
* We contacted Tim about the issues and refused to pay the remaining balance until it was addressed.
* It took Tim 30 days to come out and look at our floors.
* Tim tried to pass it off as a manufacturing issue, not due to installation problems.
* We hired an independent flooring inspector for an impartial analysis.
* Flooring inspector said it was, in fact, an installation issue & the floors would have to be replaced and properly leveled.
* Tim hired his own inspector (after 30 days of prodding).
* His inspector couldn’t tell us his findings, but we could infer that he came to the same conclusion.
* When asked about the 2^nd inspection report, Tim told us, he couldn’t send it to us because it was full of, (get this) «technical grammar».
So, long story short, we are forced to take him to court to have this resolved. My recommendation to families having hardwood floors installed for the first time, hire a reputable installer vs going to a company that sells flooring and provides their own contractor. This way, you will have more control of the situation.
And by all means, Stay Away from Floors To Go Boca Raton.

Tim was recommended by a friend who had new carpet installed. Tim and his team were very professional. They installed carpet in my office, stairs and bedrooms. I had hardwood floors installed in the living/​dining area. The floors look GREAT!

This is the second time I have bought and installed flooring at Floors to Go in Boca Raton. The service is great. Tim is very personal and helpful. He even remembered my job from 6 years ago! The process was easy and quick. The laminate in my son’s room from six years ago is beautiful and the hardwood floors I installed throughout my second floor this week is even nicer! The installer, Anderson, and his men were professional and did great work. I researched many local floor places and Floors To Go was the best price.

Tim, the owner is a super nice guy. Will make you feel comfortable at ease. But he’s a salesman — Just in it for the sale. No follow through on promises, and doesn’t have any good or reliable installers.
I guess my $ 500 order wasn’t a big deal for him, so 1 month later I received a refund & no apology. He acted like I was the problem…
What he didn’t know is that I own a 5000sqft home & was testing him on something small like a $ 500 closet job before i’d use him for the larger projects like marble & wood flooring.

Great service. I had a tight schedule with travel and they fit me in great. They took the time to go over the product and install completely. I can appreciate that they listened to my install concerns. The installers were professional, courteous and cleaned up afterwards. After they install the installer came and addressed any follow ups I has. Top top notch stair installation. The craftsmanship was amazing. The installer treated the job like it was his own home. Definitely recommended.

I needed hardwood floors in my master bedroom and guest bedroom. After trying 3 different companies I finally found Floors to Go. I walked in on a Saturday afternoon and met Tim and he helped me pick ‘great’ floors at a reasonable price! I was also on a tight deadline and needed the floors installed by the next Thursday which was going to be hard considering Monday was a Holiday. He made it happen! The gentlemen installing the floors were also ‘amazing’, ‘friendly’, ‘on time’, ‘clean’ and ‘profressional. The floors look awesome. Thanks to Tim and his crew!
