Florida may not be known for Croissants, but the Inn Bakery surely should be on the map! While visiting Florida I was searching high and low for the perfect croissant. And, while on a day trip to Boca Grande, I see why so many locals rave about such a perfect spot. If you are local, by now you are privy to their decadent treat, but as a newbie to the area, you may need the 4−1−1 on fixing that sweet craving. While enjoying lunch, I asked our server(a true local) where she loves to grab a sweet dessert other than the«key lime pie» craze. She suggested The Inn Bakery. And, after hearing quite a few other patrons discussing their menu, I was hooked and ready to go. A quick walk and you are right at their door. They are in the midst of the hussle and bussle of Boca Grande for a reason. They simply attract people. Walking inside takes you back to a time where a local baker was just as important as the local butcher in town. Their wooden cases boasts treats each baker had been working so hard to perfect that morning. Each cinnamon roll, donut and cake seem like it was perfectly created just for you. And, it really was. As an aficionado of all croissants and sweet treats, I popped in and grabbed a bag of chocolate croissants for my flight home and they did not disappoint. The buttery outer flaky layer was only sitting backseat to the lightly sweetened chocolate center that melted with each bite. It was like biting into a croissant right in Paris, right in the middle of South Florida.

ITISADDICTIVE! On vacation so you go out walking under the Banyan trees, around the quaint town and before you know it, you are at The Inn Bakery EVERYDAY! You dream about the cinnamon rolls, chocolate twists, donut holes etc. They also serve coffees, teas etc. can’t wait to go back!

Fresh baked(in-house) yummy pastries and good coffee! Came here during last trip to Boca Grande and made sure to come back during my current visit. The chocolate twists are my favorite so far and the bf loved his glazed donut this morning. Service is always friendly when I’ve gone in.

I came here twice. My 3 star review is more on service than food and coffee. That part they have down right and they get 5 stars. However, if you are not a local, the attitude of the servers is pretty snooty. After the first trip I decided to give it another try, figuring maybe the server was having a bad day. Next trip, different server, same service. When the locals came in, the attitude changed drastically to all smiles and small talk. I’m not looking for a long conversation, but how about making me feel like my business is appreciated. Not the case here. If Morsels was opened, I would’ve gone there. They seem to have customer service down and make you feel welcomed and appreciated.

Hands down the best place for coffee on the island. Lots of different pastries and tried two types of muffins(both were dry on multiple days). The help is mostly friendly and more so if you visit off-peak.

My review is based on desserts. We ordered slices of red velvet cake, nutella brownies & carmel apple tart to share on Christmas Eve. All three were out of this world. We happened to interact with the manager. She was very friendly and made sure all our needs were met. Can’t wait to try more of their goodies. We’ll be back!

Every time we’re on island, we make it a point to stop by. A must-go in the early morning after a quick run or golf cart trip into town. They have INCREDIBLE donuts — there’s some sort of citrus baked right into the dough! You can’t go wrong with the donut-holes, or if you’re feeling adventurous, they always seem to have some sort of full size creation — banana with candied walnuts, orange with candied fruit topping, etc. They also serve a daily quiche and have a selection of sandwiches and other pastries available. The almond croissant we bought was a little dry, but was a good pairing with the fresh coffees available(my favorite is the coconut… though not always offered, so if it’s there I’d recommend trying it).

As we were walking around the quaint town of Boca Grande, I needed a little pick me up. We saw the Inn Bakery & thought that would be a great place to stop. I had an iced latte which I requested with very little ice. It was delicious, the perfect drink on a warm day. I also had an almond croissant which had mild almond flavor but was flaky and fresh. I really love almond & felt it was lacking in almond flavor. All pastries are homemade on the premises. That is a plus for me. As it was late in the afternoon when we stopped for my treat, the pastry cases were rather empty but that was to be expected. I’m sure first thing in the morning they are full of delightful pastries of danish, muffins, croissants & donuts. They even have cupcakes & small Key Lime pies, cheesecake & eclairs. If you want lunch, I noticed that they serve sandwiches, soup & deli salads. It is a small coffee shop with not much seating inside but they do have a few tables outside. I would come again for a latte & a homemade pastry.

I’m sad to see The Inn Bakery has no reviews. Not to worry, I’ve got one for you! The options of food are great. They have sandwiches, cupcakes(which looked AMAZING), donuts, pastries, etc. They had juices, coffees, and much more for the drinks. I didn’t see ‘frappucinos’ on the menu, but the friendly server told me she could make me ‘whatever I wanted.’ I felt famous. Not really. But it was totally awesome. She made me a vanilla frappucino and it was 100 times better than any Starbucks drink I’ve ever had. Seriously. I had a simple glazed donut and my boyfriend had a cheese danish and a sugar donut. He downed the cheese danish before I even took five bites of my donut… needless to say, the food was great! The service was awesome as well. The server was so nice, and ended up talking to me and my boyfriend about our tattoos and complimenting them. We will definitely be going back before we fly back home. At least once. :)
