So I got a caesar salad because the salmon only came as a BLT. The dressing was great but the lettuce was too yellow. The chicken wrap was okay but the chicken sandwich was good.
But the dessert was yummy. We got the brownie sundae and split it but it’s not too big, can serve one person for sure.

The best thing about this restaurant is the fact that they offer food and drink on what appears to be a popular beach area. We arrived about 4:45 for snacks and drinks, and apparently 5:00 is the time when the evening crew comes on. We got our own drinks at the bar, which was fine, but when we decided we wanted to a couple of snacks, it was hard to get a server. Once we placed our order, it took a half hour to get coconut shrimp and chips & guac. That wouldn’t be an issue if the place was packed, but ours was the only food order as we were the only people there! Not sure what was going on in the kitchen, because another table sat down and got their food in less than 10min. Rather disappointed.

First things first: you come here for the view. The restaurant has outdoor seating that spills right onto the beach, with amazing sunset views over the Gulf (see picture).
The drinks were fairly strong but small in size. Our meal was only average, and considerably overpriced for the quality. $ 32 for a scallop dish, with slightly undercooked rice and smaller sea scallops. From my families reviews of their meals, it’s better to order something on the more casual fare, as they spoke highly of the grouper tacos and fried grouper sandwich.
All in all worth it to come in for a sunset — but maybe just spring for drinks in the beach chairs.

Great location, great food, decent atmosphere. To start, the parking is a bit frustrating, not enough spots for the amount of guests the restaurant can accommodate. We had to park about a half mile down the road, for us it was no biggie, but could be difficult for older people or guests with small children.
It was a bit busy and the service was a tad slow, however our waitress was very nice and accommodating. I got the blackened shrimp wrap which was very good and reasonably priced.
I would definately reccommend, just maybe at a not so busy time.

This is a bar near a beach, but it is not a Beach Bar. If you want to eat or drink here, please be advised of the following rules:
1. There are lots of colorful tables and chairs on the sand. You will not be served there. To be served, see rule 2. To use the tables, see rule 3.
2. Servers only go as far as the covered patio. To enter the covered patio and indoor area, see rule 4.
3. You may use the tables if you are a customer, but cannot order from them. To order, proceed inside and order from the bar. However, see rule 4 before attempting this.
4. To set foot on the covered patio and indoor area, including the bar, you need a shirt and shoes.
5. If ordering anything to take out of the restaurant to the colorful tables and chairs, please see rules 6, 7, 8, and 9.
6. No food may be taken outside of the restaurant to the colorful tables. It may be taken «to go,» and may be taken to the beach, but not the colorful tables.
7. Drinks may be taken outdoors, but see rules 8, 9, and 10.
8. Drinks may be taken the colorful tables, but only in plastic cups.
9. Drinks may not be bought for anyone other than the person at the bar. To order two drinks, two individuals need to be present, at the bar. See Rule 4 for restrictions on this.
10. Drinks may not be taken to the beach.
With these rules in hand, your experience should go swimmingly! Just be careful and don’t make any mistakes. The staff can be a bit surly, and seem to be generally annoyed with any customer that appears to have been on there beach recently, or who doesn’t already have an intimate understanding of The Rules.

A great location a must stop when guests are in town, or a romantic stop for lunch or dinner. the sun set is perfect, food and service outstanding. Try the Boca salad with sea scallops and the famous grouper sandwich. Bön appetite

Food was excellent, friendly staff, view was perfect! Will definitely take the hour ride for the combination of atmosphere, food and view, very relaxing. A must try restaurant. They are under construction but one cannot tell … It’s still worth it. Enjoy! I know we did!!!

Great place in a great location right on the beach! We had the opportunity to find this location during a brief rainstorm and boy are we glad we found it. My wife had a fried green tomato BLT sandwich which she craved the minute that she left. We had a coconut shrimp appetizer which was very flavorful and abundant. I had the special of the day which was a grilled mahi sandwich that had a lot of flavor and came with vegetables and seasoned french fries which were top notch. Definitely worth stopping in.

We were very impressed with South Beach restaurant. It has a great location. Right on the beach! A great place to go for the day. A great bar scene. We went at night and the meal was delicious. I had a wonderful Caesar salad and Grouper Gaspar. It was marinated with artichoke hearts and onions in a lemon sauce. Another person in our party had fish tacos which she said were good. The restaurant is out towards the pass. Definitely eat there or go for a drink when on the island.

There is one reason to come here and one alone.
The sunset.
Its noisy beach scene is expected; its heavy carnivore and carb fatty menu– ok, they aren’t enlightened; its greasy table tops and cheesy artwork, yep I know, it’s a beach joint… But the service and prices — really? Really?
The sunset is priceless though… And it’s the only option in that area with that view.

The atmosphere is the most casual on the island but the food is pretty average and over priced for something that’s not a daily fresh catch. Best place to watch sunset. Adirondack chairs on the sand with strong drinks. I feel satisfied overall.

The Grouper Sandwich was very good, and this is the last restaurant on the island, however the Hostess was extremely RUDE and OFFENSIVE that no one should ever expose themselves to such ugliness. Therefore I can only give this place 1 star.
Our waitress, on the other hand, was delightful.
The beer was cold. You are literally on the beach. But, we were so offended by the Hostess that the entire experience was ruined.
I might peek in, in the future, but if the RUDE dirty blond hostess is still there, I’ll go somewhere else. And so should you !

It doesn’t look like much but this place is great! A must-​go everytime we come into town. Sitting outside (patio) is a MUST. Beautiful view of the beach while you eat, outdoor tables with umbrellas and Adirondack chairs to sit in while you drink a margarita… the most delicious Seafood Chowder (and we are chowder snobs)! We also had the Chicken Pomodoro Sandwich, Fried Grouper and the Shrimp-​cargot and nothing was a disappointment! Highly recommended!
(Seriously though, order the chowder already…)

Ultimate grouper sandwich was amazing! Cuban sandwich was good. The tuna appetizer and onion rings were great!!!

Unbeatable. … Great food and drinks. The location is just crazy. Walk right out to the most photogenic view you’ve ever seen. Great blackened grouper tacos … Make the trip. And get out there.

THAT VIEW THOUGH! If you happen to be in Boca Grande, and you happen to want a tasty fresh fried fish sandwich and an ice cold beer to watch the sunset, well this is the only place to do it. Cause your in Boca Grande. This was our second time here, and it was just as good as the first. After your meal, walk out to the beach and watch the most romantical gulf coast sunset around!
