Sinclair’s Restaurant

If I could give less than one star this place would have been it. We sat for about ten minutes before our server even approached the table. Drinks came back and 20 minutes later we had to leave because they apparently didn’t want my money. I sincerely hope an owner sees this and fixes the problem. I really wanted to give the food a chance, sorry sinclairs. I won’t be back.
The home made chips were boring, After seeing the menu I expected more.

I wouldn’t step foot in here again if you paid me. With no explanation the manager assaulted me by grabbing my arm and pushed me out the door.

Went there for lunch. Environment was decent, appeared as though they were going for high end and just missed the mark, as their style of the tables and chairs was that of a classy diner. Overpriced for the food and service that we received. Places like this need to find ONE THING that they do great and then do that. People will rave and come back simply because it’s one of the only nicer restaurants in Blue Springs. Better bang for your buck next door at Real Jalisco.

So this place. What a gem. It’s in a tiny strip mall but when you walk in, it’s very pretty inside.
They serve you home made chips at your table and my kids love them. I’ve ordered several things and love every one. Portion sizes are great and the price is on point as well.
Their Oso sand which is amazing and highly recommended. My husband loves their salmon Caesar. The street tacos and beer cheese soup rule my life as well.
Give it a try. You won’t regret it.

This place is absolutely delicious! Great food and drink specials as well. I recommend this place to anyone :)

I have tried Sinclair’s 3 times now. I want to like it but can’t. I have tried 3 different things and all 3 times they were drowned in oil. Salmon shouldn’t be slimy and oily. Spinach and artichoke had good flavor but was very cold in the middle. Usually service is alright but last night was horrible. She was rude. Stared at us while we somewhat ate and while we paid. Wasn’t friendly at all.

Nice quiet restaurant but honestly the food was just ok, nothing that I honestly need to go back and have again.

Figured we would give this place a try, im always up for something new, the food was amazing, and the service was great, wish I knew our servers name so I could give her props for being a awesome attentive server, im a server myself so I know what a good server is when I have one, great music, quiet, food made from scratch, we will be back!

Still not good. Went back again, and was not any better at all. Booooo, make the food taste better, and get snazzier help. Food tastes old this time as if they assembled out of ingredients that were sitting around all day.

We went here on a groupon last night with a party of 12 (6 kids!). We made a reservation beforehand and the minute we walked in, we were greeted by the owner with a smile and lots of humor. The atmosphere was contemporary and well done, and the wait staff was very friendly as well. Food was great too! I had the crab cake n Caesar salad and my husband had the swordfish tacos. Both great choices. The calamari appetizer was phenomenal with hand breaded tempura batter. All of our meal choices at the table were great! Even the kids Mac n cheese! We will definitely be back again.

I must give this restaurant another chance. It just wasn’t my night. I ordered an appetizer, the spinach artichoke dip which was delicious but immediately following the arrival of our appetizer came our entrees. The fish and chips were not good. I’ll try something else on my next visit. Service was good. Our waiter was quite attentive and quick with a refill.

Came here a couple weeks ago, very intimate vibe and small yet not cramped, just perfect. Food was simple enough yet delicious. You can tell this place is authentic and run by amazing people. The owner came out to talk to us and greet us. Great service all around. Come support the local business and try it out.

Fresh ingredients, made to order, from scratch, you can’t beat it!!! I had the crab cake ceasar and was pleasantly surprised at the smokey flavor of the dressing. Homemade chips, yes please!!!

When I consider whether or not to give 5 stars it has to do with more than just the food. I look at price, atmosphere, friendliness, cleanliness, location, ease of access and more. That said, I thought the Fish and Chips that I ordered at Sinclair’s Restaurant was excellent. I was also impressed by the homemade potato chips that are served free to every diner. They were not salted which in my opinion made them even better. The fish was very fresh and only lightly battered served with homemade fresh cut fries. There were 3 large pieces of fish and plenty of fries which made for quite a potato festival with the added free homemade potato chips. Service was fast and friendly. The décor was classy while at the same time comfortable. The parking was a breeze. I will definitely return.

Love Sinclair’s! It’s a warm, homey feeling restaurant where the owner is always here and everyone really does know your name. They take time to chit chat and really get to know their customers. They truly appreciate the business and they show it. We like watching the games here because the spirit is in the air but it’s not ungodly, unbearably loud like a sports bar. Service is good and the fresh, homemade food never disappoints. We like the calamari, hummus, crab cakes. The French dip is the best I’ve found in the metro and my husband can’t get enough of the key lime pie! (I don’t like sweets or key lime pie and I LOVE Shane’s key lime!!)
Bonus! They don’t go all cheap and give you lime slices (how the hell do you squeeze a slice for your beer??), they do lime wedges, a must for any drink.
Check it out, you won’t be disappointed!

Always great food and great service. Austin is the kind of server you want… always there when you need him, but not intrusive and says yes, sir/​yes ma’am.

This restaurant is reaching it’s one year anniversary and I have to say that the early reviews kept me away.
If you haven’t been over for dinner in the past 3 – 6 months, I highly recommend you give it a second try. The owner paid close attention to his feedback on Unilocal and based on my first visit, I would say he is doing tremendous work!
My kiddos visited the restaurant with their grandmother a few weeks ago and they have been raving ever since. «Mom, we have to eat at Sinclairs!» I gave in and I’m glad I did.
Drinks: Awesome selection of cocktails. I tried the Bulldog Smash and it was TASTY! Reminded me of the lovely cocktails I get at Louie’s Wine Dive. Well done on that libation!
Appetizer: Buffalo Dip… it’s what you would expect and tasted like what I make at home. Nothing extraordinary but still tasty.
Meals:
French Dip: Anytime we go out to eat and this is on the menu, it’s what my 13 year old daughter orders. She loves this sandwich. When I asked her what she thought of it, she said «the meat was sooooo good.» I tried a bite and I have to admit, it was tender, juicy, and sliced thin which made the texture enjoyable. She and my son are both fans of the fries at Sinclairs. True potato taste!
Sinclair Burger: Our 11 year old son ordered this and it is his «old standby» at any location. I would assume this is not the showcase item on the menu but it was good enough the boy cleaned his plate. Again, all he could talk about was how yummy the fries were.
Honey Peppered Salmon: This was my order. There are times when I get really excited for salmon and I’m let down by something boring or overly fishy. This was the best salmon I’ve ever had aside from dining coastal. It was sweet… if you don’t like sweet and savory you might try something else. It was delightful and the mashed potatoes and green beans were flavorful.
I WILL BE BACK AND THIS WILL BE MY CHOICE… EVERY TIME.
Rustic Pizza: My husband decided to try the pizza. He left the table for a few minutes after ordering and the food came while he was away. The kids and I took a slice of pizza and hurriedly passed it around each taking a bite. We put that piece back on his plate. That’s our family… silly! He laughed and we all complimented his choice. Pizza is hard to not enjoy and it was pretty good. He felt it was a good choice.
During this visit we found we could text to join a list for restaurant updates and get a free desert. We ordered the strawberry shortcake and then added an order of the donuts. These were all shared around the table and the donuts were the crowd favorite. The shortcake was great but there is a slight taste of liquor that the kids didn’t enjoy. We would order donuts to share again.
A lot has been said about the atmosphere. It’s a nice place with awesome refurb lighting and candles on tables. There was a musician playing when we arrived and it was quite enjoyable.
The owner is listening and pays close attention to Unilocal.Please give him an opportunity to continue to incorporate your feedback. I complimented his awareness of the app and gave him these same rave reviews in person. Well done. We hope you stay in Blue Springs for many years.

We gave this restaurant a try soon after it 1^st opened. There we’re difficulties with service and we were split on the food. Regardless, we were not impressed.
Our 2^nd trip, we called ahead for reservations as there were 10 of us. The evening was full of problems. Getting or drink orders correct were a challenge. We all agreed the food was less than average. Since it was my birthday, I ordered the Apple Crisp. I was shocked that it was still frozen in the middle!
In the months from opening to our 2^nd visit, the staff still couldn’t operate the electronic ordering /​billing devices. Settling our bill was a nightmare and took quite a long time. Yes. We were clear about who was who & which bill items should be charged.
We won’t be going back.

Came in with a group for drinks and it was amazing! Great beers on tap and awesome mixed drinks. We will for sure be going back!

I can’t think of anywhere like this in the area, the reason I keep coming back. House made delicious food, not a microwaving chain restaurant. I used a groupon to order the honey peppered salmon, garlic mashed potatoes and Mac n cheese instead of wild rice and asparagus. I need the recipe for what cheeses they put in their Mac n Cheese, it’s the best I’ve ever had! The lady and I have returned many times. Service is always great, food sometimes takes too long but it’s house made to order so I’m not complaining! If anything is ever slightly wrong the management more than takes care of it. Everyone please come eat here so my favorite restaurant in Blue Springs stays open! Lol
