I have now been to Brown Dog 5 times since they opened and can’t wait to go back again where it continues to feel special each time! The new restaurant is very stylish, classy yet comfortable/casual and has a great vibe as part of the beautiful Summit Park in Blue Ash. My favorites so far include the house salad with either salmon or chicken(now that’s what chicken is supposed to taste like), the paella, and even the«burned» carrots, yes carrots! I greatly appreciate that the food is served HOT(something that is surprisingly not the case at most restaurants). Twice now Chef McCoy has been the one to serve us our food for that very reason. Don’t leave without dessert! Brown Dog’s plating of their carrot cake is by far the best combination of tastes for this favorite of mine. I’m excited to see they do catering as well. I’ll be taking guests there frequently!

What a pleasant surprise! In a new location in Blue Ash at Summit Hill Park, bright and open, in a park setting, the food is as delicious as the surroundings are pleasing. Service was fast and efficient as well as friendly. We each had a salad and the charcuterie plate, with artisanal cheese, seasonal pickled vegetables and housemade ham prosciutto and sausages. Everything was fresh and innovative and delicious. Another pleasant surprise was the depth of the beer and wine and cocktail selection! Best of all, though, was the welcoming atmosphere from the staff, led by manager Brian, who made us feel as though we were not guests, but family. Many thanks for a great experience, we’ll be back next time we’re in Cincinnati.

Looks like they have moved from a crappy stop plaza to really nice location. The food has always been superb and they must have a better kitchen. Looking forward to our next visit.

The new location for Brown Dog Café is amazing! The lunch special was a hit: pistachio crusted mahi mahi on a bed of mixed vegetables with a curry sauce. Will be back again soon! Great bourbons and whiskeys too — even Bookers Rye — wow!

It was ok. We were underwhelmed… It’s way over priced, the wait for our food was way too long and the plating was messy. Not sure if I would go back. Did they change staff???

We saw the good notices about this place at their old site, but didn’t get around to trying it until they moved. Finding it was not that easy. It is in a new development on the old airport site which is still under construction. There is no signage visible from the road, and only temporary signs helping to guide you in once you make it to the parking lot. The place is well back from the road with a door sign the only marking. Once you find it, the rewards are manifest. It’s quite sleek and modern inside, a big step up from their old spot, and large enough for 100 seats. The concept is gastropub, so they offer upscale food and drinks at a price point that demands they execute well. For the most part they do. We had a strawberry basil mojito and a Two Hearted Ale on tap, and ordered up charcuterie plate and a duck entrée with gnocchi with truffled parmesan asparagus. All of the food was spot-on, and the duck was especially delicious. Our server seemed unsteady with the menu, but he tried hard to please. It was a good experience, and it was worth the price. Still it is high enough that we’ll keep it in the splurge column.
