After I got off work I decided to check this place in Cornell out, and overall, it wasn’t that bad. As soon as I walked in I noticed that you had to grab a menu, pick what I want, and order at the register(Confusing but I figured it out). The lady was nice and took my order right away. A few moments later and my food finally arrives(I got the classic smash). The food was pretty good for a burger joint in my opinion, so I wouldn’t mind coming back again during the day sometime.

I always like Smashburger… For the most part they’re pretty consistent and I usually have a good experience there. I went against the flow today and ordered a SALAD. At a BURGERPLACE. Crazy, I know. I ordered the Baja Cobb Salad with Smash Grilled Chicken. Tasty, huge, and filling as always. I could almost hear the group with me gasp as it arrived at the table(last, of course, to increase the drama). I worked my way though the salad, and found my familiar friends. Green and red lettuce, spinach, a nice bouquet of different greens. Delicious fresh bacon chunks, tender grilled chicken strips(still in the shape of the original party), fresh green jalapeños(like, bright green– these guys are spankin’ new!). My only confusion was when I ran into two red cabbage butts(the stem– whatever you call it) — sure, it has fiber, but I didn’t think that was supposed to be served. Anyways, it was good. Impress your friends here by ordering a salad and putting all their boring old burgers to shame!

Today I hit Smash for lunch. I’m not the biggest on chains, or chain burger places. But a friend recommended I at least give the Smashchicken a shot. The most appealing was a Smashchicken with avacado. This also comes with ranch AND mayo, plus bacon, lettuce and tomato. I ordered this sandwich grilled. I told them to hold the ranch and mayo. I also asked for buffalo fries and an oreo shake. The shake came out first, and was pretty good. Smooth and creamy with that eloquent cookies-&-cream taste. The sandwich and fries came out together. The toppings and meat(s) were on separate pieces of bun so I could add whatever I wanted in the middle. The sandwich itself was tasty… but I admit that a flattened piece of chicken was lacking in the texture and juiciness departments. The fries were good, but nothing really special. Overall this experience gets a 3 because I mainly went here because it was close, and the meal itself was decent, but nothing really stood out.

I love Smashburger, and this location is no different. Service was friendly and fast. I love my normal order– Truffle Mushroom Swiss, Smashfries, and an Honest Tea. I came with my family, and the kids were occupied with their crayons and activity sheet. The bathroom does not have a changing station, just to note. I’ll be back!

Moderately disappointed with the service. I ordered online, which was very nice and smooth. Went to go get it, and the first thing I noticed was that the name and order on the side of the bag(hand written) was not correct(incorrect name and order). I informed the server of this and he asked me if I’d ordered a salad, I said yes, he said it was right he had just switched bags. I said ok, and walked out. I double checked the burger once I got into the car… What I ordered: — Grilled Chicken Avocado Club on a gluten free bun with a side salad. What I received: — Regular beef patty Avocado Club on a regular bun with a side salad. I went back in and had them correct the club. They were quick in correcting it. He handed it back to me. I checked it again when I got to the office. What I received: — Grilled Chicken Avocado club with 0 Avocados on a gf bun with a side salad with 0 dressing. I’m eating the sandwich anyways. It tastes fine but since I do have a gluten sensitivity, I will not be eating here again in the off chance they royally screw up my order again.

So I ordered a black bean burger and fries, and my girlfriend picked it up on the way home. When she got home, I took a bite into the burger and SURPRISE!!! It’s not a black bean burger. It’s a meat patty. I’m vegetarian and have been for years, so that didn’t go over too well. The store is close-ish, but too far away to dedicate the time and gas to return the food… Seeing as how I am always searching for quick and tasty veggie options, this place is officially off my list. Thanks for wasting my money.

There’s nothing I dislike about this place. Everyone was so friendly, attentive, and funny. The food was fresh, and tasted fantastic. I paid about $ 11 for a create your own crispy chicken sandwich with spinach, jalpenos, onions, bacon and cheddar cheese and a side of fries. The chicken was steaming as I took a bite, the cheese slightly melted from the heat, the spinach was green as could be and the bacon tasted like –oh my god– REAL bacon! I actually came back to try a milkshake later on. It was probably the best milkshake I’ve ever had. I ordered the cookies and cream and the cashier explained to me that normally in the vanilla shake they add some extra vanilla flavoring but they normally don’t for the cookies and cream, then offered to put some of the extra vanilla flavor in my shake! He said he thinks it tastes better that way, and boy was it good. Everyone there is fantastic and wonderful, and they all seem to take a lot of pride in their work. Definitely coming back.

Looking for some grub before taking the kids to the park. A friend suggested Smashburger. Many options to choose from. Selections may be customized to fit your tastebuds. Fresher than your typical fast food burger joint. The lettuce was crisp, and bright. Tomatoes were sliced thick, and looked as though they had just been cut. I thoroughly enjoyed the egg bun. It held up well without being too bready. The subtle egg flavor really rounded out the burger. The meat is thin; thicker than Steak n’ Shake’s. The burger wasn’t greasy. It was an all around good burger. The kid’s burger, and chicken strip meals looked fresh as well. A number of drinks to choose from. There are Coke products, and three flavors of Honest tea. This one is worth going back to.

The first thing I noticed was what a clean location this was and that there were a lot of options on the menu. You start out choosing between a regular burger, big burger, grilled/crispy chicken or a black bean burger. Next, you can select between buns that are multi-grain, classic egg, chipotle or(I was happy to see) a gluten-free one. Besides deciding on sauces, toppings and cheeses, there are premium add-ons: smoked bacon, crimini mushrooms, guacamole, fried egg or my favorite — sliced avocado. My daughter preferred the Truffle Mushroom Swiss Burger and I got the Avocado Ranch Black Bean Burger. They were good, not great, but what I did like were the very tasty rosemary sweet potato fries! Another plus was that the manager really seemed to care about the happiness of the customer and that they bring your food to the table. If you are vegetarian or are just in the mood for a salad, there are four: spinach, cucumber & goat cheese, harvest and two types of cobb salad. Got little ones with you? They can order a kids meal which consists of a burger, chicken strips, hot dog, or grilled cheese accompanied with fries plus a soft drink. For just a little bit extra, they could settle upon organic milk or juice instead. If you have a hankering for something sweet, not only did their hand-spun milkshakes look yummy, but there were many varieties: chocolate, vanilla, strawberry, oreo, nutter butter, peanut butter & jelly, salted caramel, or butterfinger. One thing I didn’t care for was that it was so cold in there that we had to keep our coats on, although to be fair it was fairly frigid outdoors that day.

Has great food, they move quickly. My wife at some point was getting annoyed because they will constantly check up on you to make sure everything is great with your food and it is what you expected. I like this and believe more places should focus on this kind of thing, you can tell the company really stresses this. I order for lunches at work every other week for 3 – 9 people. They are always fast /on-time, label every lunch bag, the manager(younger guy) always throws in some coupons, a drink if I get there early to pickup, or does something above and beyond. Very happy with the service and will keep going back.

I got the jalapeño spicy baja sandwich and it’s pretty good. Go for the large burger because it’s about average size for a burger. The fries are good and it’s all relatively inexpensive.

The burger was great! Fries were over salted. You might have to tell them to go easy on the salt

This burger did not live up to the hype. It was okay but not spectacular. The fries were too greasy. It was too expensive to pay for a meal that only tastes average.

I got the bacon bbq burger and it was good. Smashmouth serves good burgers and I like their smash fires — french fries tossed with garlic, rosemary, and olive oil. Again, the burger was good but great — not so much. This place serves as a great alternative to McDonald’s, Burger King, and Wendy’s.

Craving fries, so I decided to try this place after reading the reviews about SmashFries — garnished with rosemary. We walked in and were promptly greeted. Very friendly staff. I intended to split an order of SmashFries and Sweet Potato fries with my son(ummm…who’s 2, so I’m not sure«split» is the right word here…). Lesson learned! I should have gotten him his own order of SmashFries. He loved them! We didn’t order burgers but I definitely wanted to after seeing the menu. Looked delicious. I couldn’t tell though how many of them could be made veggie? Maybe if I had studied the menu more? Considering the ingredients involved, I felt the prices looked pretty fair(about $ 5 – 7 for a burger, $ 2 for fries). I mean, this ain’t McDonalds. I think my only complaint about the fries was the portion size, especially the sweet potato fries. I felt like not many fries fit in their to-go cups!

It’s a hamburger chain, but the hamburgers are so delicious and not processed. Its a flat patty which is not too thick and not too flat. I did the build your own burger which I got sharp cheddar cheese, extra pickles, lettuce, on an egg bun with their signature smash sauce. The smash sauce has a great taste with a hint of relish, honey mustard and little horseradish(not sure what their recipe, but it’s my guess). They serve either shoe string fries or sweet potatoe. You can also get onion strings as a sid They also serve chicken sandwiches if you don’t feel like eating red meat. Pricing is reasonable. This place is really clean. Staff is friendly and quick. Love it here! This place is awesome!!!

Although this was on the«list to try» of places, a Groupon came, and that ultimately made us come here(it was low on the list.) The location is on a weird corner of a building that makes it kind of hard to catch where we were coming from, and the parking is funny because of the corner too. SmashBurger was decorated in the same kind of feeling as a normal Chipolte-esque chain of this type — track lighting, hung things from the ceiling, cool industrial. We walked in and missed the menus that were on our wall to the left and just walked straight to the counter, where the only have small versions of the menu on the cash register. We both just ordered burgers(1⁄3 lb) with grilled onions and sharp cheddar cheese — one with an egg bun, one with a wheat bun. I got smash fries, my husband got the haystack onion rings. To top it all off, my husband got a haagen-dazs chocolate milk shake. The burger itself was okay — they literally do «smash» it. The meat was of fine quality, perhaps a little too seasoned but I liked it fine. We kind of compared it to the Steak and Shake steak burgers in our talk — they were very similar in our opinion. The cheese, which was not sharp cheddar, was okay — tasted like a melted Kraft slice and not worth 75 cents. The onions were also okay — I don’t like when the skin of the onion is cut into and grilled up with the good part, I just view it as an over sight. Kind of annoying. The bun was delicious though! The rest of the burger was just okay — nothing I’d go back for at all — but that bun was delicious. Both buns — the multi-grain and egg bun — were really good. I got the smash fries and was excited as they do look good. Another reviewer here did not like them(I read reviews before I go) but I decided maybe it was an off day for her, and well, why not? Well, they were… disappointing. They were smothered in buttery garlic and were somehow just greasy and bland. I took most of what I got home just for kicks. My husband’s onion rings, on the other hand, were pretty good. Really thin, crispy onion rings in a light, well seasoned batter with just a tad bit of spice — probably so little most wouldn’t notice but I am not very tolerant with spicy foods so I notice the littlest bit. The milkshake was good — my husband loved it as it was very creamy and thick — I thought it was not very chocolately and kind of just tasted like melted ice cream, but was good. Now, all that being said, let’s talk about how the prices are for a place that doesn’t even give you waiters or anything. If we had not had a 12 dollar groupon(which we did pay 6 dollars for I suppose) we would have paid 23 dollars. The burgers are around 5 – 6 dollars once you get cheese, sides are about 2, drinks about 2, the milkshakes about 4. It’s just not worth it to me. I can go elsewhere and get the same thing for about the same price in a better atmosphere where someone serves me. There are so many better burger places around that are better priced and better tasting. I’m not saying not to try this place — if it’s around you go for it — but don’t go out of your way.

So, the BF and I decided to try out the new Trash… uh…SmashBurger by our house. Unfortunately, we were sorry that we did. I had looked at the menu before deciding to go there to make sure that they had something for me to eat. They have a black bean burger. After reading the menu I was excited to try the smash fries that have rosemary, olive oil and sea salt… they sounded so good. SmashBurger is sort of like Five Guys, except they give you a number and bring your food to your table. I ordered the black bean burger with avocado and swiss and the Smash Fries. The BF ordered the All American burger and the regular fries. Our food came pretty quickly. When I got my burger, I realized they weren’t kidding when they called it SmashBurger. My black bean patty literally looked like smashed black beans. I took a bite and was not impressed. The smashed beans seemed to be held together by some overly salty seasoning and not much else. I eagerly tried the smash fries only to be hugely disappointed. First, the fries are skinny, so lack a lot of potato flavor. Unfortunately, they were also overly salty in flavor and quite greasy from too much olive oil. What seemed like a fantastic concept for the Smash fries turned out to be a big flavor bust. I could tell that the BF didn’t really care for the burger. He said it was dry and didn’t have any flavor. He actually said that the burger at Five Guys was better… and I know he didn’t like that one. His regular fries also were not very good. It cost a little over $ 20 for two burgers, fries and two sodas… which would’ve been fine if the food had been good. So, if you’re thinking about trying SmashBurger, save your money and head for the golden arches… you’ll be much happier and richer.

I am surprised this business doesn’t exist on Unilocal, but I’m happy to be the first to review it! This Smashburger is new and recently opened, which is great for my co-workers and me. Now we have another option other than Chipotle or Panera for some yum lunch. I was a Smashburger virgin until today, so if you want read about my first experience, read on… This Smashburger is off of Reed Hartman Hwy, but it’s kind of tucked away and doesn’t stand out too much from the street. Upon arrival, I step out of the car to find that it is PACKED inside. It’s not even officially noon yet, but when our party of five arrive and get in line, we extend the line out the front door. Crowds = good sign You come in, order at the register, and take your table tent number to a table. They bring your food to you, and there are napkins, ketchup, and mustard on the table for your convenience. The menu is fairly straightforward. They have their burgers, toppings, sauces(including chipotle mayo), and sides. If you don’t eat beef, don’t worry, because yes, they have chicken burgers. Their beef patties are 100% Angus beef, and the burgers come in 3 sizes(Big Smash, Smash, and Little Smash). Okay, I might be off on the actual terms a bit, but you get the idea. Let me say that the food was amazing, and being an In-n-Out lover, I don’t get«wowed» by other burgers easily. Prices are decent. Scratch that. Prices are excellent for what you get. Let me give you a sample of my order today: Regular Classic Burger —- 4.99 Sweet Potato Fries —- 1.99 Fountain Drink —- 1.79 Total after tax = under ten bucks. Did my colleagues enjoy it? Perhaps. We didn’t talk for like 10 minutes straight after getting our food. Chew. Swallow. Chew. Swallow. Evidence enough of yummy food? I think yes.
