Poor customer service by management before we could even have our event in the restaurant. Chose to move out venue location after no response from management to multiple communications. No attempt to rectify or acknowledgement of issue either.

This experience wasn’t great. I’ve eaten here a number of times and the service keeps getting worse and worse. All of it is based on the increasingly inattentive service. Servers who disappear or bring incorrect items. It’s easy to get busy but when they have just two four tops it’s really hard to overlook. And the other table didn’t order drinks so it wasn’t a bar service issue. I hated the new Cajun shrimp and mushroom dish. I like Cajun, shrimp, and mushrooms but this combo had a different taste and I didn’t like it. I ate two forks of the dish. Poor choice on my part. Nothing was wrong with it, I just didn’t like it. However, when everyone else has cleaned their plates and I have a full bowl of food, I would think that the server would notice and make a comment or ask a question. She asked me if I wanted a box and when I replied«no» she took the bowl without comment. My mom’s ribs were good and the shrimp appetizer was good. It’s too bad that the service is not executed well. I usually don’t care and I focus on the meal but this time it mattered.

It wouldn’t let me type in a half but this is a 4.5 star place. I really enjoy the good and service is pretty good. It’s a nice date night place or a good business casual restaurant. It’s more expensive than a chick-fil-a but hey, it’s quality quantities. Good selection, and love the steak. Ribs aren’t bad either. Go there on your birthday and give you a free bottle of sauce! Which was nice, and it is good place for this town.

We stopped at Tony Roma’s today for lunch. I had heard that they had a good lunch at a decent price and wanted to check it out. The lunch menu had several options for $ 8 each, but we both opted for the unlimited soup and salad. Our waitress brought us our soups and some warm crusty bread in a timely manner and both were very tasty. Our salads came out while we finished up the soup. We both ordered the harvest wedge and all I can say is yum! I think this is my new favorite salad! The wedge was dressed with a light citrus dressing and generous amounts of apple, cranberries, pecans and blue cheese. During our meal we were checked on several times and we were offered refills, but none were needed. The generous salad and soup were more than satisfying, but knowing that you can have more is nice. We will definitely return to Tony Roma’s for lunch at a reasonable price.

Tonight’s experience was one of my top 3 worst dining events in Bloomington. Will not go back until I hear it’s better. The restaurant served my dinner guest his wine nearly 15 minutes before I received my romaritta. To top it off, they were out of the shakers they serve with the glass full– so I got less cocktail than usual– but paid full price. The waitress seemed disinterested– I got up to get my own straw and she mostly checked on us half way through our meal, literally, to see if we wanted dessert– and then brought the check when half our food was consumed and while we were half through food and drinks. My entrée, chicken stack with spinach, was not as good as it use to be either. Not planning on going back until I hear both service and food is better. Oh– we were there 6:30 to almost 8pm and the entire place was half full. Not a good sign for this«eat out crazy» town. Hope we don’t lose this place– just get better soon!

Great service for our party of 4 this evening from our server Tommy. All of our meals, salmon — ribs — chicken — shrimp scampi, turned out great. Also had the 3-pick desert which was also very good. We will be back.

I used to love this restaurant. They had the most amazing fried shrimp I have ever tasted in my life. It was my go-to place for seafood. However, they recently removed the fried shrimp from their menu– very disappointing! I won’t return until fried shrimp is offered again.

I went with 2 girlfriends to Tony Roma’s on a Friday night. We were surprised that they were not busier. We got a table right away. Our waiter was an incredibly funny, kind, and personable man. The food was delicious– fried brussels sprouts, filet medallions, and the very strawberry martini was what I had for dinner. While we all enjoyed our food and our particular servers personality, the service was beyond slow. It took 15 minutes to get more water. Dinner ended up lasting almost 2.5 hours– which was mostly service but also gossip time. I would love to see this place survive in Bloomington, but in order to ensure that, the service is going to need to pick up the pace.

Only went for drinks at night and breakfast in the morning but don’t have anything negative to say. The margaritas were excellent and big! The breakfast was really good and felt less greasy. Would definitely recommend.

This place has an incredible atmosphere, very modern, and the food isnt bad. However, the service was worse than Mcdonalds. The waiter and waitress argued with us over combining tables even though the place was empty, they had an attitude the entire meal when requesting anything, not a single person at our table felt that they could request anything or it would take forever and they would get an eye roll from the waiter. I planned on bringing my parents here for a nice meal in the winter when they visit. NOT happenening. Service is everything these days because in this town, every block has a resturant.

Went to Tony Romas last night while visiting my son at College. Service was very slow & my son’s ribs were still frozen! The waitress took them back to the kitchen after we complained. The manager brought them back to our table a few minutes later. No apology or anything. It was evident that they just threw them on the grill, turned them & replated them. It was the same slab, as my son had taken a bite off the end. My filet was ordered medium, but was so well done, it was dried out & had no taste. We will not be going back any time soon.

Spending 3 hours at a restaurant for dinner for 8 is rediculous! The food was delicious but the service was awful. The manager has a lot to learn when he has our waiter having tables outside and also in the back and front of the restaurant. 20 minutes passed by before we recieved our drinks as they sat on the bar the entire time. Then we ordered our meals 10 mins. after the drinks were dropped off. My salad arrived one minute before my meal which is also rediculous! The waiter is not all at fault with the area he had to cover but he was never in a hurry either. The manager should notice these things especially with drinks on the bar so long. He didnt even come to our table to ask how the meal was. Drink refills were few and far between. Its a shame when a place with delicious ribs and ribeye steaks gets a 3 when should have been a 5. Service 1 food 5… so they actually deserve a 2.5 rating if it was possible.

Horrible! They were not busy. Matter of fact there was only one other couple. The waitress took forever to get our orders, took forever to get drinks. Our food got to our table before our appetizer. Food came. The quality reminded me of Denny’s… Tony Roma’s in Bloomington puts a shame to Tony Roma’s period! Shape up or close down!

Mediocre food with a wide variety available on the menu, as I would expect in from a restaurant chain. Everything we had was in the«good, not great» category. I particularly liked the House Burger though, that was pretty tasty. My major pet peeve is that they didn’t list drink prices for mixed drinks(or beer for that matter), and they were a hefty $ 7.95−8.95 for what we ordered – and not particularly good at that. On the plus side, we had great service, and they were super accommodating for our large birthday party. Weirdly, they gave the birthday boy a bottle of BBQ sauce, not a free dessert. But OK, whatever floats your boat. Overall, the experience was enjoyable, but not really worth a repeat performance. I personally miss the old architecture that they’ve stripped to make the contemporary Tony Roma’s, but this isn’t a bad choice if you’re aiming for a chain-type family restaurant.

went in for breakfast because of a coupon in the sales circular. let me tell you, restaurants are rarely bad enough to warrant an actual scathing review from me but jesus on the cross did not die for the sins of this establishment. the waitress couldnt be bothered to notice us which caused the adorable host to get our drinks. refills on those drinks, though, didnt come until after the meal. this was actually a good thing be ause getting our check took 12 mind eroding minutes. the food was average dennys-tier breakfast, for such cheap prices i didnt expect much. sausage was okay amd bacon was an oozing flesh strip of grease. out of two choices of toast, white or wheat, they still managed to get the order wrong. they forgot to bring cream when at long last the drink refills graced our deserted table like the last drops of piss wrought from a dying dehydrated … well. you know. two stars, one for the cool recipe on food network playing on their bar TVs and one because i havent died in an egg based tragedy yet.

Went back this week for lunch. Jill our server was light years ahead of my past experience. She was very attentive. This visit over all was a better experience with one glaring exception: NOHANDICAPPARKING!!! How is that even legal? I asked the hostess and she said«ya…that is a bit of a problem». What the heck? How can they even stay open with no handicapped parking near the door??? Not to mention the hostess was less than helpful. Epic fail for ADA compliance

Friday evening and no wait. Our server Tony was polite and very helpful, he was always there when needed and wasn’t annoying. The food selection was large but not so large to be average. The prime rib was cooked like I asked and the salmon was delicious and you had a choice of toppings. The baked potato was average but the Bacon Mac n Cheese was to die for.

This review is only for the jazz lounge, a couple appetizers, a dessert and the waitstaff. We went and saw live jazz here and it was great. It was great entertainment and added to the atmosphere of the restaurant. The only thing I would change is the size of the room. It was a little cramped since a lot of people showed up. Next, there appetizers are half off if you are in the jazz lounge. We had the spinach & artichoke dip and onion loaf. The dip was what you would expect but fresher. The onion loaf was too oily, but I didn’t expect much from something called an ‘onion loaf.’ It was reminiscent of the bloomin’ onion. My date and I split the chocolate mayhem. It was delicious and could easily feed four. It was a bit rich. The waitstaff is on point here. They are very attentive under pressure and work well with the band that is performing. This place is perfect for dates.

I’ve been to several Tony Roma’s before — but I was very impressed with this location in Bloomington. The food and service was excellent — my waiter was on top of everything before I even thought about it. I had: Seared Tuna — which I really enjoyed Ribs with 2 Filet medallions — all 3 were excellent. You can choose different sauces for all 3(I did carolina honey on the ribs, and onion topping for one medallion and their traditional sauce on the other) But their ribs are the best here.
