Smelly carpets in rooms and hallways, could never bring back a dinner or think about eating there. Old hotel. Hope you don’t have any issues with stairs b/c there is no elevator– I had a heavy suitcase. Looks like a lot of «rough» people come to stay there based on when I was there midweek for three days last month. Would not recommend unless on tight budget.

Decent place! It’s not the Hampton’s, but it will suffice to hang your hat for the night. It’s more of a homey feel then a hotel feel. Complaint: the walls are kinda then. Had several complaints called on us in the room for being noisy.

The room wasn’t very well cleaned. The bathroom smells like mold. The staff seems to be miserable to be here. Will not be staying here again. I guess there’s a reason the parking lot is empty…

I stayed at the Quality in Bloomington while I was looking around at colleges in February. I stayed on a Thursday and Friday night. On Thursday, there were a total of three of us staying in the hotel, which was a little creepy. The staff was nice enough, though. Location: This hotel is right off on the interstate, which was great because I was driving in in a blizzard. However, it is one of the farthest away hotels from IU. Since parking is practically impossible to come by on this campus, this lead to quite a few cab rides– $ 10 — $ 12 in each direction. Do the math. It might be cheaper to get a hotel close to campus. Also, there is absolutely no food near by. So after spending 10 hours straight in a car, I couldn’t even get dinner since the roads were so awful. Free Breakfast: Gross. The cream cheese and butter were in a melted puddle of ice cubes and therefore warm. Not a very good selection since the hotel was dead. Wifi: Doesn’t work with safari. Fail for every mac user out there. Thank goodness for Mozilla. Pool: Cute. Didn’t use it but wanted to. Price: Cheapest hotel that people weren’t complaining about finding bed bugs in. The rooms are spacious and nice, but the walls are paper thin. I think my total for a Thursday and Friday night in Feb was right above $ 201.58 with tax. I would stay here again, but it’s not a hotel to be pampered at. It’s the kind of hotel to go to if you are only planning on sleeping in the room.

Not terrible but not good. The walls are paper thin, which means that on a late Sunday which happens to be Super Bowl Sunday you might hear slow people chatting over a very loud television. I placed a sheet of paper against my wall and that helped muffle the sound. Perhaps if the rate is super cheap and that’s your primary indicator, go for it. It’s all by itself(no food or drinks around) but it’s convenient to 45. The staff seems fine(aka happy to be employed) but it’s an older joint so except tube Zenith television as the room feature. Actually, if the owner didn’t install the world’s ugliest carpet(where do they find such patterns?) and you didn’t see the tv, it would be on par with a Hampton Inn or Fairfield in terms of Bloomington, IN accommodation. Decent bed, pillows, and the bathroom was reasonably clean. There are just a handful of better B-town options.
