The inside of the restaurant has seen better days, but the food is reliable and the service isn’t bad. We came here craving pasta. Olive Garden is in my opinion over-priced and tasteless, so we decided to Green Mill a shot. Their food is usually good and the quality is pretty reliable. And we were right. My wife had the standard Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo. The sauce was super tasty and she got a bunch of chicken with it. The tomatoes that were on top were super fresh and had great flavor. I decided to try their Roasted Red Pepper Spaghetti with Chicken(I never order spaghetti out ever), it sounded great and great it was. It had a red pepper pesto cream sauce that was amazing and I got a large portion of chicken with mine also. Both my wife and I had our pasta cravings satisfied. Thanks Green Mill.

Went their tonight for happy hour. After having one beer and asking what the happy hour specials where. The waitress tells me happy hour is only served in the bar. So I was able to order something I saw online as being on the menu which the waitress said she could give me the HH pricing. I ordered one more bill and was charged full price. So again I asked her if this was the HH price? Which it wasn’t it was very pricey. Also had to hear the staff complaining about each other and being very vocal. Not a very relaxing visit.

A-Ok restaurant and well deserving of a 3⁄5 rating. I ordered the«Western Mill» burger, with a side of fresh fruits. The burger was cooked well and tasted fresh. I was less impressed with the side of fruits. It looked like leftover fruits from a buffet tray. Not sure if the dish was worth the the $ 11 price. It seems like pizza is the main dish, so I will make sure to order it next time. Customer service was alright. Our host was a bit impatient, especially when I asked her to repeat something that she said. The atmosphere felt traditional and conservative as compared to others. Parking is easy since Green Mill shares space with a neighboring hotel. Green Mill is a decent place and I would consider giving it a second try(for their pizza).

Such a great place, I don’t even think of it as a chain restaurant. Love the Diablo wings and deep dish pizzas. I like to go off the map with my toppings and GM is always willing and ready to accommodate. Goat cheese and spicy sausage is my jam there. The service is downright homey and hospitable and parking is never a problem. A good alternative to the mess of randomness at the MOA.

We went for an early lunch and ordered sandwiches. One was the special that day — chicken salad on a croissant with fresh fruit — and the other was the Chicken Adobo Naan Wrap. The restaurant was fairly quiet at 11:30 when we ordered so I was expecting a pretty quick arrival of our food. I was surprised when it arrived 30 minutes later. The wrap was a bit spicy, the chicken perfectly grilled and the naan bread warm, soft and crispy. It was a pretty good sandwich! The fruit was also fresh and you get quite a bit of it. The chicken salad sandwich was also good with fresh grapes, nuts and celery. The server we had was attentive and friendly.

Worst deep dish pizza I have ever had. Crust is bready and dry. Deep dish should be crisp and moist. Sausage was small and very few. Looks like they cut up a sausage link and threw it on the pizza. If deep dish made them famous they have lost their way.

This is my new favorite Green Mill. Went there on a Sunday with my parents. We got there just in time to place an order for happy hour. We had onion rings, garlic bread with mozzarella, flatbread, pizza, quesadilla, and the best chicken cheese nachos! Our server was great and refilled our waters and pop without asking. Full size portions of their happy hour menu which is also amazing! I can’t wait to go back!

Restaurant is attached to the Holiday Inn which makes the stays here a complete package. Both the hotel and the restaurant operate as a team. The food is always good. The service is perfect. Sean — you are the best! Always look forward to my stay here and never needing to drive to find a good place to eat.

Had lunch, tough to get there with the 94th St ramp and 35W bridge closed. I asked which salad was best, Caesar or Stir Frey. Our Server said Stir Frey and I ordered it. The salad was very good but sweet. Pretty standard experience I’ve come to expect from Green Mill.

Very Long Wait! We waited 1 hour for our food. The waitress was clearly working hard to keep up. Somewhere they were understaffed. The pancakes were stiff and cardboard-like. Not worth the wait or price.

This review is solely in regard to the Bloomington location. We eat more often at the St. Paul location, which is MUCH better. I’m not sure what happens to the food that’s cooked here, but it doesn’t turn out the same as other locations at which we’ve eaten. That’s really all I can say.

Stayed in the holiday inn for two weeks and came here probably 10 times(mostly because of convenience) My favorites were the desert fire pasta and the lasagna(which was pleasantly surprising). Always left stuffed. portions are very generous. Everything else I tried was nothing out of the ordinary. lobster mac&cheese: looked like crawfish to me. Shrimp and sausage pasta: not good Walleye tacos: nothing special Deep dish pizza: il primo? Quite tasty Calzone: not bad. Diablo wings: quite tasty Turkey avocado wrap: quite tasty Several of the hosts and waitress were super friendly and helpful. However, two waitresses in particular would disappear and take forever to come back to the table with my check. A good spot to dine at if you’re staying at the holiday inn.

Stayed at the attached Holiday Inn for an early flight out the next AM. Wasn’t sure what to expect, but the free drink for priority club members and the 15% had me checking it out. Was very pleasantly surprised by the vibe of the place and the friendliness of the staff. There was a great mix of locals and travelers. I had a burger and quesadilla appetizer. The burger was cooked perfectly, and everything was as advertised on the menu. Only thing I didn’t enjoy was the Asian slaw. All in all I was very pleasantly surprised and would consider staying at this hotel again because of this restaurant!

Online ordered via their website and never received my food. I used to frequently order online via Green Mills website however recently I ordered and simply never received my food. I called after waiting an hour(yes I received the email confirmation that they received my order) and the manager, Jake, told me they hadn’t even received the order until I called. He said there was a paper jam with the printer that prints the orders. The initial person who answered the phone said they were having problems with the machine when he put me on hold for a manager to begin with. That being said, this was a KNOWN problem and they were continuing to allow customers continuing to order online knowing they didn’t have functioning equipment to receive those orders? Or simply CHECK frequently to ensure potential customers aren’t waiting for food? Poor management! Ultimately, JAKE said he would put my order in pronto but that it would still take half an hour to be delivered. So lame. I’ll never order online with them again. We didn’t end up getting our food until WELL after 10:00pm. We ordered at 8pm. You never know if you’ll get the food you order until your ravished — Don’t order online if you’re hungry.

Ah well, if you are looking for an 80’s restaurant menu, décor and theme you’ve come to the right place. Casual dining and a big menu from pizza to salads to burgers to specials like summer lobster. We dropped by for a quick bite and the service was fast and nice. My walleye special from the menu was burned on the bottom and the green beans were mush. The summer special lime walleye was served with a side of fried tortilla strips and was just ok? Fettuccini Alfredo looked greasy and from a jar. The bread was stale and hard I must say the one highlight the house salad with oregano vinaigrette was delicious. Probably off the list next time we stop in MSP.

I go to Green Mill out of necessity. Are they a pizza place? Are they a pasta place? Are they Italian? Green Mill casts a wide net for whatever ‘American’ food you are looking for whether that be burgers, pasta, or salads. They are a step below Ruby Tuesday’s, but a step above McDonalds. I could see this restaurant being a good solution for parents with picky eaters for children.

My wife and I had a $ 30 Living Social voucher here and we happened to be down in the Bloomington area. The Green Mill is attached to a hotel, but it had about 15 guests in it about noon on a Sunday. The décor is cool, with a lot of TVs lining the walls. The clientele made me feel like I was walking into a real cool VFW. I ordered a big Summit EPA, delish. Then I ordered off their«Healthy» menu, the light chicken pizza, and my wife got the light shrimp salad. Our waitress was cool, not talkative, but just right. Checked on us every ten minutes or so. I ordered another beer for my pizza. Lovely. My pizza came out with plenty of black beans and lovely Mexican style goodness. A little too much cheese for a healthy plate, but who’s going to complain? My wife’s dressing was amazing for her salad and there were a good 20 shrimp on the salad. She really enjoyed it. I can’t explain how awesome the spicy ranch dressing she had was. We asked for an extra serving before we left. Seriously, 2 tablespoons full, and she charged us 60 cents for it. Really?! I would have given it 4 stars if it weren’t for this. Listen I am giving you 20% on your tip, and you are going to cut into your tip for 60 cents?! Wow! Crazy! My wife and I are great tippers and we can’t believe when people dip into their tip over stupid stuff. Oh well, the beer and the food and bread that came with my wife’s salad and my awesome pizza were great. Extra star if she didn’t charge us for a little thing of dressing. Now that is an expensive cup of dressing. Don’t screw people over the little things. It peeves them off.

Well, I remember going to a Green Mill that was attached to our hotel sometime back and I thought it was really great… but this time was such a disappointment… We entered the bar area during happy hour… the prices were not as great as I remembered and the food was just BLAH! We ordered three different types of wings; each was less edible than the last… just terrible terrible flavors… The drink prices were not too great either… PASSONTHISPLACE! You’re not missing much…

Ugh! Definitely not happy. My coworkers and I went to Green Mill in hopes of a good and quick lunch. It was neither. First, the waitress mixed up our drink order; not a great way to start off — 1 star. Then she spilled soup on my coworker — 1 star. Our food took over 25 min to arrive, we ended up asking about it and the waitress said it should be up soon — 1 star. When the food finally arrived, it wasn’t prepared the way it was asked: no onions for one, dressing on the side for another, etc… — 1 star. Lastly, not great — not even ‘good’ quality food. Extremely greasy pizza, salad dressing that was all oil, soup that had chunks indicating the prepackaged quality, etc…(Yes, I know it was Green Mill — maybe we just set our expectations high.) I have had Green Mill in the past and enjoyed my experience. With the renovated Holiday Inn as the location of the restaurant, I had hopes to enjoy our meal once again. Sadly, I wished I had that 1.5 hour back.

This store of the Green Mill chain is part of the Holiday Inn at the same site. It is a casual restaurant with integral bar. The night we were there, American Idol was blaring from every screen in the bar and our decision to eat in the dining room did not help much with the noise level. There is an extensive menu of standard items and a large Italian menu. My wife had mini burgers. She said they were OK — «everything was just OK» I had a half order of Caesar salad, which was itself almost a meal. I also had lasagne bolognese — made with three cheeses — Moscarpone, Ricotta and Mozarella. Sauce was well spiced with adequate meat but did not overwhelm the pasta. Came with mildly spicy garlic bread. We each had a standard maragarita. The bar offers about 50 choices/variations. Lime was bottled and the margarita tasted that way. A 5 on a scale of 10.
