By Hand is a wonderful spot to look for locally made, beautiful art of all kinds: pottery, fiber arts, painting and photography, jewelry. I head there for unique gifts, as far away from the mass-​produced morass at chain stores as possible. My only complaint is that there is not as much turnover as I’d like — it’s reliably and consistently the same artists each time I go in. I love the work they have, but would appreciate some new additions.
