I never have a problem at Pier 1, and love the things I buy. However, today my experience with their customer service was less that acceptable. I asked which register to put my purchase at, and was directed by the salesperson that just got off the phone. Evidently she had to relate something from the conversation because she told me she would be right back. Then I couldn’t find her, but heard her carrying on a friendly, not business conversation with another customer. She saw me waiting, but kept hiding behind a pole thinking I didn’t see her. When I finally got her attention, it still took a minute or two to come back to the counter. And then she didn’t apologize, just kept giving me excuses of why she wasn’t helping with my order. It was clear she was trying to cover up. I hope the powers that be read these reviews, because if I was the business owner I would not tolerate this. Good way for sales to decline, in this day and age. Joyce Podraza

I am a huge pier 1 fan to begin with but thus is by far the biggest and nicest pier 1 I’ve ever been in. They had a great selection and a really great sale going on too. The staff was super helpful with helping me find a great housewarming gift, knobs for a project, a jewelry rack and a few little things for the house. They had more art than any pier 1 I’ve been in. Definitely a great store. I’ll be back!

This is my favorite Pier 1. Amazing customer service and gorgeous selection. Make this location your go to Pier 1. The staff goes above and beyond what most stores do and that’s what keeps me coming back!

The staff is very helpful & caring. They go the extra step to service their customers. The quality of goods is first class… not cheap junk.

i like Pier 1 and have shopped here forever because my mom was a regular during my childhood. Back then, I thought it was eclectic & kinda odd but as I matured, so did my taste & now I love the unique furniture and household items they carry. This store is always clean, the staff is usually attentive and the set-up is typical Pier 1, lots of shelves & floor displays with cabinets filled with dishes, candles & the like. Pier 1 has decent prices, some things are a little more than I’d like to pay but much of the furniture is equal to the prices you’d find at IKea so I don’t think it’s overly priced. I like this location and frequent it for kitchen items mostly.

I recently succumbed to the awesomeness that is Pier 1. It had been years since I was in a Pier 1 but this past Summer they launched a facebook promo where there was a daily deal each day. First day was $ 10 off any $ 10 purchase… score! I printed that baby off and headed to my nearest Pier 1. You can spend hours in this place. I enjoyed it so much that I contemplated getting a part time job there but I think I would be working for free since I would buy everything! Since the facebook promos, I have purchased so much. Christmas ornaments, wall art, a laptop table, a copper cat that is in a yoga pose(cool!), potted grass, pillows, etc. etc. The stuff here is sooo cool! I also love their online pick-up shopping. You can check stock from your local stores, place an order and it will be waiting for you to pick-up. You don’t even have to provide your credit card info which is equally awesome. I have used this pick-up service at all 3 Pier 1’s that are by me. Each time has worked great. There were a few times where something wasn’t in stock but the website said it was in stock. When that happened, I got a call immediately letting me know. This reminds me… it’s been a while since I’ve visited Pier 1.

I was planning to go to the Elmhurst Pier 1 Imports for a Christmas gift but I drove by this store in Bloomingdale so I decided to stop. The 5 stars is based on excellent customer service. There was a staff member at the front door. I asked the where abouts for the item I was interested in. She took me to the location in the store and told me a few things about the items. She also carefully packed the item for me. The wait for a cashier was very short. The store’s displays were creative.

Fresh start, fresh stuff. .. and this Pier 1 was just the place to get it! I was in the process of getting ready to move when I decided to go into this Pier 1 location as they had a piece of furniture I wanted to check out. Not only did I eventually end up with that piece of furniture, but also a bunch of other great finds. Within the next week I was in this location a few times checking things out. The sales associates we’re very helpful and especially when it came to tracking down some hard to find dishes I had wanted. I think they had to called two or three other locations, but in the end they got the job done — and I was grateful. They were also very helpful in coordinating a last minute change when it came to my furniture pick-up. I also like this location because of one of their assistant managers whom has helped me out, on several occasions, achieve the look I was going for even if it meant just giving me some over all decorating ideas(not necessarily purchasing the items from Pier 1 — though I know that is the ideal situation). She has a great eye for combining color and pattern and thinks«out-side-the-box» when it comes to overall home decorating; which I like a lot! All in all, I highly recommend this Pier 1 Imports for all the reasons mentioned above and think you should check them out as well.

I happen to love Pier 1 Imports. One of the things that I enjoy is the overwhelming number of items packed into one store. Whenever I make a purchase there, I feel as if it was this great«find» similar to diving through thrift stores for that one perfect piece. However, this Pier 1 disappointed me. They had very little product compared to other locations. I was in and out of the place in less than ten minutes. Within the same week, I visited two other Pier 1 locations and found Bloomingdale’s to be a striking contrast to both. Far less variety than I usually expect.
