The atmosphere here is cozy. They have a fireplace and there’s tapestries on the wall. They serve bread with a side of hot Italian peppers while you wait for your meal. I ordered a side salad and the eggplant rollatini (dinner portion). The salad was big and fresh and the eggplant was amazing. Great sauce, very cheesy and a large portion. Reasonably priced too. I want to come back to try other items on the menu. If you’re in the area check it out!

I didn’t eat here for 5 years after receiving lousy service. Finally went back.
Tonight, I ordered a pizza at 6:40 PM. It showed up at 7:57, barely warm.

Worse calamari marinara I have ever had especially for the price… Can soda in a restaurant is the most tack thing ever. The marinara sauce taste like can sauce. They should be ashamed to call themselves Italian. I think other nationalities know how to make a better sauce then them. Just horrible … I feel like my Italian side was disgraced. By them. I would never go back or even recommend them. This place will make me look bad … Like it did with my family when I took them their.

Just moved to Bloomfield from jersey city. By far Vinnie’s has the best pizza in New Jersey maybe even the east coast. Fast, friendly service. Cannot wait to try other things on their menu.

I have ordered from every Pizzeria in the Bloomfield Belleville area. Most have nothing special about their food. I love love love coming home to Vinnies food at my door step. It’s prepared like a five restaurant. My favorite dishes are the Cavetille & Broccoli and Eggplant Parmigiana. I can’t eat the broccoli unless it’s cooked well done. So they make it exactly the way I like it. They use the best Italian grated cheese. They may be a couple bucks more than pizzerias around here but definitely worth it. I recommend Vinnies as I just eat and very pleased. Don’t forget the gravy is delish. when the food comes it’s seasoned and looks like a fancy restaurant. They also have a great Pizza and many choices for toppings. once u try it u will have it on speed dail. Five Stars from an Italian who’s used to the best homemade Italian food this is a great compliment.

As the first customer to ever walk thru the doors at the original location I’m happy to see that this fine pizzeria is still going strong. Although I have lived in Calif for the last 36 years I still eat here every year when I return. Best pie in Bloomfield in my opinion. The day they opened back in the early 70’s I was a punk kid living on Bay Ave. Loved it then. Love it now.

We’ve ordered from here before because their wings are better then most pizzerias around us. Today we tried the margarita pizza and as I went for a bite i noticed something stringy — it was a hair under the cheese that was on my slice. I thought I was going to puke it all up. My boyfriend called and what seemed like the manager was a complete asshole. He was upset that we called to complain and ask for a refund and stated he was the one that made it. Okay so? Never will we order from there AGAIN! If you like random hair strands on your slice, go for it. Smh.

Would love to have given the place 5 stars however, when the cook made my wrap, he did NOT wear gloves. He was touching the food with his bare hands. Who knows where his hands have been.
I will never at their again. I was grossed out. The board of health should know about this.

I’ve never eaten in Vinnie’s. I have ordered delivery a gagillion times from them. It’s hit or miss with the food.
Hit:
— penne vodka IF you order extra vodka sauce. They make amazing vodka sauce.
— their bread is FUCKING amazing
— meat sauce
— the balsamic chicken
— cracker crust pizza
— salami sub with the works (ohhhhhhhh)
— white pizza (amazing!)
— did I mention the bread is amazing? Out of this world!
— they deliver WINE! That deserves 5 stars itself
Miss:
— meatballs — and when I say miss they are so bad my dog won’t eat them. Husband does though
— spaghetti — how do you mess up spaghetti?
— ordering over the phone? — when we order over the phone we got a hot dog. Why would I want a hot dog? Why do they even have a hot dog on the menu? Why would anyone eat hot dogs with potatoes? Yaaaaa
— chicken wings… throws up in mouth

Was hungry. Been here a few times and just had pizza. Even though it is Pi Day… I wanted something more on the healthy side to go. I ordered the Grilled Chicken and Broccoli Rabe over seasoned roasted potatoes. Dinner Came with side salad with Balsamic Dressing and a fresh Roll.
Mmmm! Good choice! This meal was very tasty and well prepared! Did not disappoint and was much better than expected.
It wasn’t over cooked at all. In fact, it was absolutely wonderful with the combination of tastes were bursting with flavor! There was enough meat to tame my wild beast! Broccoli and potatoes were perfectly seasoned and prepared.
I’m so happy I ate here! My mouth is still dancing even after I ate it! A must try! Hands down this is 5 stars without effort!

I have been ordering from here for about 2+ years and sad to say it has consistently gotten worse. Dine in is fine. Ordering for delivery is a problem, food is sometimes cold/​soggy. They got my order wrong once and I called (nicely) and the man at the front desk caught an attitude with me. I went in the other night (placed the order for pick up) and the nice girl asked me if I wanted anything else. I did, and the guy at front desk glared at me like I just ruined his life.
If you want to dine in, go for it, although there are better italian places around here. For take out, only do it under desperate situations and take a 50⁄50 chance that it will come late, cold or wrong altogether.
