Jerry’s Broad Street Deli

Perfect egg sandwich, just how I like it. The rolls they use are the soft squishy ones, not thick and overly bready kinds. They use just the right egg, taylor ham, and ketchup ratio, nothing overwhelming and you don’t feel like death after one. Everything was even and flat, I love that. Great staple for the area.

I have been ordering the occasional lunch here for at least 5 years. There are 2 – 3 others at work that order here 3+ times each week. I just ordered today and used Unilocal to look up the phone number and thought I was overdue for a review.
Jerry’s is a small local deli that makes all of their sandwiches fresh and made to order. I typically get their half Italian sub which is a solid lunch for all but the most hungry patron. A whole sub is literally work to finish but the inevitable nap at your desk will have you drooling on your keyboard. I just get the half or the $ 5 foot long, which seems to have as much meat as the smaller half but on a foot long roll. Subs here are way better than the Subway-​esqe brands out there.
I have had Jerry’s cater sandwich platters to work for large groups of visiting clients and the food has always been a hit. Prices are reasonable and they fill orders quickly. We usually call orders in for pickup and they are ready in 5 – 10 minutes.
Cash is king here but they do take credit cards for $ 10+ orders. Eat-​in seating is limited but most folks take their orders to go so seating for 4 should be easy. The owner here (Jerry) is just about always there and he takes pride in his shop. These other negative reviews are bogus.

I ordered from here about 3 times. today I ordered a chicken salad sandwich along with some tater tots and onion rings. The sandwich was alright the tater tots and onion rings were so overcooked and greasy it was disgusting. The onion rings were so over cooked that they weren’t even onion rings anymore they were tasteless and nasty. The customer service is probably the worst that I’ve ever seen. Everytime I walk in there I feel as though I have to buy something it’s annoying. It’s not so much the employees it’s the owner that’s so pushy. In those three times I walked into that store I just felt so uncomfortable. I wanted to look at the menu at my own paste and I couldn’t even do that because he was just so unbearable. So that’s the last time I order from there. Definitely no stars for Jerry’s

My husband and I look forward to treating ourselves to lunch from Jerry’s every Saturday when we are home. We enjoy his tuna sub and turkey sandwiches as well as the other subs and specials. We like the store because it is clean and pleasant. Jerry is a nice man with a great staff some of whom are family. Everyone is friendly and very hospitable. They always make sure they get your order right!

I completely disagree with the negative review. Whenever we order from Jerry’s, our sandwiches are fresh, generously sized and tasty. We just placed a catering order from them, at VERY reasonable prices. Coming from Brooklyn, it’s not easy to find good food in Bloomfield and Jerry’s is a definite go-​to for us.

I ordered from here recently and all I have to say is blah! The chicken caesar salad is dry and not well put together, and the Italian hot dog is soaked in ketchup ! The tater tots and fries also come soaked in grease with the bag dripping! Also, very overpriced for such bad food!
