Just got my haircut at Brookdale. I just had to give shout out to Freddie and this place. He is a phenomenal barber and did a great job fixing the mess from my previous trip to SuperCuts(yes, I know, I know). So a great cut, and even better conversation. Will come back again for sure!

Great Barber. Great chatting. Atmosphere is comfortable. I would recommend anyone to come over and get their haircut. I showed Freddy a picture and he cut it exactly as I liked it. I was able to get out in half hour.

It’s nothing fancy but you’ll get a great cut and Freddie is extremely nice. Affordable and courteous and guaranteed to hear some interesting conversations from the regular crew of friends that hang out there all day. He even has free coffee and cake!

This guy is awesome. Its just like the barber I had growing up in Pittsburgh. Lots of old guy chit chat, hair cuts that dont kill your bankroll and come out the way you wanted, and Freddie remembers everyone who goes there. Heck he knows everyone in the area. It can get busy at at times because he’s a good barber, and he wants to make sure you get a good cut. But its worth the wait and the price is great.

I have been going here for more than 30 years. Freddie is a great barber. An old time barber shop with a barber who knows how to cut hair whether you’re a kid or adult. He truly knows how to barber. I travel over 20 miles and it’s worth it.

This is a great, basic place. Nothing fancy and beautifully, deliberately simple. Brookdale Barber is what the corner/neighborhood barber shop should be. The cuts are inexpensive. The conversation is always colorful and you walk out feeling you got more than you paid for. I’ve been getting my hair cut there for three years and been taking my 5-year-old son there for nearly as long and have always been pleased. Freddy, the owner and proprietor, is a nice man who makes everyone feel welcome and never lets anyone get out of line. The only things you need to bring are patience, your wallet and a good sense of humor.

Pretty good cut. The shave was great! Freddy is the barber who owns the place and he’s the only guy there but if you get there when nobody else is waiting then your good to go. I can imagine if you get there when there’s a slight rush you will probably be in for a long wait tho. Overall good, cheap shop that’s worth the shave & cut.

I wouldn’t go for my hair, but my husband is sold. In fact, he’s thinking he might go back every couple of weeks. This is an old school barbershop. Joe has been cutting and shaving for 50 years, and he uses a straight edge razor to finish off the cut. He’s friendly, efficient, and if my husband wants to go back, that’s a huge recommendation. It’s not hip or chic; it’s not squeaky clean or fancy. There’s one barber chair, and only 1010WINS plays on the radio(which, admittedly, I like). I’m hoping my son will chill out about getting a haircut so we can take him here.
