The Wine Guy

I found this place online and finally got a chance to come in here today to check the place out.
The positives:
Small store with a great selection. I’m not the most educated wine person, but there seemed to be a little bit of everything here.
Great location and easy to find. They also have wine tastings here as well, and if you check in, you get 50% off.
Guy seemed knowledgeable and passionate about the business. I love that I’m dealing with someone who KNOWS what their selling, and can educate me during the process. I was offered a free sample of wine, which I passed on, but definitely a positive!
The negatives:
Prices are a bit steep, and even though I’m sure it’s quality stuff. $ 50 a bottle is a bit much for me. Sometimes I want a $ 9.99 bottle because sometimes it’s just a matter of picking up a bottle to take to a party or serve at my house with dinner.
They have a cute bar, but the seating is limited. I wanted to sit down and drink after I walked around, but a birthday party walked in and the one chair was in the middle of the party. Not the Wine stores fault, but a bigger bar would have been good.
I don’t think they serve food. I don’t require a full meal, but snacks with wine seems to help hold the stomach, and absorb the wine when doing a tasting. I didn’t ask, but I’m pretty sure they don’t serve food.
I want more wine knick knacks! Hardly any merchandise for sale!
Overall a great place. I would love to return for a tasting and learn about wine again.

What a great find! They have everything you need, from the inexpensive but great wines, to the super exclusive… and if they don’t have it on the shelf they will order it for you! There is a Sommelier on staff that knows everything you could ever want and more about any/​every wine… what a great experience! There is also a tasting bar so you can taste wine while shopping… everyone there is super helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. I am thinking of having a private wine tasting there with some friends this summer… I was suprised how inexpensive it is! Just simply a great place and on the recommendation list to friends as a «must visit»!!
