After all the great reviews I expected much better. Your customer service is a joke. After a terrible experience yesterday a manager called me and tried to tell me all the ways their receptionists try to help me when they did NONE of the things she said. After cancelling my appointment for being one minute late they offered me an appointment for 2 hours later even though there was one available 15 minutes from then. You have lost a good customer. Maybe you can retrain your team in what customer service really means. One minute won’t break your timeline for a simple eyebrow wax but it will cost you at least a few good customers(as I am telling my family members to move on) and several bad reviews online. Congratulations on excelling in poor customer service.

Okay now before anyone gets upset with my 3 star review… Please understand that I think on a visit-by-visit basis this place gets various ratings. I have been going here for almost 2 years, and every 4 weeks I get a Brazilian. Some visits have been 5 stars while others have been 1 star. Pros — the price. You can’t beat the price, where most spas/salons charge upwards of $ 70 for this service, you can get a Brazilian for less than $ 50. And EWC is constantly running specials/payment plans which I ALWAYS take advantage of. Also — the cleanliness. It’s clean, fresh, smells good, and doesn’t make me feel uncomfortable when I’m stripping down to nothing. Cons — the difference from waxer to waxer. I have seen more than half a dozen different waxers at EWC. 2 waxers in particular are in my opinion fantastic. Mallory and Casey. They are thorough, make you feel comfortable, and efficient. Unfortunately, there are also waxers employed there on the other end of the spectrum. They take forever, leave patches of hair, and pull too slowly or don’t let the wax cool and harden before pulling. I am of the opinion that if I’m paying $ 50 for a service, I want it done right the first time. They do offer a service that if you’re unhappy, you can revisit within 5 days for a free touch-up. However as a busy working woman, I don’t always have the time. Lesson being, once you find a waxer at EWC that you love… Never make an appointment with ANYONE else! If you follow that rule, you will not be disappointed.

Our experience was ok. Not has great as the others that have reviewed it. Didn’t feel the girl went out of her way at all to make a pleasant experience. Nothing special about the place really, not even that great a job of waxing. Might try it again, just in case this was a fluke experience. The other reviews and chat about town make this place sound like it is amazing. We did not find that to be the case at all; other than you do receive a complimentary free wax, which is very cool. But I would have had a serious problem if I had to pay for the service for the quality received. Might give them a second chance

I really like this place… I have thick eyebrows that get wild and out of control… Every time I have gone here I have left looking great. The waxers are very friendly(I’ve seen many different ones). The place is extremly clean and has a spa feel to it. They do charge a few dollars more than some other places but the quality experience you get there is worth it!!! Better than some back alley salon with preused old wax that makes you break out. You get what ya pay for. Great place.

Kim did my Brazilian and it was one of the best I’ve had! She made me feel comfortable and was gentle every step of the way.

I’ve been going to EWC for about a year now. I have gotten eyebrow’s, legs, and Brazilian. All have been great experiences. I now go regularly for my Brazilian waxes and I have tried a few waxers out. Casey is my current waxer and I love her. She take’s her time and does a very thorough job. I now make sure I book with her for every visit. I was very nervous getting the Brazilian wax for the first time but they were very open and honest through out the whole experience. I like that they keep conversation so I am less nervous. The staff are very nice and friendly. They do try to sell their products but I don’t find them too pushy. The waxer asked once and the front desk asks once. They always try to sell packages after the wax and I always decline. BUT yesterday I finally bought once because I do go regularly and it will save me money. I do find $ 42 expensive for a Brazilian, but I love it so I pay for it. I have no other places to compare EWC too as this is the only place i’ve been but I don’t plane on switching.

The place is very clean they do not double dip! The only waxer who does not leave me with patches of missed hair is the trainer steph. If your spending the money make sure you look over where you got waxed to make they didn’t miss a spot!

I have been going to the EWC for about a year, after previously going to a couple of different salons, and I will not go anywhere else. 1. Their prices are very reasonable. Watch for specials, they offer annual packages and other deals that make it even more worthwhile. I believe there is even a payment plan if so needed! 2. Very clean establishment– waiting room, bathroom, «stations», and the work itself. 3. Every employee I have dealt with, whether upon entering, paying, calling to reschedule, walking back to my room, or whatever, has been very nice, professional and polite. 4. The work they do is fantastic and their products are really nice. I am hooked on their serum which helps keep in-growns at bay and helps reduce growth. The bottles aren’t huge, but a little product goes a long way. They always seem to have a promo of some sort going on with these too. 5. I see one waxer, Kimberly, who I love. She is super nice, makes me feel comfortable and has me laughing the entire visit. She remembers me as soon as I walk in and during our chatting, remembers details in my life and doesn’t make me feel like a number. Let’s face it, waxing is well, awkward. EWC does a great job of making this an all around pleasant experience.

I have never had any kind of professional waxing done other than the usual lip/brow wax. I wanted to try the Brazilian and after some research found the European Wax Spa in Blasdell, NY(other local locations had not yet been open). This was about a 35 minute drive from my house, but it was worth it because it was only $ 25 for the promotion they had going on. I made an appointment, didn’t hear about any waxers there specifically so I would be seeing this technician for the first time. The few days leading up to my appointment, I wanted to cancel even the day of. I worked the nerve up to walk in there and that’s when I knew it was too late to turn around. Upon entering, I was greeted by a very friendly receptionist & another girl who seemed to work there. We chatted for a few minutes, about life, waxing, and then out comes Beth. I was so nervous but Beth reassured me that it’d be a lot easier than it looks. She was right! She had me laughing the whole time, I even squeezed her arm a couple of times and she was okay with that. She was quick, and just about everything else you’d want in someone seeing your private area!(LOL) She made it such a great experience and I am going back and have recommended her to many other people. They do NOT double dip– I saw her take a new stick each time. The atmosphere is very nice, modern & welcoming. It is worth driving out 35 – 45 minutes, even with the newer closer locations. Give it a try. =)
