Just looking for a place to grab a lite dinner. This place looked OK, so I went in. The service was excellent! The food was very good. I had the steak and shrimp with baked potato. I was a little concerned when the waiter did not ask how I wanted the steak prepared, but it came out just as I liked it. Overall, I was favorably impressed and will stop in again.

Good local chain offering American /diner-ish foods. Nothing special, but always consistent. Friendly waitresses. Surprisingly decent breakfast menu.

One of my favorite places for brunch in Blacksburg. I always get an egg pancake and bacon or sausage combo plate and it never disappoints. I’ve never gotten the lunch or dinner items so I can’t compare to other reviews. I’ve always been seated without a wait and food has been delivered to the table very promptly. My coffee cup is constantly being refilled as well! I’ve never had a bad experience here but I would recommend ordering breakfast when here, as that is their main strength

Tried Famous Anthony’s for the first time this week with a friend. The customer service was alright. Our waitress did what she had to do and was very polite about it. The one thing that bothered me was how they bussed the table down RIGHT when they were seating us there. It was a little rude and made our menus wet. The main reason this review is so low is because of the food. The food was horrible. I had the fish and chips and it was a very small portion. The fish wasn’t seasoned very well. The best part of the meal was probably the curly fries(the chips.) They were crisp and seasoned well but it’s hard to mess up fries. As for dessert, I went with the strawberry cheesecake. The cheesecake was very gritty and the crust was subpar. It wasn’t sweet enough and provides nothing more than a filler. I think they used a wheat graham crust, which made it funny. As for my friend, he said his chili was a very dry. The cheese looked over melted. He got the Hershey pie for dessert and he said it was decent. All in all, if you’re looking for a Waffle House type thing with more options, this is your place. The prices are pretty good but don’t expect good quality

Food looks like garbage and tastes even worse. We ordered a Spaghetti Bowl and a Big Easy burger. Spaghetti came out overcooked and soggy. The salad that came with it looks like a left over Taco Bell lettuce. The burger was even worse: beef patty was overcooked and oily, kaiser rolls looked like it was dipped in water. We also paid $ 5 for literally 5 onion rings. Fries were absolutely horrendous. Oh, and not to mention the service was below average, at best. WILL. NEVER. EAT. HERE. AGAIN. Wendys would’ve been a better choice.

Horrible food and barely average service. This place reopened and we decided to give them a try. Greasy spoon is a compliment. Cheapest grade of restaurant food the vendor must provide. You are going to need some Rolaids or Alka Seltzer if you try it. My daughter ordered cheese nachos with extra cheese. The server said there would be an additional charge for the extra cheese and that was okay as long as we got the extra cheese. I specifically asked her to tell the cook to layer the cheese and not just sprinkle on top. The nachos took forever to arrive and when they did they did not have enough cheese… forget any extra. It was a sprinkle of shredded cheese on top. I told the server to remove the charge for extra cheese because we did not get it. My daughter only ate some of the top layer of the nachos and left a plateful of non-cheesed nachos. The entrees: one kid’s meal of the ham and cheese sub and one grilled chicken wrap. Both with fries. The sub and the wrap were awful. We did not get past a few bites. The fries were the frozen crinkle cut type that were still white and cold. I asked our server for fresh crispy fries, please. She seemed offended and walked off. No apology. Nothing. It took about 20 minutes of no server and empty drink glasses as we sat. She finally reappeared with fries that looked about the same but were warm. I asked for refills and the server let out a big sigh like I as being unreasonable. I am sitting at the table full of barely touched food that I can not eat. May I please have a refill of soda? We were over the experience at that point and asked for our bill. Just pay and run out as fast as you can. The kitchen is open and the cook asked as we walked by if everything was alright. I calmly told him that our food was inedible and we would not be back. He shrugged his shoulders and went back to the grill. I am glad he did not care because I certainly don’t care to darken their doorstep again. I have heard their breakfasts are better. Someone else can comment on that because I will never find out.

This place opened over the summer it seems and I was excited to try it out — before I realized the sort of establishment it is. Anyway, the service was very friendly so I greatly appreciated that. However, the food is on par with the IHop’s and Denny’s of the world — nothin’ wrong with that but one certainly wouldn’t expect culinary magic from this place!
