This place has the worst service ever. The women behind the counter will ignore you and turn their backs on you while they happily chat about their personal lives etc. If you can get their attention, they are borderline rude. Once I finally got a beer(after 10 minutes of standing by the bar), I tried to get something to eat and after another 10 minutes the younger woman said«now you want something to eat?». Completely obnoxious! I live in the area and gamble 1x/week but refuse to go back here. I like to support local but this place is badly managed and the help is lazy. Also, you can only get into their drawings by hitting a jackpot so the same names are always drawn out of the barrel to win cash. If you want to support local and prefer a smaller intimate casino, I suggest Central City. They have several places where you can get a beer and a bite to eat(with friendly service) and have a chance at winning a little extra on the side.

Very crowded and small. Love the sasquatch in the front although we had to maneuver around tables of donuts and were unsure about that the signs advertising the Hamster Races. The photographs chronicling the making of sasquatch is really neat but I didn’t get to see them. Very popular place but everything was so squished that we didn’t stay to play. Maybe next time.

After being an avid visitor to the Wild Card Saloon for several months, one of the Sasquatch Casino’s sister properties, I finally got the chance to stop in and check it out. Similar to its sister property, you won’t find the glitz and glamour of the mega properties down the road here — it’s small, laid back, and no frills, which are pretty much my personal preferences. One factor that definitely stood out here was the amount of promotions and specials going on for a smaller sized property. I was given the lowdown on the food specials at the bar, the pizza restaurant upstairs with its 99 cent slice specials, and the various promotions. After discovering the kiosk of 10 cent Sizzling 7s machines, I was pretty amped to find out that they’ll give you an extra $ 10 in cash every time you line up 3 red sevens with max bet. Let’s just say I’d probably be loaded if every casino I visit did that! This particular promotion runs every day, and I was able to leave with an extra $ 150 simply due to the fact that it exists. Oh yeah, and they race hamsters as well. Gotta admit too, their logo and players card crack me up — unique, and borderlined cheezy! And yes, there are two full scale stuffed Sasquatches in the middle of the casino, as the other photo indicates. Classic. It’s worth a visit, no doubt.

Great place to lose money and be treated rudely. Contains the only place in Black Hawk for kids as they have a small arcade in the basement. However, half the machines will eat their money too and won’t be refunded. The bartender and cage worker were both extremely rude and all the employees were gathered in a corner talking about the kids complaining about their lost money. Never again! Go next door and go upstairs for excellent food and a friendly cook and poor customer service from the rest of the workers! Maybe it just runs in the blood in that town?
