Flavorless steak, floppy crab legs and an embarrassing salad bar. Apparently when I visited they were not doing a stir-fry, but rather ‘make your own pasta’. Lame. I could have eaten at home much better. This is easily one of the worst buffets I’ve ever been to, which is surprising… because I kept hearing good things about the ‘buffet in Central City’ where you can get steak and seafood for cheap. I wasn’t even expecting a Vegas quality buffet, but on a weekend right after the New Year you’d have thought this place could have put out a spread a little better. The variety SUCKED. If you are like me and you go to buffets more for the variety and not for the fact that you can stuff yourself silly, steer clear of this place. Our dinner for two cost us $ 36.32, w/o tip and when I got home and looked at my bank account they charged my account for nearly $ 5 more then I had signed to. When I called to ask WTF they said, «oh yeah our computers seem to have problems sometimes on the weekends and they charge more… it should drop off in a few days.» I’m not very comforted that a place that is inside of a casino can’t figure out how to fix their systems and charge me the right price for my meal. I was so excited to see that half of the restaurant was a dessert bar… that is until I took my first bite of Sahara dry chocolate cake.

If you find yourself in need of a break from gambling and want to eat at a buffet this one is actually pretty good. My recommendation is skip all the stuff that’s put out and head straight to the wok section. You can fill out a little sheet that tells them what veggies, protein(beef, chicken, or shrimp), and sauce that you’d like them to stir-fry for you. It was easily my favorite part of the buffet. They also have a sort of raw bar with oysters, shrimp and sushi. I thought it was weird, but Nick said the shrimp were tasty. And a salad bar and lots of carving stations and pastas and other odds and ends. When you think you’re getting full stop eating and save some room for the carrot cake. It was actually really good with nice spices and delicious frosty. Surprisingly so. Overall, I thought it was a pretty good value for a buffet.
