A great place to stay if you have pets. I made my reservations online because when I called the woman who answered told me she was too busy to help me. When we checked in, she couldn’t find our reservation and kept asking me if I was sure I had actually made one. I showed her the email confirmation and then she let us stay here! Only then would she give us the rate we had been promised in writing! When we got to our room there was no table! When I asked her for a table she said she couldn’t give us one. It had been a 700 mile day and we were tired. She was slow, obstructive, unhelpful, negative, argumentative. Thing is, we were going to be there for a week with family. There were going to be some epic card cames. She was so impossible and unprofessional. She argued with me about wanting a table in my room! Hey my mom is 84 and she likes to eat, write, etc at a table. It was quite impossible! We didn’t have any surface– not even a desk! I was so furious about the whole thing. We decided to sleep on it and talk to someone else the next day. The next day, when I asked the new person at the desk named KaDee if she could give us a table, she said,“absolutely!” By the time we walked back to our room, the whole very minor request was taken care of. She really did her job, didn’t obstruct, gave terrific customer service and exhibited a real“can-do” attitude. The maintenance supervisor was fantastic! Brought our table right away, pulled out the overstuffed, dirty lazy boy, fixed the AC in my sister’s room, the housekeeping was fantastic! All in all, aside from our initial abysmal experience, our stay was very nice! I’m hoping that the person I talked to originally will get another job that doesn’t involve customer service. Pluses: Pet friendly Laundry Fantastic restaurant Pool and hot tub Great BBQ!

This is one of those hotels that used to be a pretty nice place but that was 20+ years ago. Now this hotel is past it’s prime and in need of many updates. Although I would highly recommend the restaurant Minervas it’s a very good place to eat. The door to my room did not close automatically and you had to wiggle handle to get door to close. The walls are so thin, you can hear everything not only in the hallway but outside too. This hotel is on a busy intersection and that makes for a lot of traffic. The heater sounds like a motor running or a big drill. Had to hold the handle on the toilet down for it to flush all the way. No fridge or microwave in the room. Others in my group stood at the front desk for 10 – 20 minutes while the person in the office was on the phone. There are so many new Hotels in Bismarck that there’s no reason to stay at these tired old places just because they are familiar.

I have to admit I was crazed when my husband told me how much it was for one night to stay here. I was glad they had a restaurant and bar on site because I hate having to get delivery or get back out after we FINALLY finished for the day. Walking to «Manerva’s we discovered that there also was a pool on the premises… SCORE! As you can see by the photos this place is well worth the price. I just want to say I have stayed in 100 hotels this year and MAYBE10 of the beds were actually sleepable. This is definitely on the top 3 of very comfortable beds and, truly to me, THAT is all that matters. Here are a few photos they might not have on line. The food & service at Manerva’s was really great. We have decided to come back tomorrow when done working to do it all over again… I’m so excited!

THEPLACETOSTAYIFYOUHAVEPETS! We have 2 large dogs traveling with us, and most places charge $ 10 – 20 per dog per night(this place doesn’t charge any pet fee at all). The building is nothing really to look at from the outside, but the inside was updated nicely. The staff was incredibly friendly, the hotel was quiet, the location is central to most everything and everything functioned as it should. Definitely not a 5-star place, but it definitely holds value for being in the«under $ 100» category!

I «upgraded» my room here because on previous business trips the standard rooms were unkempt and shabby. The upgraded room was no different. Wallpaper coming off walls, wood skin peeling off doors in chunks. Room entry door had to be forced shut. Thermostat on heater didn’t work, so either cook or freeze. Sink wouldn’t drain and toilet clogged on first use. Hot tub out of service, no sauna. I will pay for my own room elsewhere before I stay here on expenses again. Overall the room was old and shabby but clean.

I was going to say what hasn’t gone wrong but I don’t want to jinx it when we still have two days left here. First of all, we are in town for a family wedding. We have family coming in from all over the country. Problem 1: When we made our reservations in early July, we specifically asked for a handicapped room for my elderly, extremely feeble grandmother. At the time they told us that they couldn’t specifically reserve those rooms, so we made a regular reservation. So, when we checked in last night, we checked again(meaning to pay full price for a handicapped room that night, even though my grandmother wouldn’t be in until the next day) but they said no problem, we will have them available when she checks in tomorrow. When she checked in ALLOFTHEHANDICAPPEDROOMSAREFULL!!! Problem 2: Some of us are getting billed(per our check in) at the group wedding rate and some of us are getting billed at the regular rate. Problem 3: The rooms have almost no outlets(seriously, in this electronic age???) Almost everyone I know here has at least a phone charger and a laptop charger not to mention what is going to happen with girly plug in appliances when wedding prep starts tomorrow. Problem 4: After the first night, I had to get my room keys re-done they had only keyed them for one night of my 4 night stay. Problem 5: There are no fridges in the rooms(this is off of a major commuter/business/college area in Bismarck) and housekeeping keeps throwing away the few food items that we have. Will update more later… I hope this experience improves.
