I really enjoyed this place. I will return each and every time I visit Bismarck as it truly is a one-of-a-kind gem! Serving small portions(tapas) for sharing or for those that like to try a lot of different things. The items are quite original and show that the chef is really enjoying what he does. They truly care about what they are making. They also appear to have a great list of alcoholic concoctions with some serious bartenders. Give them a try you won’t regret it!

Excellent place! We will most certainly be back. We were driving through town and found this great place. Natalie, the waitress was great also. I wouldn’t order the shrimp and grits again — too spicy for me, but I would order everything else again(my favorite– the rueben wontons). The tres Leche dessert was also very good.

What an unexpected treat! Staying at a hotel for business in town on the north side of 94 and was not disappointed in making the drive downtown. Small plates are their thing here. Oyster soup and cheeseburger egg rolls were wonderful and just the right amount of food for this guy. In town or driving through, this place is a must stop.

Everything was fantastic! The small plates were a great way for us to try many items. We had french onion crostinis, TTHD(tater tot hot dish), chimichurri steak, twice baked potato, cheeseburger eggrolls, cowboy mac & cheese, duck gyoza, and salted caramel bacon popcorn! They were all awesome! Our server/bartender, Katie, was so helpful and highly talented behind the bar. I had a drink called Orange is the New Black, and a very unique Popcorn Buttered Rum that I will be back for! We are only here for the weekend but plan to come back again while we are here. This is a must try if you are in the area.

This place is so unique. It’s connected to two other bars, each on its own floor, and each with unique food and drinks. I had the bruschetta and the bread pudding. The price definitely equals the size. But the bread pudding was spectacular. The drink I had was mandarin orange, genever, and spice of some sort. Highly recommended.

I love this little place. It was literally around the corner from my hotel(radison), walking distance was nice. They specialize in small plates which was wonderful. You get the opportunity to try a few things or share several. I had the ruebon wontons, cheeseburger eggrolls, cowboy mac and cheese and chimichurra steak. All small. All delicious. I also had a hot buttered rum drink that warmed me up nicely :)

By far the best food I have had in Bismarck so far. Found this little gem while traveling for business. Small plates, just the right size to allow you to try more than one dish. I felt they were priced well considering the quality of the food. I started with the shrimp street tacos, truffle fries, and the 2X stout. Then finished the meal off with their bread pudding. I don’t even like bread pudding but I hate Pina coladas and banana flavored anything so bread pudding it was. Amazing! No wonder I have never liked it, everyone else is doing it wrong!!! Add that the staff is really friendly and welcoming and you have a first class place to relax, grab a light bite and a drink, and truly enjoy yourself. I will be back for sure!

Cute atmosphere, good service BUT … Overpriced for what you get. Two small tacos that were tasty but $ 4 each. Ordered a grilled artichoke for $ 5 and got a tiny half artichoke worth about five tiny bites. Everything is small which is its claim to fame but the price needs to be either amped down or the small portions need to be amped up to feel you got full dollar value.

I came here because I was told they served food the latest on a Saturday in downtown. I wasn’t expecting much but I was pleasantly surprised by how great this place is! The atmosphere is laid back but very cool in a hipster kind of way. They make fancy cocktails here with attention to detail and the food was really good! A heads up, the plates are small but priced accordingly, so expect to order a couple of dishes if you’re looking for a whole meal. I ordered the street carne asada tacos, duck gyoza, truffle fries, and the roasted chick peas. The tacos were my favorite and were just like what you can find in LA – very well seasoned and very tasty. The duck gyoza was really good too and you really can’t go wrong with truffle fries. Overall I really enjoyed my late night food adventure here and will definitely come back!

Stumbled upon this little gem while attempting to avoid a hail storm. Parked in the public ramp and found this oasis of fine drinks and finger foods. The staff is friendly and the bartenders are true scientists. Overheard one asking a fellow if he had ever viewed a tonic mixed cocktail under a black light as he was describing their process to a guest. I suggest the Duck Gyoza.

I enjoyed every bit of this place! I wasn’t super hungry so my mom and I thought small plates would be perfect. We started with some of their ginger cayenne house made soda. So refreshing! I got a second, this one with vodka. We each had a plate of the french onion soup crostinis, an interesting twist on french onion. They were deliscious! The tator tot dish was brilliant and satisfied my craving for comfort food. I was sad I didn’t have more room for more food. I loved the décor, the atmosphere, the friendly staff. Can’t wait to return for some more tastings:)

The name alone sounded intriguing, so passing through town on a trip west, we had to try it out. We weren’t starving and we were somewhat indecisive so the idea of small plates sounded perfect. We tried about seven different things between the two of us. Our favorites were the chimichurri steak and the Korean ribs. Our least favorite had to be the roasted chickpeas, but we were good sports and we ate them too.

Went her on our date night. Atmosphere is nice, but the«tapas» style food is far from filling. We ordered Mexican street taco that were delicious for 2 for $ 5 – 6 was not even an appetizer. I read another review where they said they ordered 18 plates?! now I understand. This is not a place to go hungry. ordered some chick dish and it was literally one chicken thigh. not a lot to share. Went up to the Luft and had drinks. Over all nice night.

Stopped here alone on a business trip. Everything was really good! I had the ramen, bruschetta and the cheeseburger egg roll. All very good. Does seem crazy to spend $ 4.00 on a single egg roll… But whatever:).

My husband and I heard great things about this restaurant, so we decided to check it out last Saturday. We called to make a reservation, but it turns out they don’t actually do reservations. The hostess advised us to arrive before 6:30PM because it usually fills up quickly after that. We got there around 6:00PM, and had no trouble getting a small table for two right away(I did notice that all of the larger tables were already occupied, however). Both of us really enjoyed the cool, quirky atmosphere. Our server was friendly and helpful, and very efficient! We were surprised by how quickly our food arrived. We loved the Cowboy Mac & Cheese. My husband really liked the Cheeseburger Egg Rolls and I thought the Truffle Fries were awesome. Save some room for the Bread Pudding, it’s phenomenal! We will definitely be going back!

Very unusual cocktails served by bartenders with panache. The Brown Chicken Brown Cacao and Cherry Vanilla Manhattan were killer, but even the Tonic and Gin was a refreshing twist in an old favorite. Tried several of the appetizers and we were mostly impressed. The bread pudding is the hands down winner for dessert(and my wife doesn’t even like bread pudding).

Awesome Surprise — I was dining alone and decided to try humpback sally’s. I was greeted promptly and my waitress Brittany came to help. She is awesome — request her. She had a great personality, explained everything and kept exceptional service. I had a 512 Gin & Tonic. It was different in a good way, not as bitter or tart. The G&T was a Brittany suggestion. My food came out at a nice pace, i eat fast so it was perfect. I started with the seared tuna on a black bean & mustard colored something. The tuna was cooked perfect, my only comment was that I thought it would be warmer. It was like refrigerator cool. It’s not a complaint, I would have it again. I then got the mussels, probably my favorite of the night only because it’s one of the three best prepared mussel dishes I have ever had. It was in lemon grass, Thyme & something else. It was done to perfection. I wish mussels had bigger muscles :) I next had the french onion crostinis. They were wonderful. The took a toast point, drained a french onion soup of it’s broth & put that on the bread and smothered it with cheese. Very tasty. I then had the Tater Tot Thing. It was delicious and was as hot as I expected which was a good thing. Essentially a chorizzo sausage is cut up and mixed with cream of mushroom soup. Then 5 tater tots are placed on top and cheddar cheese was melted on top. It was quite yummy. Desert was the Banana Semfredo. It was a frozen mishmash of marscapone, chocolate crumbles and a banana that drank a bottle of courvosier. Delicious and light. It was a wonderful evening made all the better by Brittany. It is definitely a hip take on North Dakota. This got four stars because I can’t give a half. The only blemish is I went to the 512 bar upstairs — A small bar that is a cross between Captain Nemo’s cabin in 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea and a steam punk bar. It seemed nice, but when I went to the bar, they gave me a drink menu and then served the guy next to me who had walked up after me & his date. A table that had come in after me and no acknowledgement at all. I walaked out after 15 minutes of everyone else getting served but me. They should have the girls downstairs run it — then I’ll go back. Humpback Sally’s is great.

First time to Humpback Sally’s. Somewhat disappointed. I’ve been to many Tapas restaurants around the country and I’m sorry but Sally’s doesn’t live up to my expectations. A friend and I each picked 2 plates each. I know Tapas are small plates but the Bruchetta was 3 very small crustini type bread and wafer thin. Not a lot of flavor. I did not taste garlic, olive oil or oregano. The duck Gyoza had a little heat but again not a lot of flavor. The steak bite my friend ordered was the best. We had to order the sliders, because we were still hungry. They tasted ok but were so so tiny. My total bill was $ 31. $ 14 of that was 2 very good glasses of Merlot. I don’t think I’ll be back for the food but maybe the wine.
